The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

Sunshine State sadism: 43 children tased during prison tour

by: Pam Spaulding

Sat May 16, 2009 at 19:21:39 PM EDT

What is this world coming to? Oh, and the prison officer offered up this reason for 43 kids getting blasted with the stun gun -- "it wasn't intended to be malicious, but educational." And this can also go under the tag "Parents Behaving Badly":
According to information released Saturday by the Florida Department of Corrections: During "Take Our Children to Work Day" events at three prison facilities, 43 children were hit with stun guns while others were exposed to tear gas.

"Three prison guards have been fired, two have resigned and 16 more employees - from corrections officers to a warden - will be disciplined due to the incidents that unfolded April 23, said DOC Secretary Walt McNeil," reported The Miami Herald. "An investigation is ongoing.

"None of the children in any of the incidents required medical attention or was notably harmed, McNeil said. He said the children, who ranged in age from 5 to 17, were all children of prison officials." "The jolt sent at least two of them sprawling to the floor, crying out in pain and clutching at agonizing burns on their arms. One child ended up in hospital," reported the Mail Online.

Let the punishment equal the crime
Each perp should have to be tased 43 times...lesson learned.

Morons!!!

More madness from FlorDUH.
Typical.

Any bets these were all
"family values" types who keep screaming about how we should "think of the children"?

The American people, taking one with another, are the most timorous, sniveling, poltroonish, ignominious mob of serfs and goose-steppers ever gathered under one flag in Christendom since the end of the Middle Ages.

certainly are conflicting reports
Mc Neil said:

1 in the hospital and kids with  " agonizing burns" OR none required medical attention.

I'd like to know who's telling the truth. I doubt it's McNeil. Further, I'd love to know who (other than famous christian discipline gurus the Pearls
http://www.newsobserver.com/ne... ) would think this was ok.

I'd like to know
what brain trust thought it would be OK to taser a 5 year old child. Any age is bad, but a 5 year old? If the parents were involved in any way, social services should be knocking down their front door.

Cause any fool knows, a dog needs a home; a shelter from pigs on the wing

Missing the most important part
(DOC Chief McNeil) said the children, who ranged in age from 5 to 17, were all children of prison officials.

In nearly every case, the guards had permission from parents or grandparents to administer the ''electronic immobilization devices,'' McNeil said.

"I can't imagine what these officers were thinking to administer this device to children, nor can I imagine why any parent would allow them to do so," McNeil said. ``This must not happen again."

Don't forget that a very large proportion of American parents believe in corporal punishment.  This was probably viewed as a little insurance against future misbehavior.  Spare the rod, spoil the child.

When we took
our daughter to work with us years ago, we just bored the hell out of her on business appointments (even loaned her an old briefcase, full of her coloring books and crayons) and gave her ice cream at the end of the day!

Wow, didn't know zapping her was an OPTION! Who knew?

Come on, look on the bright side...
So far this year, none of the devices have been used on the 100,000 prison inmates -- only the children of DOC workers.

Okay, kids, now we're going to see how electricity works:

Twenty-nine others were indirectly exposed when they held hands with a person who was shocked. By circling up, the electricity could flow from one child's hands to the next.

I used to work for FL DOC
Not at all surprising.  As part of the training to be a correctional officer, one requirement was that you be subject to tear gas/pepper spray.  I never kept my eyes so tightly shut in my whole life.  Department of Corrections views this and being tased as a rite of passage on the way to being "in the fold."  I wonder how those kids felt.  Those guys deserve to  lose their jobs (and I hope they do!)

*******

On a more personal note, my husband of 24+ years had a brain anyeurism Wednesday morning, as he sat and watched "The View" on TV.  I found him when I arrived from town, shortly after that.  He was immediately rushed to the hospital.  This being FloriDUH, I didn't have any say so regarding his care until his wonderful neice and sister intervened with the hospital to make sure I was involved in the decisions.  This happened immediately - Ron's family are truly wonderful people, as are own my family.  I am being consulted on every step of this process by his niece, who lives in Ohio, and my dear sister-in-law who lives in Chicago.  They are truly wonderful people.

Bottom line:  even though we, GLBT people are under fire on a lot of fronts, it is our supportive families and our spouse's families who make things work for us in ways you can't imagine until something like this comes up.

It can't work for everyone, but it worked for me and I love all my family (from both sides) dearly.

I will not post for some time, as I have a lot of stuff to work on right now.  Let you know soon.

Sorry
I'm so sorry to hear about your husband. I truly hope and pray that it turns out alright for you both. My sister inlaw had the same thing a few years back and came out of it good. It took a little time, but she is better now. I hope the same for your family.
It's very true what you say about the family's support. My own family has given me support that I never thought would come, and it has made my transition better for me. Although I can't say that for my inlaws. One of my wife's sisters lives with us (my wife and I, long story, and hopefully that will change in the near future) and since the day I moved back she had been against me in every way possible with insults and being just a plain b#%$@. I've given up talking to her now as there is no way for me too without wanted to scream. Some are cool with me being a transsexual and some aren't. I'm happy to talk to the ones who are on my side and it is refreshing to do so. Ok, I'm rambling, that's why I don't write for the Blend, lol. Anyways, my point being cherish the family's support you do have and keep them close. Best wishs to you Phil.

Oh dear gawd, Phil!
All our best thoughts and wishes to Ron, you and your families... take care, hon.

[ Parent ]
that's awful, Phil.
Our thoughts are with you. Thanks to your family for acknowledging and respecting your relationship. It breaks my heart and angers me all at once in situations like this. It's as if one is stripped of their humanity. You are no one in the eyes of the law to your partner at the time it matters most.

I fortunately have never had that experience either when I've been hospitalized or when it was Kate in there. In fact, our relationship was never even questioned, and that's here in NC. Florida's position is horribly cruel.

[ Parent ]
Best wishes to you and your family,
  Love and Huggs,
 HappyCat and Family.

If I make sense? it was quite by accident.

[ Parent ]
Don't tase me Dad!
So the only thing I can figure these people really do believe the taser and the tear gas is harmless. I guess corporal punishment is just Daddy's love in the shape of a belt.
What a mindset.
