Blend-o-licious endorsements...

The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

Our One Year Wedding Anniversary: A Journey of Recognition

by: waymonhudson

Sat Jun 27, 2009 at 01:02:13 AM EDT

One year ago, we made a trek from Florida to California to celebrate our 6 year anniversary (this year makes it 7).  While visiting San Francisco on June 27, Anthony and I were lucky enough to become one of the 18,000 couples legally wed before Prop 8 stripped the right away.

kist.JPGWhile we may be "limited edition married gays" now, nothing can take away the amazing day when we not only celebrated our love, but also had an entire city celebrate it with us.

The recognition of our relationship seemed to follow America's own learning curve- from a "commitment ceremony" with family to our civil union in Vermont, to finally being legally married.

Much more (including pictures) after the jump...
waymonhudson :: Our One Year Wedding Anniversary: A Journey of Recognition
Our families often joke that we have more weddings than Newt Gringrich- they just happen to be to the same person...

It's also interesting to see how people on the outside react to the evolution of our relationship recognition.  While it's only been 7 years, looking back seems like light years of difference in the way people refer to us.  Words like you "special friend" or "partner" have been replaced by "your husband."  The major newspapers here in South Florida even reported on our wedding and published pictures since Anthony was running for office at the time.

All of this and the sky hasn't fallen!  A year of marriage equality for us and no marriages were destroyed by our "insidious gay agenda bent on destroying traditional marriage."  So sorry, Senator Ensign and Governor Sanford, you can't pin your problems on us!

People may debate the importance of marriage equality in our movement, but I will say it has meant a lot to me personally.  Watching and being part of the changing view of gay relationships has been an illuminating journey.  We've always known what we mean to each other, but seeing other recognize it definitely has an impact.

So Happy Anniversary, my love! I am lucky to have someone who challenges me, supports me, and makes me a better person.  And I'm blessed that other people are beginning to recognize and celebrate that love as well.

Proud to share this date with you two.
My husband Jonathan and I are celebrating the day today as well.  It is our one year wedding anniversary and our 10.5 anniversary of being a committed couple.

I like  that we can share this day with such wonderful folks as you.

Congratulations and may you have many more, and may they eventually be recognized by the state you reside in and the country as a whole.

If you want to see my wedding photos (we got married at the AIDS Memorial Grove in Golden Gate Park-both of us have AIDS and both wanted to celebrate with our friends who are memorialized there) and reception photos, here is a link.

I know I drive some folks here crazy, I can tell, but now you'll know me if you see me on the streets.  I'm Robert K Wright, pleased to make your acquaintance.

:)
So sweet... congratulations!

Happy Anniversary!
My husband and I are also limited edition married CA gays.  Yes, we are a special group all right, not that any of us wanted to be in such a group.  I keep thinking maybe the 18K of us should try to meet up somewhere to celebrate and to demand the equality for the rest of the G & L community who wishes to get married.  I mean 36K limited edition gay folks gathered in one place is sure to turn some heads and maybe influence someone in a positive way.

Thoughts?

Cheers,

vanhattan

PS: great photos of your wedding!

Love conquers all
Don't let anyone tell you that ENDA, DADT, HATE CRIMES ect., are more important than DOMA.  Congratulations.

Same-Sex Marriage is good for the economy.

please accept congratulations
Please accept the congratulations and well-wishes from me, a stranger.  Thanks for sharing your story and your photos.

Okay, so now the Stonewall anniversary
is only the third most import event today.  1) Your anniversary, 2) my birthday and 3) Stonewall.  We and a few thousand friends really must get together next year for cake.

Congratualtions!

The American people, taking one with another, are the most timorous, sniveling, poltroonish, ignominious mob of serfs and goose-steppers ever gathered under one flag in Christendom since the end of the Middle Ages.

congrats :)
