The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

We're Angry- Let's Have A Tea Party!

by: Louise

Wed Apr 15, 2009 at 09:00:00 AM EDT

Shall we all adjourn to the Blend's parlor for tea?

Rick Santelli's little rant and its aftermath will come to fruitition all over America today, as "Tax Day Tea Party" protest events are scheduled throughout the country.

This clip sums up how angry people are:

Oh yes, the Republicans are very angry indeed. And fair warning: they fully expect that "Liberals" are going to crash their parties and ruin all the fun. Paranoia in the ranks maybe?

What would a party be without party poopers?

As anti-tax protesters organize tea parties across the country on April 15, rumors are swirling that a backlash is brewing.

Some believe ACORN, which has been under scrutiny for accusations of voter fraud, is preparing to crash some of the tea parties. But ACORN says it is only helping to organize dozens of rallies on the same day in support of President Obama's first budget.

"This is the first we've heard of these so-called 'tea parties.' And, frankly, a bunch of small get-togethers by fringe conservative activists dedicated to simply saying 'no' is of little interest to us," said ACORN spokesman Brian Kettenring.

He did not say where the pro-Obama rallies would take place, leaving open the possibility that they may clash with some tea parties.

More below.

Louise :: We're Angry- Let's Have A Tea Party!

Tea party organizers, meanwhile, say they're not worried at all about possible disruption.

"If ACORN wants to send some of their paid, pretend activists to show up, that's fine," John O'Hara, who is holding a tea party in Chicago, told FOX News. "They don't have a message that resonates with the American people or resonates with this broad coalition that's upset with the spending that's going on in Washington."

"We don't take them seriously," said Mark Mekler, who is organizing a tea party in Sacramento. "We expect people to attempt to infiltrate, we expect people to attempt to disturb what we're doing.

"But the reality is this is a very broad-based grassroots movement," he told FOX News. "There is no leader at the top. There is no individual event that they can disturb that would cause us a problem nationwide."

Taxdayteaparty.com, which is helping to organize the protests, said more than 250 locations in all 50 states will hold rallies on April 15. Some believe ACORN will try to make the tea parties look like fringe group efforts at best, and racist undertakings at worst.

Poor RNC Chairman Michael Steele- no one remembers that he is the leader of the GOP party and no one wants to teabag him. Although he claims that's not true and is just a rumor- LOTS want to tea bag him! It's all just a matter of miscommunication and timing...

But even with all this curiousity running through my head, I can't imagine even going for "research and photography purposes"like some others do... shudder!

That's not to say that there is no little measure of controversy around this nationwide event.

But you might want to watch this informational clip provided by Rachel Maddow and guest Anna Marie Cox. I had no idea what teabagging even was, let alone that so many Republicans were into it!

Coffee, anyone?

Apparently there's a tea party about 5-10 minutes away from me.  I'm tempted to go to see how many (I suspect it will actually be "how few") people show up but I really just can't bring myself to care.  I'm such a radical agitator, being that I'm a secular leftist...

My America includes LGBT families.

I think the Peter would be teabagged in Lisle.

He wishes!
Ok, I went.  I just drove through since I really didn't want to invest too much time into this because it almost seems scripted with these people.  When traffic crawled I took a few pictures, and of course although I checked before I left, the battery was low.  Here are the pictures, maybe a couple hundred people?
http://s72.photobucket.com/alb...
I had the window of the car open and they kept droning the usual platitudes about how great and free this country is and how wonderful our military is but, alas, it's also good to have stuff.  There were flags everywhere, on cars and clothes, but some of the signs weren't patriotic.  Two that I tried to take pictures of were "Start the Revolution" (there were a couple of those), "Stop Wasteful Spending" (except in Iraq apparently), and I'm not sure about the last one.  A guy was holding up something that looked like it said "Excuse me while I take Pelosi", but that couldn't be the case because true patriots wouldn't condone violence against elected officials, would they?  I thought that I aimed the camera right at these people but they were nowhere to be seen.  I blame the camera but can't rule out vampirism.  Well, if vampires can tolerate overcast conditions...

My America includes LGBT families.

Louise, don't stereotype!
Just because there are so many GOP closet cases doesn't mean that things connected to them come to "fruitition" as opposed to "fruition."

"In order to maintain an untenable position, you have to be actively ignorant."  The Colbert Report

I feel like I should have something to say about this,
but every comment I can think of is a double entendre.  What does that say about this "grassroots movement" that was spearheaded by the GOP's own Newt Gingrich?

The American people, taking one with another, are the most timorous, sniveling, poltroonish, ignominious mob of serfs and goose-steppers ever gathered under one flag in Christendom since the end of the Middle Ages.

Double Entendre? That's an understatement
I LOVED Keith O last night talking about how "a Dick Armey" was heading the group of GOP "leaders" who are embracing this teabagging. I mean, the jokes just write themselves.

Astroturfing...
is the closest that the GOP can come to "grassroots", so they're pushing to change the definition of "grassroots".  It's the same thing they've been doing with "socialism," "security," etc.: redefining words to make them easier to use to political advantage.  It doesn't help that the Democrats mostly play along and never seem willing to call them on it.

tea party
looks like a massive failure, that faux gave huge coverage to. Poor gop could not get arrested right now. newt is running for president already

Right idea, extremely poor planning and execution
We should have planned this when Mellisa Ethridge announced that she was doing this after the passage of Proposition 8. Join the Impact did a poor job of putting this together at the last minute and we are copying after the wing-nuts.

