Blend-o-licious endorsements...

The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

AAPC Video: Frank Schubert and Jeff Flint Discussing Prop 8 Tactics and Techniques

by: Chino Blanco

Fri Sep 11, 2009 at 09:01:18 AM EDT

Karen Ocamb has recently posted a (very) worthy primer on the Prop 8 campaign here (pls feel free to follow the link and rec her diary!).

What follows is intended to serve as supplementary material for those who might be interested in viewing a sequential presentation of the various YouTube clips that Karen references in her post.

March 28, 2009.  Washington, DC.  2009 Pollie Awards and Conference.

American Association of Political Consultants (AAPC) Proposition 8 Case Study.

90 minutes of Frank Schubert and Jeff Flint:

Chino Blanco :: AAPC Video: Frank Schubert and Jeff Flint Discussing Prop 8 Tactics and Techniques

30 minutes of Frank Schubert from a year earlier.

June 23, 2008.  Sacramento, CA.  American Association of Political Consultants (AAPC) Initiatives & Referendums Panel.

"Technology & Techniques 2008 Ask the Experts Seminar"

A lot of footage to digest.  One frame that caught my attention in the first clip:

Question: How do you get voters to ...

* Say 'no' to universal health coverage
* Turn down taxing tobacco companies
* Continue clear cutting forests
* Let insurance companies use credit ratings to set insurance rates
* Overturn legalized gay marriage in one of America's most liberal states

Quite the revealing PowerPoint slide, Frank.

Brilliant stuff!!
And Schubert is right as long as the other side always defines the debate then all they have to do from there is not screw up so badly that they lose.

Always thinking about it...

A long while back
I pointed this out in a diary, and its been an occasional topic of mine at my blog in the past.

In the dKos article, its noted that:

But largely because it was a new thing, those consequences were something that could happen in the future."

Now, I've had it made apparent to me that a lot of folks think I'm just another angry tranny.

Well, before I was an angry tranny I did a lot of this kind of work -- the kind being discussed, and provided the basis for some of these efforts.

You cannot overcome fear fear with facts -- and that is, purposefully, what they are speaking to.

People know perfectly well that marriage is about love and all the other typical memes.

What they don't know is what "will happen" -- and telling them "nothing" isn't going to do it.

So, to fight this kind of attack, you have to go into the root of their arguments - to undercut their basis and then you have to hammer it home like it was the end of the world as we know it.

Indeed, that may be the meme to carry forward --

...because the world as we have known it has left us with trillions in debt, rampant joblessness, intractable politicians screaming at the President, and millions without healthcare.

And the same people who left us with that, want to tell you how bad gay marriage is going to be?

You gonna believe them, when they are the same one's that got ya where you are today, or people who have, well, a pretty damn good idea of how to make it better?

just saying
