Blend-o-licious endorsements...

The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

Breaking: Larry Stickney Paid Himself $6,500 for One Month's Work

by: Lurleen

Mon Jul 06, 2009 at 21:40:27 PM EDT

Please continue to support the R-71 effort if at all possible. Our expenses are significant...PLEASE contribute to this effort with a donation as soon as possible.

Sincerely,

Larry Stickney, Manager
Protect Marriage Washington
[6/13/9009]

ka-CHING!!!  According to the Washington Public Disclosure Commission, Larry Stickney's misnamed Protect Marriage Washington, the organization behind Washington's anti-family Referendum 71, has a $206 deficit.  But no worries, because Larry made sure to pay himself $6,500 in June salaries.  Larry Stickney's grossly opulent salary accounts for almost 36% of the donations received by Protect Marriage Washington.  I thought he and Gary Randall were on the outs, but it looks like Larry is Gary's protege after all.  Milk 'em for all they're worth, Larry!

To see what Larry did to earn all that loot (missing deadlines, insulting the press, wasting time filing legal challenges only to withdraw them prematurely, etc.), click here or here.  No wonder few referendum endorses contributed scarce cash to PMW - perhaps they knew it'd end up in the greedy pockets of the inept Larry Stickney.

Honestly
Honestly, as nice as it has been to receive updates on an effort that obviously is doomed to fail, I can't help but wonder if such updates by this point wouldn't be better suited to some area that can investigate this for fraud.

I mean, what more is there to really say on this? You've dug up some great stuff that I'm sure would be great to have certain public officials look into.

Just thought I'd throw this out there, just saying.

all i can do
is present the information.  others can decide what to do with it.  as far as paying himself a princely salary, he has done nothing illegal as far as i know.  however, he has shown the referendum campaign for what it is - a craven, self-serving instrument for the people running it.  i have no doubt that he'll add this failure to the list of "accomplishments" on his resume.

i have to ask myself - would a campaign manager who believe that this referendum was going to the ballot drain the accounts into his own pockets 3 weeks before the signature gathering deadline?  looks to me like he's making sure he gets his, and let the referendum chips fall where they may.

PMW is no HRC
$6,500 a month?  Joe Solmonese pulls down more than that in a week.

Just sayin'...

You beat me to it

>^..^<

[ Parent ]
does he really?
and does it amount to 36% of donations?  Got evidence?

Evidence
$338,400 in 2008 according to the Blade (second only to Craig Shniderman, executive director of Food & Friends, who pulled down $382,200):

http://www.washblade.com/thela...

338,400 / 52 = $6,508/wk.

Of course, HRC's 2008 revenue of $41.4M makes Joe's cut almost insignficant compared to your boy Larry.  But my point stands.

[ Parent ]
Just thought I'd mention
One's compensation package, which is what you are referencing for Solomonese, is not equivalent to one's salary, which is what Lurleen is referencing.

[ Parent ]
True of course
The point still is though that any compensation paid out of an organization to pad Joe's or Larry's nests means that much less left over to fight for (or against) civil rights.

While I agree wholeheartedly with Lurleen's original post and all of the comments, it seemed only fair to point out that Our Man Joe is pulling down over 4x as much -- while attending A-list, star-studded galas as a perq.  And truly, how much more effective is Joe than Larry?  Two overpaid empty suits staring each other down across a line in the sand.

[ Parent ]
Yeah
$6,500/mo ain't a lot of money.

Besser ein ende mit Schrecken als ein Schrecken ohne ende

[ Parent ]
Larry does need the money...he has expenses
The court battles from his particularly nasty divorce with his second wife ended only a couple of years ago.  The case remained active for over ten years after the divorce decree because of continuing quarrels over visitation and child support.  According to documents filed by Larry in 2006, he had $30,000 in credit card debt.  And that's just before the court ordered him to help pay for his daughter's college education.  He's probably still working on the credit card debt since he's providing for family number 3.  Snohomish county public records and Zillow.com would suggest he has little or no equity left in his house.  He needs the money, so he milks the R-71 gig for all he can.

Oh, the irony
It bleeds.

Submitted for your approval is one Larry Stickney who has created a straw organization for the sole purpose of passing hate legislation aimed at LGBT's, only to then siphon off the donations to pay for the sins he has committed screwing over his "traditional" family.

You just can't make this shit up.

[ Parent ]
traditional "families" - in the plural
For awhile (approx 2000-2006) Larry was supporting two families.  He argued his obligation to his third family as a basis for limiting his support obligation to his second family.  Of course, having to pay support to the second family detracts from his ability to support his third.  Both families were screwed.

[ Parent ]
Larry Vs. Rygel XVI
Is it just me or does Larry bear an uncanny resemblance to Rygel XIV from Farscape?  For those unfamiliar with the sadly departed show, Rygel was a deposed bitter monarch in search of subjects to rule over.  Oh, and he was a Muppet.

Coincidence?

Puppet: Muppet:

Beer money
Clearly this aged good-'ol-boy has a lot of beer to purchase with panicky Christian donation dollars, to maintain his figure. Maybe he should invest in a haircut with some of that money instead of asking his wives to get the salad bowl out of the cupboard.
