Blend-o-licious endorsements...

The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

Young Republican election proves the GOP will continue to be the party of Palin

by: ol cranky

Sun Jul 12, 2009 at 09:58:22 AM EDT

Over at The Daily Beast, John Avlon has a couple of stories about the Young Republican's Chair, Audra Shay, and how she managed to be elected to the position.  Per Avlon, conservative Shay's 470 - 415 win over "center-right"  Rachel Hoff was spurred on by her laugh out loud endorsements of racism and, possibly, a homophobic whisper campaign insinuating that her opponent's wardrobe and ghastly support of civil unions:

Unfortunately, it doesn't end there with Hoff: As one of only a very few Young Republicans nationwide in favor of Civil Unions, Rachel Hoff attempted to convince the YRNF in 2007 to adopt a stance IN FAVOR OF CIVIL UNIONS. Although Rachel was not wearing a dress like her female counterparts, but her typical suit, her attempt was met with ridicule and frustration. It was overwhelmingly shot down and left the idea in many delegates minds of: Why would Rachel Hoff support Civil Unions?

One would think that Shay could have relaxed after using Hoff's misdemeanor conviction for committing voter fraud that stems back to a 2004 South Dakota Senate race against her but, I guess, she was concerned that the delegates might not have a problem with voter fraud when a Republican is committing the act.  It seems as thought the vote itslef was as contentious as the campaign with people being ejected, fist fights and a public voting process that some say was used to intimidate delegates to vote for Shay
“I believe that people were intimidated,” said North Carolina delegate John Ross.  “Without a secret ballot, many people did not have the opportunity to vote their conscience.”

It's quite a statement that these young Republicans seem to have the same fear of voting their conscience here that those in countries run by despots have. . .

Don't need to add to it....
Just repeat it:

I guess I shouldn't be surprised
considering their base is referring to Malia Obama as a "street whore" and worse.  I don't suppose Mrs Palin will launch an offensive on the Free Republic

Does this mean
Does this mean the Republicans are abandoning religious conservatives in favor of racists?

Don't forget that Ronald Reagan, the matinée idol and Republican idol, kicked off his campaign as the Republican nominee for president by making a speech supporting states' rights in Philadelphia, Mississippi.

Probably not. I'll bet it's a ploy to win the support of the RAHOWA and the other white supremacist religions.

In What world is
In what world is someone who's 38 a youth or young. She's got a 20 year work record by now. Shouldn't a "young" whatever org at least be under say..25? By then someone could have served two tours of duty in Afganistan. Hell -  Many people are grandmothers at that age in Louisiana.

Audray - you're an adult.

"Audra Shay, 38, has won the post of chairman of the Young Republicans"

It's relative.
Look at the main republicans.

Fetch my pearls, I need to clutch them!

"Young"
It must refer to her emotional maturity level rather than her chronological age.

Tax the Christian Taliban!

Age limit for Young Democrats
The age limit for Young Democrats is 36. Their president is a CFO, so that doesn't seem like much of a difference.

I don't understand these YR
Young Republicans often seem off their rocker.  Often racist, sexist, homophobic, and have very strange ideas.  Ryan Sorba, for example, is a young Republican who constantly says bizarre things and has weird actions.  Like the rapping group Young Conservatives, these people seem to think they are entitled because of race, status, etc.  They are selfish and cannot see others' viewpoints or even try to understand them.

Easy!
That's because they've listened to their Lord Rush sitting on their daddy's knee, listening to his words as if it's gospel.

The local branch of the College Republicans have been for years classless and shot themselves in the foot metaphorically so many times, it's a wonder they're even viable as a group.

wretched woman, that Shayster
I've just finished off the LBJ-Goldwater section in the midst of reading Allan J. Lichtman's WHITE PROTESTANT NATION: THE RISE OF THE AMERICAN CONSERVATIVE MOVEMENT.   One lesson is that they can't be counted out.  The inanity is persistent.  Where else will the old Dixiecrats go?

if you've ever been to a party caucus
you know that intimidation isn't the sole domain of republicans.  i was happy that my precinct seemed quite tame during the presidential democratic primaries, but that hasn't always been the case, sadly.  political parties are private organizations, and so whether ballots are secret or not is completely up to the management.

Secret Ballots
" "I believe that people were intimidated," said North Carolina delegate John Ross.  "Without a secret ballot, many people did not have the opportunity to vote their conscience."

How odd! This is exactly the "moral outrage" that Republicans claim is their reason for being against Card Check votes in getting a workplace Unionized. I guess secret ballot isn't so important after all...

Futue tenants of C Street...and members of The Family...

Since that group by self-definition is made up of supreme beings who will run the world and not be bothered by laws or anything..

Course I don't think they have allowed a woman in, to live in the house yet.

Of course not!
In their little minds, there are only two positions for women: on their backs and on their knees.

They're only allowing women to be in unnatural positions of power until they rule, then it's back to the 1800s.

And here I was worried
I was worried that the Republicans might see the error of their ways and follow the lead of someone like Megan McCain, moderating themselves on social issues to win back the youth vote and appealing once again to the "vast middle."  Which in turn, might have made the GOP viable on a national level again.

Why was I even worried?

It's the Palin/Glen Beck route - by appealing to a certain segment, they can
win.

Besides their racist, misogynistic, homophobic ideas - what else do they even have right now?

Everything else they claim they stood for has been totally discredited during the last 8 years.
