The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

O'Reilly tries to weasel out from under his 'Tiller the Baby Killer' meme

by: Pam Spaulding

Mon Jun 01, 2009 at 21:45:00 PM EDT

Ooooh, here is a mondo massive FAIL for Bill O'Reilly. In my earlier post, "So how does O'Reilly feel about the assassination of George Tiller?", we examined the long record of public vilification of the assassinated Dr. Tiller by the Faux News windbag, which included the moniker "Tiller the Baby Killer" and comparisons to a Nazi. The inflammatory bleatings of O'Reilly obviously got his panties in a wad, so he does what he usually does -- try to spin that he never said anything about Tiller "operating a death mill" and that, woe is he -- this is all a left wing conspiracy to get him. (Brad Blog):
Where he had previously, and repeatedly, described Tiller as "Tiller the Baby Killer", compared him to a Nazi, described him repeatedly as "executing babies" and "operating a death mill", tonight O'Reilly characterized himself as the victim of a "left-wing" cabal of "Fox News haters" trying to "exploit" the tragedy to "shut guys like me down". He did not, however, use the same strident rhetoric that had characterized his "reportage" of Tiller in the past.

"What [Tiller] did was within the law," O'Reilly admitted, following his Talking Points commentary segment in which he identified critics in the media and blogosphere who had noted his years of demonization and dehumanization of Tiller, suggesting some complicity by the man who anchors the most-watched program on cable "news".

In response to a Huffington Post editorial which claimed O'Reilly would "back-peddle" on tonight's show following the murder, he told viewers "No back-paddling here. Everything we said here was true. I stand behind everything we reported here."

He then went on to back-peddle on everything he'd reported there.

"We based on our analysis on the facts," O'Reilly said in his own defense tonight. Though his previously "analysis" including the repeated allegation that Tiller was a mass-murderer was nowhere to be heard this evening. He did not use the term "murder" to describe what Tiller did, as he had so frequently in the past. He used carefully selected, non-libelous phrases such as "destroyed fetuses" instead.

Below the fold, watch again what Bill O'Reilly said and see if it looks like he's not inciting violence.

And here is KO on O'Reilly:

Thank you
Thank you Pam for staying on this story.  You are doing incredible blogging on this, and it is so important for the LGBT community to understand the interconnections with repro rights and health.  I have worked on both RR and LGBT issues and it's all the same people who go all crazy on us--they either want docs dead or want to kill the gay people.  Keep up the great work.

thank you and stay on this
Olbermann had it right, calling it terrorism. It isn't enough to try the perpetrator and call it a day. Winding zealots up like little Frankenstein dolls and turning them loose to do what they may does not mean that civil or criminal liability should end with that one person. KO's segment certainly had enough footage to show probable cause in any future wrongful death lawsuit.

Beyond that, domestic terrorism is a crime under the Patriot Act of 2001.

A case can be made for conspiracy
Since the Slepian murder, it has been clear that attention directed at a gyn performing D and E's could prove fatal. The on-line scoreboards of dead doctors spoke eloquently to that

I've written out the argument on my diary here at PHB.

I love Keith.
And I've been walking out of places that have Fox on their tvs for years, but only if I can't get them to change the channel first.  I agree with Keith that that's all we can do, but it will have an effect if enough of us do it.

O'Reilly is an accessory to murder.
Arrest him!

The looter rich much prefer working with Democrats like Obama and the Clintons - they're greedier, they fool more people and they're able to get away with a lot more than Republicans.

Just sooo Pissed
In 1986 Ozzy was sued for deaths blamed on his song "Suicide Solution". In 1990 Judas Priest was sued over deaths blamed on their song "Better By You, Better Than Me".

In the 90's Cannibal Corpse, Deicide, Sony, Metal Blade, Valley Distribution, and the Record Garden, were all sued for selling Death Metal to the Dairy Mart Killers in Eugene Oregon.  (I worked at the Record Garden at the time.)

The Cannibal Corpse song "Fucked With A Knife" is unquestionably vile. But by recording the music none of these bands intended anyone harm.

I do not think the same can be said about Bill O'Reilly and others who directly targeted George Tiller for elimination by the unintelligent crazy gun-nuts they shake up like a can of soda. What did they expect to happen?

Dick Cheney has been warning us about terrorist attacks in the US for weeks. Hey look, it happened.

The victims of this domestic terrorism really need to file a class action lawsuit. Tillers family, employees and practitioners at women's health clinics coast to coast, young women who may need to receive an abortion at sometime in the future, really need to sue Bill O'Reilly, other pundits who targeted George Tiller, Fox News, probably Clear Channel, Comcast, Dish, Direct TV, other cable outlets that carry Fox News, individual radio stations that carry the named other pundits, and others. And the number really should be in the billions.

This is moral and immoral. The moral thing, the thing that everyone knows is right inside, though some are afraid to say, is EQUALITY. Inequality is immoral.

One thing to remember,
Those lawsuits were pushed by the religious right.  If you recall, all that led to was warning labels being put on albums from the metal bands.  Many music stores had to place those albums in a special section of their stores.  Needless to say, the albums with the warning labels ended up selling more and the price tag went up as well.

