The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

The Latest Christianist 'Rationale': Marriage is Like Puberty

by: KatRose

Sun Jun 28, 2009 at 22:08:02 PM EDT

From First Things:

Contrary to what we hear incessantly, marriage is not a right; it is an estate, a condition. There are conditions of life that have nothing to do with rights. One doesn’t have a right to go through puberty. One either does or doesn’t.

I almost think this should be a partially open thread: one for offering up one's own punch line.  Me first...

So, are ya sayin' that if I want to get out of my marriage, instead of calling a lawyer I should buy a tube of Clearasil?

Thank you.  Thank you, very much!  I'll be here all week - and please tip the waitresses....

SCOTUS disagrees

http://www.dyssonance.com  Breaking all the rules...

Specifically
From the ruling on Loving v. Virginia, emphasis added:

The freedom to marry has long been recognized as one of the vital personal rights essential to the orderly pursuit of happiness by free men. Marriage is one of the "basic civil rights of man," fundamental to our very existence and survival.

Yes...
but these people would argue "activist judges" did that, and how wrong that is, blah, blah, blah...

Hate stops a beating heart.

So all those porn actors I see
with no pubic hair must not be married then, right?

The American people, taking one with another, are the most timorous, sniveling, poltroonish, ignominious mob of serfs and goose-steppers ever gathered under one flag in Christendom since the end of the Middle Ages.
-H.L. Mencken

I am glad I clicked on the original link after reading
and before posting.  And sorry about the long comment....
Part of what I have been looking at (some how it ties into our oppression) is that the radical right, the moral majority, the christian coalition grew out of the white separatist movement. First they spawned the anti-abortion movement out of it, and now the Anti-Gay industry has grown out of all of those.  They are most afraid of losing their majority status as privileged and white but they are very afraid of change of any kind. Oh, my point? So, after reading the original article, what do I see but the first comment:

kurt9 says:

"The white and asian birthrate in the U.S. correlates with Affordable Family Formation (from Steve Sailor). In the "red" states where land and housing is reasonably cheap and the standard of living is good have white birthrates of 2.1 or better. The "blue" states where housing is fiendishly expensive and "hood" and PC influences abound in the schools have white birthrates significantly lower than 2.1. These are the places where the yuppy couple has their one designer baby at age 39 that they send to private school. As the "red" states become more "blue" over time, the white birthrate will drop accordingly.

Asians deal with the problems of the "hood" and PC by self-segregating into their own neighborhoods where they can send their kids to their own schools. Examples of this include the Peninsula (west side) of the Bay Area and the I-10 corridor to San Gabriel valley in SoCal. Another factor is that the Chinese want their kids to learn their home language (Mandarin or Cantonese) in addition to English and, of course, our public schools do not offer this. Thus, they create their own private schools for this purpose.

The other people lack the future time orientation to think about things like housing and schools in deciding to have kids. They just have kids without thinking about it."

I am not an alarmist, well, maybe just a little, but I don't like that these groups have ties in common. I don't like that they are separate now but all know how to organize better than the majority of people who see no reason to, including us.  I just watched an old video made back when the moral majority and christian coalition were a force, what struck me is how many people went through their training on how to recruit and fight are still around passing it on.

Here is the link to the video if anyone is interested: Life and Liberty for All Who Believe http://www.theocracywatch.org/audio-video.htm

Motley Fools
"just watched an old video made back when the moral majority and christian coalition were a force"

Unfortunately for them, Motley Crue hasn't made that many records since the mid 1980's, so it was kinda difficult for them to ride on their tailcoats and find more "hidden Satanic messages" without any new tunes from The Crue.

When I think of that era, I think of "christians" sitting around playing rock records backwards.  You know, being scientific & stuff.

typo
"Coat-tails", rather.

Hand that "Tailcoats" to Tony Perkins, and he can probably find a hidden Satanic message there, too! LOL

[ Parent ]
OMFG!
I forgot ALL about that. They started "emphasizing" backward "masking" (I think that was the "proper" phrase they gave it) when I was in junior high school which was a.......wait for it.......wait for it.........yes, an "XTIAN" private school. Apparently Led Zeppelin's "Highway To Heaven" was chalk full of "Natas Taetg" (you know "Great Satan" when played backwards.) Lucky for me, I got myself kicked out of that school in 9th grade and went into public school. I remember telling my parents that either I was going to public school or I wasn't going at all. I won! LOL

I wrote about backmasking recently
http://blog.albumartexchange.c...

Some writer for MTV didn't know the difference between subliminal and hidden messages.

There's also stuff about a Jesus message on a U2 album cover.

OKAY PHBlend!
You're falling behind. The big "gay" news of the day is the RAID on a Fort Worth bar that took place early this morning, the 40th Anniversary of Stonewall, and there hasn't been anything on the main page. What's up?

IT'S A CHOICE!!!
"One doesn't have a right to go through puberty. One either does or doesn't."

Which is why Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity, Joe Scarborough, Rush Limbaugh and others from that camp have chosen NOT to go through puberty.

IT'S A CHOICE!!!!! LOL

Don't worry darlin'
You'll either go though puberty or you won't. Anyways you make one purdy virgin Christian bride!

When you look for the bad in mankind, expecting to find it, you surely will.

Marriage is not a right
The choice to marry is, however. I wonder how they would feel if we could vote on their ability to go through puberty?

Always thinking about it...

Some Intersexed people
Don't go through puberty. Not without assistance.

Young TS teens have to have their puberty put on hold until they're of the age of consent - for hormones.

And just a few Intersexed people have two puberties, both incomplete.

Somehow I think the author of this article didn't have any cases like this in mind.

There is no situation so complex it can't get even worse

I saw a TV show
It was about a man who didn't go through puberty -- and he became a doctor and still didn't know what was wrong!

It was very sad. He didn't have a sex drive and didn't mature completely. Then, he saw a specialist for something else and was told that he had a problem.

He started taking male hormones and his body changed dramatically. He ejaculated for the first time -- in his late 20s.

He became interested in the opposite sex and got married.

I wonder what he'd think about the statement that puberty isn't a right.

When you look for the bad in mankind, expecting to find it, you surely will.

- Abraham Lincoln.

Puberty is a phase. It's temporary. Like wingnut monogamy.

An essential resource
It's all explained quite thoroughly in Tony Perkins' new book, What's Happening To My Body?  A Guide For People Undergoing Marriage.  It's an essential guide explaining all the bodily changes, strange new urges, and emotional instability that are a natural part of the "marriage" experience.

There is a subtext to this referring to puberty
In more unenlightened times, back when psycologists were calling gays/lesbians mentally ill, they would reference same sex bonding before puberty, and that gays/lesbians were emotionally stunted in that phase of their lives. They would reference opposite sex attraction as the NORMAL grown up attraction. So while this is a STUPID ad campaign it ties into what STUPID bigots believe and still spew.
