The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

Winger Tea Bagger calls Obama a 'fascist'

by: Pam Spaulding

Wed Apr 15, 2009 at 15:15:00 PM EDT

These ignorant wingers are out and about protesting government spending at the Tea Parties being held today, calling the president a fascist. Wait, I thought he was a socialist.

Amanda Terkel of Think Progress just Tweeted "MSNBC: White House lawn evacuated bc someone threw a tea bag over the fence."  (MSNBC):

Hundreds of rallies against government spending were being held across the nation, more than 235 years after the original Boston Tea Party tax revolt.

Organizers say they're steamed at increased government spending since President Barack Obama's administration took over.

...In Atlanta, thousands of people were expected to gather on the steps of the Georgia Capitol, where Fox News Channel conservative pundit Sean Hannity was set to broadcast his show Wednesday night. He's been promoting the show on Fox.

...In Washington, D.C., protesters had planned to dump a million tea bags in Lafayette Square and even promised to put the bags on the tarps and clean up afterward. But their plans were thwarted after National Park Service officials said protesters didn't have the proper permit to dump the bags, NBC affiliate WRC TV reported.

"We have a million tea bags here, and we don't have a place to put them because it's not on our permit," said Rebecca Wales, lead organizer of D.C. Tea Party.

For those out there declaring Obama a socialist and proponent of Big Government, I hope that they are ready to give up their Social Security bennies or take their old man out of Medicare?

The GOP and their goons are really out of ideas, it's all about theatre now.

BONUS! "It's Hard to Talk When You're Teabagging"

Gergen: "They still haven't found their voice, Anderson. This happens to a minority party after it's lost a couple of bad elections, but they're searching for their voice."

Cooper: "It's hard to talk when you're teabagging."

Yeah, he's a Fascist/Socialist, Christian/Muslim, Troop Hating/Gay Lover.

The only reason I like to hear the Right-Wing talk is when I need a good laugh, but I've had quite enough of this lobotomy recipients for one day.

Man...
There is a whole lotta stupid out there.

...no wait they aren't following the FREEDOM WORKS Cheat Sheet....
for their grassroots demonstrations: it included:
Teabagging: as per FREEDOM WORKS geek cheat sheet.

was to be about: Small Government,
Low Taxes,
Fiscal Responsibility
and Liberty.

But they were to WATCH OUT: Because Huff Po and other wesites
were sending out citizen journalists with video camera, to document
instances of
Racism,
Bigotry
and other Stupidity.... wait how could they be documented
if they didn't happen?

One of the most entertaining warnings is to protestors weary of getting dinged by junior high-type locker room gags ...
DON'T BE DUPED! The term "teabagging" has strong sexual connotations. Be wary of anyone with a camera asking you if you are a "teabagger" or if you enjoy "teabagging" or similar leading questions - they are trying to make a fool of you.

Parrots
can also be trained to repeat what they hear without comprehension...

These people are simply spitting out what they hear via Rush, Billo, Hannity, Beck etc- it's all nonsensical and by rote. They have no clue what these words mean whatsoever.

I am not against taxation
I am against how the money was managed. Spend the money well, and people will support the taxes and government programs.

In California the in home health care program is upto 5 billion in spending, and there is no accountability for fraud and abuse.

Where a man for example says he is incapacitated where he can not get out of bed and drains 150,000 a year for state aid, but he ends up working in his ice cream truck.

I bet if we eliminated fraud and abuse, we could fund the people who truly need the assistance and ease the strain off taxpayers.

Not much of an organizer if you ask me
"We have a million tea bags here, and we don't have a place to put them because it's not on our permit," said Rebecca Wales, lead organizer of D.C. Tea Party.

How lame do you have to be to spend all of this time and money working toward a specific event and then fail to get the right permit?
Actually I think this also rather eloquently illustrates why people are calling Obama names like "fascist" and "socialist". They have no idea what those words mean. To them, they are just angry words, prompted from their mouths by their bloviating corporate babbling class.