IMHO, I believe Bully and Faux are hoping for a lawsuit and that would increase the number of their viewers.  That said, I actually believe it would harm the little credibility they have left in the long run.  As what they do truly incites violence against other human beings.

If I make sense? it was quite by accident.

Who needs credibility when you have fear?
Unfortunately, these folks will spin the criticism to "see? the left wants to criminalize free speech!" "thought crimes" "arrest your pastor". It plays right into the fear.

A Lawsuit of Billions would be more good than bad.
There is a slight chance the that Ozzy and Judas Priest albums in question got the Parental Advisory labels, but buy and large they were placed on albums for language.

On a side note, this is about the time they debuted the V-Chip in TV's. I was against the idea at the time, thinking that they should broadcast shows censored and you would have to pay to get a TV that would unscramble the censored bits. This way poor people who use the TV as a babysitter would get the most benefit. But now I use the technology to block the 700 Club, Judge shows, Wife Swap and American Idol that way if the TV is on, but I am unable to break away to change the channel, I don't have to listen to the crap.

Back on topic: Right Wing Pundits will absolutely use a lawsuit to spin thought crimes fear, but at the end of the day, Fox News, Clear Channel, Comcast, Dish, Direct TV and others are businesses, and if it costs them Billions of Dollars, they will clamp down on their pundits inciting violence against Women's health workers, gays, immigrants, elected democrats and such.

This is moral and immoral. The moral thing, the thing that everyone knows is right inside, though some are afraid to say, is EQUALITY. Inequality is immoral.

Losing elections because of this crap will do the same.
Many places in the south the KKK is alive and well, but you don't see very many candidates pandering for their vote.  It is just a given that they will vote for the republican.  Censorship will cost people elections, those who wish to silence dissent will lose, that is why the christofacist continue to claim they are trying to be silenced, they hope it wins them support.

The truth is no one is trying to silence them. In fact, most of us want them to become as vulgar as The Phelps Klan of the WBC church in Topeka Kansas. The constant lying or 'bearing false witness' is taking its toll on the religious right.  We all know NOM has been lying about Ocean Grove in New Jersey, The Catholic adoption agency in Massachusetts and the Fertility Suit in California.  You don't see or hear the religious right falsely claiming 'Acts of Violence' anymore after the prop H8 protests on November 15, 2008 anymore.

For more proof, look how Darth (Cheney) has changed his tune in recent days.  Newt back tracking on calling Sotomayor a racist.  The back tracking over Dr. Tiller from the right wingnuts.

This is why I am against lawsuits in the Dr. Tiller Assassination.  They have no way to spin it if there are no lawsuits.  The religious right will be seen as the domestic terrorists they are.  And they will lose at the ballot box.

If I make sense? it was quite by accident.

Its not about Silence, it is about Responsibility
A few months back I went to the local college radio station to take photos and video of a friend of mine perform live music on another friend's radio show. I had to sign a release that I would not only not say Carlin's 7 words, but also a whole host of incitement words on the air.

During this last election Right Wing Pundits up to and including the the Republican Presidential Ticket were insinuating that Obama was a terrorist. I am sure you have seen the footage at how rabid those people got.

I am fairly certain that had it been a black hetero couple who walked into a bar in Government Camp Oregon, back in 2004, the patrons of that bar would not have felt the need to protect marriage. But since Preachers, Pundits and Elected Republicans up to the President were saying Marriage needs to be protected from Gays, dumb people turned to violence.

Illegal Immigrants get killed too.I remember some footage of a Mexican family along the side of a Freeway somewhere in the last bunch of years.

It is not about elections. Rush is not Elected. Bill-O is not elected. So getting most Senate Democrats to be reasonable about Sotomayor is good, but getting all of them to quit inciting violence is VITAL.

This is moral and immoral. The moral thing, the thing that everyone knows is right inside, though some are afraid to say, is EQUALITY. Inequality is immoral.

Typical hypocracy
When Hillary talked about a "vast right-wing conspiracy" to bring down her husband, the MSM scoffed and derided her.

But here's the bleating, chickenhawk coward I call "Bully O'Raunchy" once again avoiding personal responsibility -- which has been the mantra of the reicht since Reagan! -- and blaming others.

Bully's ratings have been slipping, and I hope they slip some more.

And we must never forget
that this kind of terrorism is aimed as us as LGBT people, too.  The ruling in Lawrence v. Texas specifically cited language in Roe v. Wade as part of its basis for striking down sodomy laws.  So in a very real sense, LGBT rights are related to reproductive rights (though the clowns at Gay Patriot and elsewhere try to deny it).  An act like the Tiller assassination is directed at us as well as the pro-choice movement.  (I'm happy to note that the two coincide much more often than not.)

Nor will this be the last act of violence committed by a right-wing lunatic.  Their rhetoric has grown ever more violent and unhinged, and they hate us every bit as much as they hate pro-choice advocates.  Sooner or later--I'd guess sooner--one or more of them will target us.  I can just hear the language they'll use on their websites, praising the "heroes" who opened fire on families at a Pride celebration.

I am not interested in picking up crumbs of compassion thrown from the table of someone who considers himself my master. I want the full menu of rights.  -Archbishop Desmond Tutu
