The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

TX: Teabagging Gov. Rick Perry says it's time for the Lone Star State to secede

by: Pam Spaulding

Wed Apr 15, 2009 at 21:30:00 PM EDT

I'm loving this batsh*t insanity way too much. So Governor Goodhair's ready to take his balls home and bed down with Chuck Norris to make a go of it as the great nation of Texas, announcing this grand decision to reporters in Austin after the local teabagging affair. (Houston Chronicle):

"Texas is a unique place. When we came into the union in 1845, one of the issues was that we would be able to leave if we decided to do that," Perry said. "My hope is that America and Washington in particular pays attention. We've got a great union. There's absolutely no reason to dissolve it. But if Washington continues to thumb their nose at the American people, who knows what may come of that."

Thumbing my nose and waving buh-bye, boys!

Oh man...
I'm going to be watching this very VERY closely. If I see this going anywhere above rhetoric, I'm on the first flight out of here.

This Guy is Governor?
"Texas is a unique place. When we came into the union in 1845, one of the issues was that we would be able to leave if we decided to do that," Perry said.
=======================================

I don't think so - The Resolution annexing Texas doesn't mention any such right. Link below.

http://www.per-fidem.org/books...

Even Chuck Norris admits that over at Wingnut Daily:

"Though the annexation resolution never explicitly granted Texas the right to secede from the Union (as is often reported),"

http://www.worldnetdaily.com/i...

Be happy to sell you all off, though. Matbe get a nice bidding war going between Mexico, Cuba, France & China?

And besides...
there is that little matter of the post-Civil War Supreme Court decision which declared that no state ever had or has the right to secede on its own.

And now...

Lil' Gov. Ricky?  Take some advice.

Please start using the phrase 'war of northern aggression.'  It will make you look soooooooooo much less like a nutcase....

NOT!

Think your perfect hair will pave the way to higher office?  Ask Lil' (Former) Gov. Blago how well that worked.

I say hell ya...
Take your electoral college votes out of the system and maybe we will never have to worry again about getting a tool for President--not to mention a moron majority in any branch of Congress.

Then maybe we can get some shit done around here!

And before anyone slams me...
That was said in jest :)

[ Parent ]
I don't think you would have gotten slammed,
There are many that agree.  The only problem would be transportation East to West, I-10 and I-20.  But think of all the jobs that would be created building new roads to drive around Texas.

If I make sense? it was quite by accident.

[ Parent ]
Think of how much US-Mexico relations would improve
if the tomorrow the Minister Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary of the United States to the Republic of Mexico were to inform that nation that since Texas considers itself sovereign, the US absolves itelf of defense responsibilities and obligations to that soverignty.

Who would want to invade Texas?
It would be even more trouble than invading Iraq - and we've all seen what a doddle that has been.

Venezuela would send troops to assist Mexico
if they went in, as would Cuba...

If Venezuela went in, then Texas would see what radical socialism really looked like....

Who needs new roads?
Didn't you see Thelma & Louise?

But wait, there's more!

Playing the Reverse Game
Imagine if, during the Bush regime, a democratic governor of any state had made the same admittedly vague statement.

He would be vilified across the country in every medium as a traitor and there would be calls for his censure, stepping down, arrest, execution--you name it!

"In order to maintain an untenable position, you have to be actively ignorant."  The Colbert Report

yup, and not just "vilified across the country"
[ Parent ]
Damn Lies and Goodhair
Texas cannot secede; it can only divide into five states. Someone or other questioned this, and the Supreme Court slapped down the notion that we can secede in 1869.

Goodhair, incidentally, only won a plurality in the last election; I am in no way implying that therefore a certain percentage of Texans aren't idiots, but I do think it is worth noting that most of the state cannot stand him now. If the Democrats would come up with someone real to run against him next year instead of just throwing us to the wolves because we are a "red state," (or, if our state Dem Party would get off their collective asses) I suspect that things would improve.

