Blend-o-licious endorsements...

The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

Michael Steele apoplectic over Maine, breaks with Sens. Snowe and Collins

by: Pam Spaulding

Wed May 06, 2009 at 22:15:00 PM EDT

Michael Steele is mad at Maine and marriage equality. Ooooh, I'm scared. Now that he's been neutered by party masters, it's hard to take this statement as anything other than a humor piece for the evening. He's apparently decided the GOP tent is small again. No rights for the homos.  (The Plum Line):
After the RNC said he wouldn't be issuing a statement on Maine's decision to legalize gay marriage today, RNC Chairman Michael Steele is in fact condemning the decision, a position that puts him at odds with Maine's moderate Senators, Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins, both of whom said today the decision should be left to the states.

The RNC emails over this statement from Steele:

"Our party platform articulates our opposition to gay marriage and civil unions, positions shared by many Americans. I believe that marriage should be between one man and one woman and strongly disagree with Maine's decision to legalize gay marriage."

Earlier today, Collins said on MSNBC that the decision is best "decided at the state level." And Snowe's office put out a statement citing her support for the Defense of Marriage Act, which leaves it to individual states to "make their own determinations on this very personal issue."

Hope the LCR is listening to this as Steele tries to win the title of Mr. Weathervane Rush Bootlicker.

Reaaaaaly?
Snowe thinks DOMA allows states to "make their own determinations on this very personal issue"?

Did she ever read the bill?

It pretty clearly blocks any federal benefits for married same-sex couples if the states make that "determination on this very personal issue."

What do you expect?
HE'S A BIG OL' CLOSET QUEEN!

And speaking of the Beltway closet --
So, you know. There is that group collecting WEDDING pictures....

From any Married Equally couple, from any state, or any country, anytime... to be using later for story telling.

Since Michael doesn't have any other function and now can't handle any paperwork or $$ either.

Why not send him a copy of your picture too.  Just so's he'll get a little love mail.

It's the Hammer of JUSTICE,
It's the Bell of FREEDOM,
It's the Song about LOVE between,
my Brothers and my Sisters
...All over this Land.

To the Back of the Bus, Senators!

Tent
Gee... I thought the GOPers claimed their party had a "big tent"?

Looks more like the GOP is putting itself in a pup tent -- if you don't kowtow to Boss Limbaugh, you're no Republican!

Listen to "TransTalk" every Monday from 4-5pm ET on http://www.falconradio.org beginning January 11th!

I didn't know...
you could get an elephant in a pup tent.

My head is exploding with confusion...
Let me see if I have Republican contradictions opinions straight (no pun intended) in my head...

1.  Conservatism means less federal government.
2.  Conservatism means more power to the states according to a conservative view of the Constitution.
3.  Marriage is a state-regulated institution.
4.  Unless a state decides on it's own to pass gay marriage for that state.
5.  Conservatism now means more federal government by way of federal laws and constitutional amendments in order to protect the states from themselves.
6.  So conservatism means we like more government if we get to control your personal lives.

and let's not forget...

7.  Conservatism means believing in an originalist view of the Constitution, which grants the Judiciary status as an equal branch of government.
8.  Except when the Judiciary does something we don't like, which means they are being "activist" and must have their powers limited so they are not an equal branch of government, despite the fact that their decision is consistent with the jurisprudence of their respective states and a fair opportunity to be heard in court was given to all parties, including some amici who really had no business sticking their noses into the debate.

Does that pretty much sum it up?
