The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

Maine: anti-gay activist Mike Heath throws in the towel

by: Pam Spaulding

Tue Sep 22, 2009 at 13:00:00 PM EDT

So it's speculation time -- was Maine's Peter LaBarbera, Mike Heath, just too embarrassing for the anti-marriage equality peeps working up there? His reason for leaving, according to this release from the Maine Family Policy Council, is that he's going to be a private consultant. What kind of services can he provide?
Mike Heath, the longtime leader of the Christian Civic League of Maine, announced today that he is moving on.  Expressing appreciation for the League, Heath said that it has been a great honor to serve.

...His first test came on the issue of casino gambling.  When the dust settled he was credited by his adversaries with having stopped a casino from being built in Calais.  Heath went on from there to tackle the most difficult and contentious social issue of our time, gay rights.  In 1998 he was on the leadership team of the first successful People's Veto of gay rights.  In 2001 he joined once again with Paul Madore and Paul Volle to lead a successful statewide campaign against homosexuality.  Since the early 1990s Heath and the League have expressed serious concerns with the prospect of so-called same sex marriage.  Everyone laughed back then.  Maine will vote on the issue this November.

No stranger to controversy, Heath is often described as a "lightning rod."

The board accepted Heath's resignation yesterday during a meeting at the League headquarters building in Augusta.  They expressed unanimous and strong support for the forty-eight year old leader.  Heath pledged his full support to the League.

Heath's last over-the-top opinion piece, on Sept 12., was yet another sad tirade about marriage equality and deviance.
But in the final analysis, reason and logic are of little use to gay marriage backers. They are desperate to keep the focus on alleged discrimination, while the broader social and ethical implications go ignored.

What, for example, is the cost to society of normalizing various forms of aberrant sexual behavior? Why should a relationship based on harmful sexual practices be accorded the sanctity of marriage?

Is it not true that gay marriage has already opened the door to polygamy? Are all aspects of the homosexual subculture as reputable and wholesome as an episode of "Father Knows Best?" Or are there aspects of the homosexual subculture which are so deviant that they cannot be mentioned here? If so, why put such relationships on a par with marriage?

Let us not portray as wholesome and progressive what every bit of evidence proves is immoral and harmful. Above all, let us not portray as a victory for society what may well turn out to be the Masada of the Culture Wars.

No.
"Is it not true that gay marriage has already opened the door to polygamy?"

You religious people had busted THAT door off the hinges WAY before the discussion of gay marriage ever happened. The same with getting married to children/teenagers.  Not to mention, having a mule as your first girlfriend.

Well, you see, Joseph Smith was gay
Which apparently explains the whole polygamy thing.

Plus ça change, plus c'est la même merde.

The 50'S!
'Are all aspects of the homosexual subculture as reputable and wholesome as an episode of "Father Knows Best?" '

Why is it that all these "conservative" types always harken back to television shows of the 1950's? Oh, right, that was the country's GOLDEN AGE!!!

50's Sucked
Why would anyone want anything to do with the 50's, anyway?

The movies sucked.

The TV shows sucked.

And even worse was the music: grown men who sounds like they just been castrated, singing about teenage girls in their annoying high-pitched voices.

Or stupid songs about surfing.

Surfing would be early 60's

kinda sorta
Actually, some of these cons seem to think that "Father Knows Best" and "Leave It To Beaver" were about real people.

Nice one, Heath
A day without spurious logic is like a day without kittens or rainbows.

RIP logic
reason and logic are of little use to gay marriage backers

This in a piece that is a laundry list of assertions that are each, at best, highly questionable and that contains little or no explicit reasoning to link these assertions to its conclusion.

Mr. Heath should be tried, convicted, and flogged with wet linguini for his abuse of logic.

No, use a real single-tail lash, a mere flogging is far to gentle.
Sound reasoning is so far beyond Mr. Heath that he became, and is still very likely, dangerous. He is still associated with a radical fringe that has nothing better to do than vilify, libel, and slander a group of people he really knows next to nothing about. Real punishment is entirely insufficient to atone even for a tiny fraction of the harm he has done to gay people over his activist career.

Not a good sign for their side
to be changing leadership in the middle of the game

Maybe he got brain cancer and their prayers backfired on them

Speaking Of Which
Whatever happened to our girlfriend Steve Anderson?

His big mouth get him thrown in jail finally? LOL

[ Parent ]
Man...
that is a bad wig!

ah, the brave culture warrior...
using big buXXX to force the biblical commandments that he is posed next to in that heroic photo onto the entire population of this country.  how inspiring!  onward, christian soldiers!  theocracy is within your reach!

and exactly which one has he devoted his entire "professional" existence to?  the one about the homos?

The gays stole my lunch money

Per BDN
he's going to become a "private" consultant.

Does this mean he's found a way to get PAID to help SFMM/ Yes on 1?

Other possibility is that Maine got too small and a la Sarah HEATH Palin, he's quitting to make the leap to the national marketplace.

We'll see more of this guy. Watch and see; he'll come back like Voldemort!

Than where is our Harry Potter?
of course our Harry wouldn't be a young man trying to play a teen boy.

Maybe a clever, logical, female to male trans-gender activist?

nothing new at this time.....

Heath has quit before
but last time, he quit the Republican Party. He quit over a gubernatorial candidate named Woodcock.

wow...
"In 2001 he joined once again with Paul Madore and Paul Volle to lead a successful statewide campaign against homosexuality."

That kind of an achievement should have the think tanks beating down this door!

"Are all aspects of the heterosexual subculture as reputable and wholesome as an episode of "Father Knows Best?" Or are there aspects of the heterosexual subculture which are so deviant that they cannot be mentioned here?"

My mind hurts. I don't understand how someone can even type words like this without the pathway from their brain to their fingers triggering something giving them at least a bit of a hint of how utterly, transparently wrong they are. I just don't get it.
