The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

Morality in Media: 'the link between gay marriage and mass murders'

by: Pam Spaulding

Connecting the Dots: The Link Between Gay Marriage and Mass Murders. Yes, that is the subject of a press release by Robert Peters, President of Morality in Media. I sh*t you not. These people are so sick in the head and detached from reality that I can't envision anyone taking them seriously, but the sheeple out there do. He somehow manages to connect the dots from the slide of morality in society -- embodied by acceptance of marriage equality by a growing number of states and other cultural changes -- to gun-wielding crazies blazing away. Yeah.
On April 4 the NY Times ran adjacent front-page articles on the Iowa Supreme Court decision legalizing 'gay marriage' and the gunman who murdered 13 people in New York. That day the Times also ran an op ed article by Charles M. Blow who expressed concern about the negative impact that conservative media's "talk of revolution" could have on "weak minds."

..."This secular value system is also reflected in the 'sexual revolution,' which is the driving force behind the push for 'gay marriage;' and the Iowa Supreme Court decision is another indication that despite all the damage this revolution has caused to children, adults, family life and society (think abortion, divorce, pornography, rape, sexual abuse of children, sexually transmitted diseases, trafficking in women and children, unwed teen mothers and more), it continues to advance relentlessly.

"It most certainly is not my intention to blame the epidemic of mass murders on the gay rights movement! It is my intention to point out that the success of the sexual revolution is inversely proportional to the decline in morality; and it is the decline of morality (and the faith that so often under girds it) that is the underlying cause of our modern day epidemic of mass murders.

Did you know that Morality in Media received YOUR TAX DOLLARS to do its work?
Talk about exploiting tragedy to advance an agenda. It might be tempting to dismiss Peters and Morality in Media as marginal, but this group did receive federal funding from 2005 through 2007. The money supported a Morality in Media project, ObscenityCrimes.org, which paid two retired law enforcement officers to review citizen complaints about obscenity on the Internet and to forward the best leads to the US Justice Department for possible prosecution. A total of $300,000 was provided to Morality in Media through two earmarks Rep. Frank Wolf (R-Va.) placed into spending bills, according to Peters. And a portion of that money went to cover Peters' salary. As The New York Times reported in 2007, no obscenity prosecutions had resulted from the Morality in Media's obscenity-tracking work.

Peters tells me that since 2007--thanks to the fuss about earmarks--he has received no more funds from the US government. After the earmarked grants ran out in 2007, he did apply directly to the Justice Department and was turned down.

Our money wasn't even effectively used, even if you thought that project is a good idea. Kyle at Right Wing Watch saw this tripe and said:
Personally, if I had to write a disclaimer saying "it most certainly is not my intention to blame the epidemic of mass murders on the gay rights movement," I'd think long and hard before publishing whatever preceded or followed that statement.

biblical proportions
Christians like this guy love a good list of nastiness.  After all, isn't the Bible where those lists began?  A quick scan online through the old and new testament will provide you great lists of nastiness which are fun to take and then use at your next game of charades.

For these people practicing this version of Christianity as I did for 23 years, there is nothing more proving of their beliefs than to be able to connect the dots of what they think is nasty.

And that's exactly what Peters is doing here.  He like millions of others who believe this way are not necessarily saying these things thinking that they will change things back but more so as a way of proving that what they read in their bibles is true.

Remember it doesn't have to make sense to you for it to make sense to them.  Logic does not play a part in the thinking of these people practicing this version of Christianity.

You Mean Like The Mass Murders
Jerry Falwell, his "moral majority", Dobson and the rest were trying to push on the gay community 20 or so years ago?  Where they were TRYING to have gays executed alongside mass murderers?

Or is he talking about Ted Bundy, and other mass ladykillers?

Maybe he's talking about Andrei Chikatilo in Russia, who would kill children near bus stations, then eat the uterus of his victims.

Mass murders is definitely linked to the gay rights movement! LOL

Unintentionally amusing
He got himself tangled up in his negatives. If there's an inverse proportion between the success of the sexual revolution and the decline in morality, then the more successful the sexual revolution, the less morality declines.

Sounds about right to me, but I don't think that's what he meant. Apparently he'd heard the phrase "inverse proportion" somewhere and figured anything called "inverse" must be bad.

Can't they find ANYONE competent to proofread their stuff?

Liar
It most certainly is not my intention to blame the epidemic of mass murders on the gay rights movement!
I demand that he be hooked up to a lie detector and repeat this statement.

>^..^<

funny that
ALL of the murders were performed as a cause of the recession, not to mention, they were done at least a couple days before any notification on the passage of equality.

funny too that he said

It most certainly is not my intention to blame the epidemic of mass murders on the gay rights movement! It is my intention to point out that the success of the sexual revolution is inversely proportional to the decline in morality; and it is the decline of morality (and the faith that so often under girds it) that is the underlying cause of our modern day epidemic of mass murders.

that... Is that supposed to suggest that anyone having sex is going to cause their neighbor to go on a shooting rampage? People who play with words are bound to play with fire. Bring out as many straight people to read this and think not just of same sex couple having sex but instead, of all of society and it'll cause a laughing stock.

the Iowa Supreme Court decision is another indication that despite all the damage this revolution has caused to children, adults, family life and society (think abortion, divorce, pornography, rape, sexual abuse of children, sexually transmitted diseases, trafficking in women and children, unwed teen mothers and more), it continues to advance relentlessly.

More fascist drivel. It's kinda scary. they're such nazis and we're supposed to be their gypsies, Jews, the LGBTs (that we already are, Poles, Czechs, and other minorities. Some days it's just too unbelievable that we live in this world. And as Mark Twain said, "History doesn't repeat itself, It rhymes."

"I am the sledgehammer to your 10,000 mirrors." everyone needs to be open and out of their closets.

I would be interetsed in knowing which obscene sites they reported
because I have a feeling that LGBT political sites probably figured prominently

For eight years, my tax dollars supported this nonsense, abstinence education for Bristol Palin, social agencies that would have denied me services, and a foreign policy that propped up regimes that murdered people like me.

I tell you Chica that no greater abomination exists than women denying their spirit of sisterhood and instead becoming the oppressor. -Rebeca, Universidad Complutense de Madrid

Nice Statement
the Iowa Supreme Court decision is another indication that despite all the damage this revolution has caused to children, adults, family life and society (think abortion, divorce, pornography, rape, sexual abuse of children, sexually transmitted diseases, trafficking in women and children, unwed teen mothers

So does than mean he will NOT be endorsing Palin in 2012?

I don't know about Pam but I could learn a thing or two
I have to talk to Caroline Maloney about getting an earmark to set up a gay hate crime web site -;) In the world of earmarks MiM's $300K largesse is chicken feed BUT did anyone look at this website to see how the funds are being (mis)used? They are using the site to solicit donations to MiM.

Maybe there is more crime
because the population has increased. 306,188,000 as of today (April 10, 2009).

Denabeth

Cisgender. Because "Genetic" is so 2006.

Crapatronic!
Shows yet again how amorphous, emotionally loaded terms like "morality" are incredibly susceptible to abuse.

With rare exceptions (rape, people not being straightforward with one another about the level of commitment they desire, etc.), sexual matters simply have nothing to do with "moral" questions involving how we treat our neighbors.  The only reason they get lumped together is because some religious devotees have chosen to regard certain sexual behaviors as immoral - making Peters' editorial nothing but a huge, calcified lump of circular logic.