Look who did some teabagging in Houston
According to the Houston Chronk's right-wing blonde blogger, Texas Sparkle ( http://blogs.chron.com/texassp... ), here is one of the stars of the Houston teabagging event:
Next: John O'Neill, Swift Boat Veterans

Honors graduate of US Naval Academy; veteran of more than 35 fire fights in the U Minh Forest on swift boats; recipient of many medals, including two Bronze Stars; graduate first in class from UT Law School; clerked for Justice William Rehnquist at U.S. Supreme Court; co-author of 2004 NY Times No. 1 Bestseller "Unfit for Command"; established a foundation with the proceeds of books to provide more than $4 million in aid to over 700 wounded veterans.

Yes, you remember O'Neill - the clown who debated John Kerry on the Dick Cavett Show back in the 70s, aged quite a bit less gracefully than Kerry, and then floated to the top of the negative campaign toilet along with the other Swift Boat liars back in 2004?  Of course you do.

>^..^<

Rick Perry, cowardly traitor
While our young men and women are still fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan, Rick Perry is giving aid and comfort to our enemies by sending the message that we are a nation divided, that the US might break up and fall, that they have only to keep killing us and holding us off long enough for Perry and other Taliban fellow travellers to destroy the United States. Al-Queda will certainly interpret events this way. Perry might as well be holding the weapons of the newly energised insurgency that we will see and pulling the triggers himself.

When it happens, I will be glad that the mortuary ramp at Dover is now open to reporters, for I sincerely hope that the comrades of the fallen pin "Killed by Rick Perry" or "Killed by Joe Scarborough" or "Killed by Rush" signs to the flags on the coffins.

Thank you ever so much for the predictable increase in dead soldiers, Mr Governor Perry of the Bilberburg Group who probably cut some kind of deal to tear us apart so that we are easy prey for a one world government.

Personally, I would favour sending the Army into the capital to restore order
since " combinations too powerful to be suppressed by the ordinary course of judicial proceedings or by the powers vested in the marshals by law" are inciting a situation where "laws of the United States have been for some time past and now are opposed and the execution thereof obstructed"

The quotes are from a United States President, an attorney in his own right, who dealt with the same issue, Abraham Lincoln.

Oh, the "Bilderberg " remark
is fodder for the right, they hate the group

[ Parent ]
Damn it!
I am so sick of these moronic yahoos making Texas look like the inbred hick capital of the country. I live in Houston. So I'm not too thrilled that this idiot is running things. I'm hoping Mr. Perry will escalate his rhetoric so they can throw his traitorous ass in prison.

From here, it looks like a nest of traitors
and that it is impossible for Texas to elect a government loyal to the Constitution of the United States.

Martial Law and disqualification of traitors worked during Reconstruction, and the rememdy of General Phillip Sheridan in removing Governor Throckmorton was successful in installing a Texas government willing to ratify the outlawing of slavery and giving citizenship and the vote to black american men, which Texans under the recalcitrant governor had refused to do.

I am sure that the JCS can find someone to carry out the part of General Sheridan (of Sheridan Square in Greenwich Village); the part of Governor Throckmorton already has Rick Perry cast in the role.

Perhaps a carpetbagger government from San Francisco will set things to right.

[ Parent ]
Just be patient.
Rumor has it that Perry belongs to the same little GOP clique as Larry Craig, Lindsay Graham and Mitch McConnell.  Given that he doesn't seem to be too bright, I'm guessing it's only a matter of time before he gets caught with his pants down.

Cynic, n.  A blackguard whose faulty vision sees things as they are, not as they ought to be.
-Bierce, The Devil's Dictionary

[ Parent ]
Oh, so that's why Perry
was trying to shove Sarah Palin away from the podium at that Governor's meeting right after the election. Dueling Divas!

[ Parent ]
We need to do an airlift first
and get the citizens of Austin out of there!

