Blend-o-licious endorsements...

The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

Holy smoke! SLDN to protest outside LGBT DNC Dinner

by: Pam Spaulding

Mon Jun 22, 2009 at 15:53:17 PM EDT

Not content with just skipping the gala, Servicemembers Legal Defense Network has raised the bar skyward:
Statement by SLDN Executive Director Aubrey Sarvis on DNC Event

SLDN will be outside boycotting the Democratic National Committee (DNC) LGBT event in Washington this Thursday. SLDN will be calling upon the President to end his silence on "Don't Ask, Don't Tell." We will be wearing and handing out buttons with the number 265, representing the number of service members who will have been discharged this week since President Obama was sworn in. We do not, nor would we want to, dictate how members of our board or our Military Advisory Council make their political views known. However, I understand that two board members are attending the DNC event. I also understand they will be making their own spirited and creative statements once inside the room.

The trap O built for himself is tightening....
As I wrote in a diary earlier today, it's been THIRTY-FOUR YEARS since the first servicemember challenged the ban....Leonard Matlovich who died 21 years ago today. The great Dan Choi wasn't even born yet when the fight started and he's about to be discharged because of Pentagon bigotry. [DADT is just old wine...essentially the same policy as before...in new bottles with a catchy label.]

It is waaaay past time the Commander-in-Chief remembered his own better angels and froze discharges now with an executive order, memorandum, whatever . . . and that he became a "drum major for justice," leading the way for Congress to fully repeal.

When that day happens, I hope the President will place a wreath on Leonard's grave in appreciation of all he, Dan Choi, Victor Fehrenbach, Margaret Witt, and untold numbers of other gay vets have done.

Fantastic
We need to keep the pressure up because it is obviously working.

For anyone who can't make it to the protest this Thursday, come discuss what impact you can make in your hometown.

Wish I was in DC...

...to join my peer military vets in protesting there.

My heart very much will be with the SLDN protesting group.

That was a theme of Twin City's LGBT Pride back in the late 70's early 80's...it had a great button with camoflage.
In that storage locker I was emptying, I came across my collection of buttons.

two of their members
are going to attend at a MINIMUM of $1,000 each to fork over to the organization that is screwing their membership.

That's how it's done in the big leagues
They go inside, order a drink, and start explaining how many of the guys & gals outside yelling would rather have a reason to fork over $1000 for a weak cocktail.

Keep it dignified, accessible and focused on the policy, and you just blew DADT out of the water.

Beautiful.

Almost like it was being planned by some people who know how to strategize and fight the psychological battle...wait, do they teach that at West Point? Why yes.

But wait, there's more!

May not be paying
As I understand it, a lot of the organization leadership is invitied to schmooz with the actual donors, so they don't pay themselves. I have no first-hand knowledge, but would guess that is the case for these board members.

Of course, if they enter, grab a couple of drinks, eat the high-priced food and then stage a walk-out when Biden enters the room, all the better.

[ Parent ]
That is my understanding, too
The gay folks who are being put on display were invited are guests, not attendees. They are the zoo exhibits side show attraction for pulling in the deep-pocket donors, who will have a chance to throw peanuts gawk speak with them and offer condescending bullshit words of encouragement before writing big, fat checks to the Democratic Party.

Me? Angry? Whatever do you mean?

Plus ça change, plus c'est la même merde.

[ Parent ]
I wouldn't be surprised if their members
were comped, I agree. The DNC needs some poster boys and girls, cause Mitchell Gold ain't gonna cut it. Brave soldiers do (even if the admin is standing by doing nothing while soldiers are being persecuted).

[ Parent ]
not necessarily
did you read this diary by glad's mary bonauto explaining why she wasn't going to attend?  she had been an invited special guest, not a paying guest.  please check your facts before smearing.

Lt. Choi would be great!
I have a feeling he will be there.  He was at the Beverly Hills hotel protest and I'm sure he'll be in DC again.  I mean the time is NOW! and definitely the PR is necessary to show America how disgusting it is that in this DEMOCRACY there is still a segment of society that don't have equal rights.

What year is it?

And are you sure we have a Democrat in the White House?

Dear Joe Solomonese:
This is how gay leadership with balls is done.  Please take note.

Dear Joe, disregard that last
because you are not our leader any more.

I tell you Chica that no greater abomination exists than women denying their spirit of sisterhood and instead becoming the oppressor. -Rebeca, Universidad Complutense de Madrid

LOL
I'd like to dedicate this next song to the current Administration and the DNC: "...Cause if you like it you should have put a ring on it. Oh oh oh oh oh oh.."

Always thinking about it...

Here's another protest to keep the pressure on!
Knights Out sponsors SLDN's March on the White House Saturday June 27th
If you can't march with Knights Out in San Francisco, please march with SLDN in Washington DC on Saturday June 27th.

Led by the fighting Cook v. Gates plaintiffs (service members discharged under DADT), SLDN and other community organizations, including Knights Out, will be marching to the White House on Saturday, June 27 to call upon President Obama to break his silence on "Don't Ask, Don't Tell." The first 265 marchers will be veterans and service members. This is the number of service members discharged since January 20 when the President took office. In addition, family and friends of service members will be attending to implore the president to lead the way with lawmakers to get repeal done in this Congress and to end discrimination in the military. One doesn't need to be a veteran or on active duty to show up and support our LGBT troops, one only needs to be committed to equality for all.

Together, we have a real opportunity to deliver a powerful message to the White House, Congress, and to the American people, and to let our service members know they have not been forgotten. Sign up at www.sldn.org/265 and represent!

If you don't have one yet, it's not too late to order a Knights Out t-shirt from SpiritCPT@knightsout.org or http://www.knightsout.org/store

Assembly is at Farragut Square at 2:00pm. The group will march to the White House from there.

Come, come, my conservative friend, wipe the dew off your spectacles, and see that the world is moving."
-Elizabeth Cady Stanton
