Blend-o-licious endorsements...

The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

Jeb on flailing GOP: give up Reagan worship, the party has no strategy

by: Pam Spaulding

Mon May 04, 2009 at 07:00:00 AM EDT

Talk about mixed messages. Just yesterday I blogged about the drop of a new video promoting the GOP's latest effort to rebrand its tired-*ss self, The National Council for a New America, which relied heavily on the imagery of the Reagan "Morning in America" commercials, and even included shots of the Reagan (I included them in the graphic at right), and even Ike!

So with its mostly male, pale, old, retread band of GOP brothers of the NCNA on the road to solicit ideas from "the people," Jeb Bush actually undercuts the mission video by telling the party to move on. Even worse, (and from my POV, hilariously), admits that the Republican party has no strategy, and has no idea how to resurrect itself other than to copy the Dems.

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush said Saturday that it's time for the Republican Party to give up its "nostalgia" for the heyday of the Reagan era and look forward, even if it means stealing the winning strategy deployed by Democrats in the 2008 election.

"You can't beat something with nothing, and the other side has something. I don't like it, but they have it, and we have to be respectful and mindful of that," Mr. Bush sai

..."So our ideas need to be forward looking and relevant. I felt like there was a lot of nostalgia and the good old days in the [Republican] messaging. I mean, it's great, but it doesn't draw people toward your cause," Mr. Bush said.

"From the conservative side, it's time for us to listen first, to learn a little bit, to upgrade our message a little bit, to not be nostalgic about the past because, you know, things do ebb and flow."

Man, Jeb, it's pretty clear that if you stray from the current sorry messaging that your party leader Rush Limbaugh will erupt -- and you will have to apologize. Your peers don't know how to listen.

The problem that party faces is that they can't let go of their hero ghosts from the past. Who can blame them? People would be rolling on the floor if they included more contemporary presidents as models for the future of the GOP -- Nixon, Bush I or heaven help them, Bush II.

Aside from the former Dear Leader, most of the voters they are trying to reach see Nixon and Poppy as fossil figures from history books as well. I don't see how the GOP can extract themselves from its conundrum when it is addicted to lies and fear and smear as a "strategy."

JEB!™
oh man...i cant imagine that a BUSH™ will apologize (Babs wouldnt stand for it)...& i'm kinda disconcerted that JEB!™ would say something so honest.

Turn their backs on Reagan?
Forget their nostagia for the man who invented homelessness and put a smiley face on racism?

Sounds like a tall order.

What a day, what a day for an auto-da-fe

Wasn't it a couple months ago
that the Reagan documents were declassified? I doubt it's a coincidence.

I am the lizard queen!

It will take another ass whoppin or two
before they change direction. They have placed all their bets on President Obama failing Big Time in regards to the Economy and Jobs.  But given the vote in the Senate last week which killed a bill that was supposed to help people stay in their houses and avoid foreclosures, they might get their dream come true.

If I make sense? it was quite by accident.

Oh, that old thing.....the GOPosaur Party?
Sorry, dead and gone.

It's the Hammer of JUSTICE,
It's the Bell of FREEDOM,
It's the Song about LOVE between,
my Brothers and my Sisters
...All over this Land.

Our Hero, Ronald Reagan
Back in the 60's (right after Stonewall), the pseudononymous Angelo D'Archangelo, in his Homosexual Handbook published a list of famous gays.  Under the word, "California," he wrote: "Everyone EXCEPT Ronald Reagan."  One supposes this was in reaction to a story in an underground tabloid (I think it was the Berkeley Barb) to the effect that the author had accidentally walked in on Ronnie in the Governor's Mansion in Sacramento and witnessed an underling on his knees, giving Ronnie a b.j.

In any case, the Repubs' conferring of sainthood on Reagan is quite beyond me.  Gorbie didn't "tear down this [Berlin] wall!" because Reagen went to Berlin and insisted on it: the USSR was broke from the Wars in Afghanistan and elsewhere, their arms build-up, and other disastrous hits to its economy.  The Russians simply could no longer afford to micro-manage their satellites.

Reagan raised taxes, sent unemployment skyrocketing, initiated the deregulation of the multinationals that might be seen as the start of the downward fiscal spiral we find ourselves in today.

Worse, he was a liar and a crook.  He claimed he had no knowledge of Oliver North's blatant violation of federal law -- the "Iran-Contra" affair, which saw drug profits from Central American cartels run by the CIA redirected toward purchase of guns and ammo for our enemies, the Iranians.  (If you don't believe it, what do you think Tom Clancy was writing about in Clear and Present Danger?)

Only one of two possibilities must be true: Reagan really didn't know what North was doing in the White House basement, or he did know and lied during the deposition taken during North's trial.  In the former scenario, he comes off as a bungling idiot.  In the second, as sinister, law-breaking a president as W.  Why is it that, since Nixon, who said "I am not a crook," most Repub presidents have been exposed as being just that?

Against stupidity, even the angels fight in vain. --Schiller