Epic FAIL!!!!

I can't wait to watch Keith and Rachel tonight,
They have been talking about these Tea Parties and it has been hilarious.  From the little I have seen, it looks like McSame/Bible Spice supporters.

If I make sense? it was quite by accident.

I was thinking
Peets should counter-program their own tea parties. The purpose of these tea parties would be to drink delicious tea. Bridge will be played.

So very many lies and a few threats
on Fox's website
For instance, the ACORN canard; a few volunteers were investigated.
The anti-union comments were disenheartening
and then there was this:

We need to squash some ACORNS they are nothing but leaches on our Country. 80/20 rule. AMMO UP AMERICANS

Perhaps somone ought to pass this onto ACORN, not onl;y is Fox smearing them, it is acting as host for people planning violence against it.

LGBT's: buy guns and learn how to use them. Sooner or later these people will be coming for us...

I tell you Chica that no greater abomination exists than women denying their spirit of sisterhood and instead becoming the oppressor. -Rebeca, Universidad Complutense de Madrid

I've been predicting for years
that it's only a matter of time before one of these lunatics goes into a community center or attends a Pride event and starts shooting everyone in sight.  It's happened, on a fairly small scale, once or twice, but I'm sure there's much worse to come.  The right-wing is doing everything they can to insure it--along with, I'd guess, a new spate of abortion clinic attacks and probably a few attacks on synagogues ("stop the Israel lobby!"). And there will be other attacks as well which, being (relatively) sane, I can't envision.

The recent ambush murder of three cops here in Pittsburgh was clearly fueled by the Beck/O'Reilly/Palin rhetoric.  (One of the cops who was killed was the son of a guy I went to college with.)  It won't be the last, and I couldn't be more certain our community will be a prime target.

And when any or all of these things happen, you can be sure our media will present "both sides of the story," just to be fair.

The American people, taking one with another, are the most timorous, sniveling, poltroonish, ignominious mob of serfs and goose-steppers ever gathered under one flag in Christendom since the end of the Middle Ages.

What are they so upset about?
Obama just passed a huge tax cut for the middle-class, and these idiots get tax breaks because they're straight and married and breeding. What exactly do they have to whine about?

Oh yeah, there's a black man in the White House, and the Rethugs had their asses handed to them in our democratic election this past November. Sorry, I forgot. My bad.

God save ornery old queens! - kevinchi

It's even dumber than that
The tax rates in effect today, and the taxes we're all paying, are the Bush tax rates.  The bailouts they claim to despise started under Bush--and there wasn't a peep out of them then.  The "big business in bed with big government" syndrome they're screaming about reached it fullest fruition under Bush/Cheney (though the Democrats are far from innocent).  This is so clearly more GOP bomfogging it's ludicrous.  The Republicans will stir up anti-Obama sentiment on any pretext they can think of, and the same crowds that oohed and aahed for Palin and Joe the Plumber will swallow it hook, line and sinker.  Hell, they're such nitwits they'll even swallow the fishing pole.

The American people, taking one with another, are the most timorous, sniveling, poltroonish, ignominious mob of serfs and goose-steppers ever gathered under one flag in Christendom since the end of the Middle Ages.

Rant
My BIL, a construction manager with 20 years' experience, got laid off in September. But for the grace of a last minute unionization my sister would have lost her job with the city. They fell behind in their mortgage payments because my BIL was denied unemployment, so I was helping them keep the utilities on and the kids fed through the winter.

Unions saved my sister's job, and her family. The stimulus package put my BIL back to work. Thanks to the Obama tax cut just passed, as a blue-collar family they'll pay less in taxes one year from now than they did today. Thanks to the Obama administration's plan to stop foreclosures, they will be able to keep the home they've been living in for the last ten years.

I have no love for the man on LGBT issues. I think he's a mealy-mouthed bigot through and through. But I'll be forever grateful to his administration for saving my sister's family from undeserved catastrophe.

My sister is one of the main reasons these little tea parties make me so angry. These wealthy, white, entitled, ignorant know-nothings don't have the first clue what a bad economy feels like to a family. If they think they have something to whine about regarding the economy, they need to go talk to my sister. She'll bitchslap their pampered asses back to their hedge fund manager's cubicle.

...and from FREEDOM WORKS: Geek Cheat Sheet for teabaggers....
Teabagging: as per FREEDOM WORKS geek cheat sheet.

was to be about: Small Government,
Low Taxes,
Fiscal Responsibility
and Liberty.

But they were to WATCH OUT: Because Huff Po and other wesites
were sending out citizen journalists with video camera, to document
instances of
Racism,
Bigotry
and other Stupidity.... wait how could they be documented
if they didn't happen?

One of the most entertaining warnings is to protestors weary of getting dinged by junior high-type locker room gags ...
DON'T BE DUPED! The term "teabagging" has strong sexual connotations. Be wary of anyone with a camera asking you if you are a "teabagger" or if you enjoy "teabagging" or similar leading questions - they are trying to make a fool of you.