And how lame do you have to be to protest getting a tax cut? I try but it's very difficult sometimes to forgive stupidity of this magnitude.

I believe their original plan
was to dump the tea bags in the Potomac.  They were told they couldn't do that for health/environmental reasons.  Moving the "protest" to Lafayette Park was a hastily improvised Plan B.

Even so, any chump who's ever organized a really of any kind knows you have to get the right permits.  I'd let these people organize something for me like I'd let Joe the Plumber clean my sink trap.

Nimrods!
They had nothing to say when we spent a trillion dollars on the made-up war on terror, or at least the Iraq part of it?  When tens of billions just disappeared with no trace and our GOP said, OH, well, shit happens"?

For you, Lev

This editorial from today's Bangor Daily News:

The Boston Tea Party, a key event leading to the American War for Independence, is being evoked in demonstrations around the country today. The so-called Tax Day Tea Parties, coinciding with the date on which income taxes are due, are to protest the federal government's recent spending sprees. The tea parties have become a conservative rallying point and are being championed by Fox News and other conservative media.

Millions may participate in these events to show their opposition to the government's "out of control spending," as it is often described. Or reporters and politicians may outnumber outraged citizens at many of the events. No matter. Resentment about taxes and government spending will remain a constant. The only thing that changes is the stripes of those protesting.

Twenty-five years ago, President Reagan substantially increased defense spending, from $325 billion in 1980 to $456 billion in 1987 (adjusted to current dollars). Consequently, the deficit and national debt grew in those years as well. Those who opposed the ramp-up in defense spending - and the lack of spending in other areas - also protested, just as the tea party participants are protesting. Some refused to pay the portion of their federal taxes relating to the 50-plus percent of the federal budget tied to defense.

The deficit run up during the George W. Bush presidency, exacerbated by tax breaks for the wealthiest of Americans, did not spur tea parties. Nor did the $700 billion Troubled Assets Relief Program proposed by the last president's treasury secretary. But President Obama's spending plan, aimed at reviving - or at least stabilizing - a flat-lining economy, is deemed worthy of protest.

To be sure, the recent spending sprees by both presidents are worrisome. The Obama plan is a high-stakes gamble, a bet that the economy rebounds and businesses and individuals begin earning more money, thereby generating more tax revenue to pay off the current investments. If conservatives want to hold Democratic feet to the fire, they ought to gear up for action when tax revenues increase. It is then that elected officials forget the bad times and create new programs or expand existing ones.

The vociferous opposition to government spending and taxes is understandable. But it must be weighed against the opposition that comes when government services are cut. The Boston Tea Party is an apt metaphor for this consideration. The rallying cry then was "No taxation without representation." This time, the spending and taxation, realigned to affect the more affluent, is coming at the hands of recently elected representatives. Democrats won the White House, gained seats in both houses of Congress and Maine's State House. Despite the cries heard at the tea parties, the current tax and spend policies are the result, not the failure of American democracy.

I'll post the pictures in this thread too, just in case they got lost below.  Sad attendance:

My America includes LGBT families.

yeah protesting
the taxing of rich people is really going to resonate with people.  Please.  And the other arm of their protest is supposed to be a call for decreased and more responsible spending?  Like Lev asked, where where these patriots when we were starting a war that's sucking us dry?

Also, isn't kind of gross and wasteful to allocate 1 million tea bags to the trash?

If a 50 bag/pack tea carton is $3.99, or about $0.079/bag, then one million tea bags is upwards of $79,000 to $80,000 (or, ($3.99 * 1e6/50)). Surely a fiscal conservative could have found a better use for that much money.  Right?

Electricity's for light bulbs!

That is why..
Local organizers in my area are telling people to donate a can of food for a canned food drive instead of littering tea bags.

"We have a million tea bags here, and we don't have a place to put them..."
I will forgo the obvious suggestion regarding where they can stick their tea bags and propose this idea: Donate the tea to those unfortunate millionaires who lost money on Wall Street due to greed and feel like they can no longer afford to entertain "quality people" with afternoon "tea-and-trash-the-disgusting-commoners" parties. The media can follow up with heart-rending personal accounts of a grateful Buffy and Skip -- tears streaming down their cheeks -- serving their guests and reaffirming their faith that "God must be a Republican".

