Blend-o-licious endorsements...

The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

Sen. Jeff Sessions now says an out gay SCOTUS nom 'would be a big concern'

by: Pam Spaulding

Fri May 08, 2009 at 14:00:00 PM EDT

That was a quick about-face. Senate Judiciary Committee ranking member Jeff Sessions (Wingnut-AL), raised some eyebrows the other day when he said this about considering an openly gay SCOTUS nom:
"I'm not inclined to think that's an automatic disqualification."
Well, in what seems to be a popular trend with Republicans who timidly challenge the fringe party line, Sessions flip-flopped. Did he receive a call from el Rushbo? Video from Faux News, courtesy of Think Progress:

Q: On the question of a gay nominee, one person is noted as saying that he believes it is a bridge too far to have a gay nominee.

SESSIONS: Well, I think that would be a big concern that the American people might feel - might feel uneasy about that. It is a matter for the president to decide.

What Sessions is REALLY opposed to
Is the fact that a Democratic President is going to nominate a SCOTUS Justice and not just a Democrat...a gasp black Democrat! He's back tracking on being okay with a gay Justice because somebody whispered in his ear that he may not look as bad blocking a gay justice as he would blocking one just because the nomination came from Obama. Totally untrue of course but some people still think LGBT bigotry is still PC in this country.

GOPsaurs
GOP=fringe=losers

First of all
there is no way in h.. Obama is going to pick an out gay SCOTUS nom.

bridge too far to have a gay nominee

A perfect examply of bigotry.  Regardless of ones character and qualifications lets not even consider a nom because their OMG gay.

I agree. The "progressive" Dems are suckling the corporate money teet just like the Repubs.

As for Sessions - I get dizzy every time one of these A-holes speak. You know that in about 20 seconds they are going to do a 180, regardless!

BTW: I really don't understand this GUI. Why do I have to enter a "subject" when I am responding to a post? Weird.

If you have to ask
You're not ready to know. ;-)

I agree
Much as I like and support Obama, he is not a Progressive in many ways. On LGBT rights and on torture prosecutions, he and I disagree vehemently. Hopefully he'll wake up soon. He's far more likely to than say Bush was.

Yeah, cause a highly trained and experienced gay lawyer
...can't interpret the Constitution like his many, many colleagues. Pathetic. One day, this kind of comment is going to look like what it is: contemptible out-dated and incomprehensible cultural and moral gibberish.

Well
The Repug would never want a GLBT Justice because the Repugs believe they are the only ones who can stand injudgement of anyone.  God forbid a gay judge might actually, gulp, have to judge a heterosexual person.

Are you suggesting
he might have gotten... oh, a phone call, an email, a little NUDGE maybe, from RNC head Steele Rush?

That didn't take him long to show his true colors...
Oh no, there are gay people out there who qualify to be on the Supreme Court.  Who could imagine.  What a**es so many people still are. No just Sessions but all the people who voted away my rights; the people who will try to do so in Maine and Washington.  This really has to end.

Read the Robinson WaPo commentary if you haven't already.  A breath of reality based sanity.

"So don't blame me if I vote no!"
Technically, he didn't say that he now has a problem with it, he said that he thinks "the American people" might have a concern with it.

So now, of course, if he votes against confirming an openly gay supreme court nominee, he can say that he was just doing what "the American people" wanted him to do.

How disingenuous.  And how sad that he would so underestimate "the American people."

Actually, he didn't say it would be a "big" concern.
He just stammered that it would be a concern.

"I think that's, a um, uh, be a concern that the American people um, might feel, um, uh uneasy about that."