The Citizens of Austin
need to rise up and arrest Mr Perry for treason; his remarks,if carried on al-jazeera, will incite an upsurge in the insurrections in Afghanistan and Iraq. Our soldiers will pay the price for Perry's posturing. As the mother of a soldier deployed now, any of my son's men dead, even a single one, at the hands of insurgents who believe that the US will fall apart based upon Perry's words, is too many.

While they can not suceed
They can claim full sovereignty, and screw up things like Medicare, Medicaid, Federal student aid, unemployment, etc. for all it's citizens. Boy am I glad I move there next month to go to school :/

Pull out the border patrol
and the Army. Just as a starter.
See just how long it is til one of those yahoos following Perry causes a border incident resulting in the Mexican Army occupying at least half of the state.

[ Parent ]
Can I object to your plan
on the grounds that NM's borders with Texas are more than we can patrol for ourselves.

Though moving the border up to the county line north of El Paso wouldn't require more staffing, you'd want a lot of concrete for the checkpoint. Hey! Jobs program!

But wait, there's more!

[ Parent ]
Okay, let's try this again:
The Union elected a tall, thin Senator from IL.

However, the weekend passed without shots being fired at Ft. Sumter.

Can we stop the historical re-enactment now?

But wait, there's more!

Taxes? Bad. Fees and Rate Hikes? Fine n' Dandeeeeeee
From the Houston Chronk ( http://www.chron.com/disp/stor... ):
The Texas Legislature: in session 92 days as of Wednesday. The lawmakers' per diem pay: $2.1 million so far.

The number of bills to reach the governor's desk: One.

Meanwhile, major bills on windstorm insurance, transportation, reform of the state schools for the mentally challenged and modernizing the state's unemployment system are slogging through the halls of the state Capitol.

"I have never seen a slower pace. I have seen a few sessions in my day, but I have never seen one this slow," said state Rep. Al Edwards D-Houston, who is in his 15th legislative session.

The only bill to reach Gov. Rick Perry is one to allow CenterPoint Energy and Entergy to recover the cost of Hurricane Ike cleanup and repairs through a rate increase at the Public Utility Commission.

CenterPoint estimates it will be adding $2 to $2.50 a month to the average customer's bill, while Entergy is predicting an extra charge of about $5.25 a month.

So - Gov. Good Teabag Hair hates government taking money from people via taxes but has no problem with corporations taking money from people via rate hikes.

As one commenter noted:

Why should this surprise us. They spend all their time on things like the rediculous Voter ID bill.
Priorities, priorities!  People's budgets?  No.  Stealing future elections from the Dems?  Yes!

>^..^<

I think we only let Texas go
if they'll take Oklahoma, Indiana, and Colorado Springs with them.  It should be really fun watching them try to survive on their own without devolving into third world countries.

Sweeten the pot
Let's also toss in Mississippi; Alabama; Richardson County, Nebraska; and whatever precinct of Topeka, Kansas that contains the Westboro Whackjob Compound.

So my question...
...to Governor Perry is:

Why wasn't this enacted way back in 1998? Just think of all the pain we would have spared ourselves and the entire world if everyone living in Texas had ceased to be an American citizen in 1998!

And just think of the future pain we could spare the world if Texas left the U.S. now.

Governor, you need to stop being such a pansy with expressions like "who knows what may come of that." You need to be a genuine heterosexual MAN and strongly and decisively advocate for secession!

FREE TEXAS NOW!! FREE TEXAS NOW!!

Correct me if I'm wrong.
I might be wrong on this, but I believe that it's unConstitutional to secede from The Union.

"I would rather be exposed to the inconveniences attending too much liberty than to those attending too small a degree of it." -- Thomas Jefferson

Maybe it's being a native New Englander
But where I come from we call those words treason. And as seen before, we take that shit very, VERY seriously.

God save ornery old queens! - kevinchi