Blech
Faux Noyz is on behind me (I'm at work) and Neil Cavuto was interviewing some 7 year old kid. Thanks be the sound was off or I might have puked. Do these people even understand what they're supposed to be protesting? The Boston Tea Party was a revolt against trade monopoly, outrageous tariffs, and lack of representation, not government spending. Near as I can tell, these idiots aren't being forced to accept trade monopolies, pay high tariffs, or go without representation in Congress. If they want to protest the stimulus package, all well and good, but FFS, can they at least read a little history first? Fucking racist morons.

God save ornery old queens! - kevinchi

All most of them know
is that they're protesting that n****r in the White House, who is a fascist and a socialist and a Muslim and a terrorist, and I'd imagine that's all most of them care about.

my favorite teabagger comment on that was at Pandagon
These freaks are angry that Obama is "presidenting while black."

[ Parent ]
They're just pissed
because the majority picked solutions other than those they favoured. Too bad, suckers. Seriously - hard to talk while you're teabagging? This is so far beyond parody I can hardly see its rear end anymore.

More use of words they don't understand
This is just more of the same dumb rhetoric that emerged from the GOP convention last year. It is a bunch of angry conservatives using words they don't understand because they know they have a negative connotation. Communist, socialist and fascist - Sure, that is what our democratically elected government is now.

I wish I understood what they were protesting though. They have no clear message just as the Republicans have no clear message or policies. I'd like to see some good ideas from them but they are too busy being angry and shouting.

Here from KOlbermann last night...just wait till tonight!
...and Yes, he did it all with a straight face. Until R Wolfe came on.

Today, the president gave the country an economics 101 lesson on how we got here, and where we are going, and in very simple terms, understandable by even those teabaggers, ...who kept their mouths shut for eight years of draining government coffers only to discover anti-deficit activism in the last three months....

That explanation not a new one, not enough to satisfy insatiable teabaggers nationwide, who claim to represent widespread dissatisfaction with government tax policy and stimulus spending.

FOX News mouthpieces echoing that claim, reporting as fact that Americans overall are upset with high taxes and rising up against Mr. Obama's stimulus package.

Despite claiming neutrality on those policies and the teabag movement itself, FOX has whipped up excitement for the parties, recruiting viewers to come out, guaranteeing huge outdoor gatherings, spilling into the streets, choking off traffic with all their teabagging.

Nor is FOX alone.  Republican talking-heads like former House Speaker Newt Gingrich have pushed their own version of teabagging-down the throats of teabaggers who were, in fact, libertarian supporters of Ron Paul.  Cincinnati teabaggers now into a mouth about taxes got a Boehner endorsement from the House minority leader.

And the nation's teabagging, of course, impossible without this man, a Dick Armey at the head of it-the former House majority leader representing right-wing money bags, who have blown lots of cash to make the movement look as if it's coming from the bottom-up and not the top-down.

A majority of Americans are saying they pay a fair amount or too little, for only the second time in 52 years-suggesting that if enough counter-protesters rear their head tomorrow, if things get too testy, teabagging might jut blow up in FOX's face.

With us now is MSNBC political analyst Richard Wolffe.
Good evening.  How are you?

RICHARD WOLFFE, MSNBC POLITICAL ANALYST:  I'm good.  Thank you for calling the guy with the accent to talk about the tea.  That's very kind of you.
(LAUGHTER)

OLBERMANN:  That's the only thing that wasn't intentional in the last five minutes.

Looks more like a beer hall putsch to me.
These tea party hypocrites never whined about Bushco's wasteful spending, but they would do it when Obama took office.

Also, they flip-flop on the name-calling.  They don't know who Obama really is.

Blasocmusofasciarxist,
Something like that, I just tried to put it all together.  Yeah, it makes as much sense as these protesters do.

Tea, Anyone?

If I make sense? it was quite by accident.
