Blend-o-licious endorsements...

The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

NC's Foxx: health care reform is a bigger threat than any terrorist

by: Pam Spaulding

Mon Nov 02, 2009 at 14:30:00 PM EST

Yes, the woman who represents the 5th District (Winston-Salem, Mt. Airy) in my state is completely batsh*t insane. You might recall that Foxx is the windbag who declared the hate crime killing of Matthew Shepard was a hoax. Now she's back comparing an attempt at fixing our broken health care system as worse than terrorists? I though homosexuality was a greater threat than terrorism (oh, wait, that's Sally Kern).

Everywhere I go in my district, people tell me they are frightened. ... I share that fear, and I believe they should be fearful. And I believe the greatest fear that we all should have to our freedom comes from this room - this very room - and what may happen later this week in terms of a tax increase bill masquerading as a health care bill. I believe we have more to fear from the potential of that bill passing than we do from any terrorist right now in any country.

If you want to send a message about real reform, today is the Alan Grayson money bomb.

UPDATE: The DNC's response:

Meet Virginia Foxx: The Extreme is Now Mainstream Inside the GOP

"If you haven't met Virginia Foxx, an extreme right wing Republican House Member from North Carolina you should because she, Glenn Beck, Sarah Plain and Michele Bachmann are the new and most powerful faces of the GOP," said DNC Communications Director Brad Woodhouse.

"Virginia Foxx's unbelievable assertion that Americans have more to fear from health care reform than from "any terrorist in any country" is just the natural extension of Sarah Palin's 'death panels' charge or other GOP luminaries who said reform would 'pull the plug on grandma.'  It is outrageous that anyone would compare the action of terrorists to efforts to help American families get secure, stable and affordable health insurance.  Sadly, these inexplicable comments represent what is now the mainstream of a Republican Party that has been hijacked by an extremist far right-wing faction that craves ideological purity, will purge dissent, and offer nothing but reactionary opposition to progress.  So long as Virginia Foxx, Michele Bachmann, Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin hold the keys to the GOP it will continue to be well outside the mainstream and a severely marginalized minority party well into the future."

I wonder if her brain stem rattles in her head if you shake her
I'd like to test that theory, and shake her, and shake her, and shake her.

"race, taste. and History finally overcome....and you ain't there"
by Tony Kushner

Don't Do That!
You might uncross her eyes that way!

I think you'll find...
her skull is too full of hate for her brainstem to rattle.

It's a perfect match for Right Wing Authoritarianism
One of its qualities is the belief in many "greatest threats" to society... doesn't matter what it is, it's just whichever bug has crawled up their butts at that particular moment.

Everything is a bigger threat than terrorism
I mean, just look at how much effort the Republickers put into preventing terrorism.

Plus ça change, plus c'est la même merde.

This is good for Democrats...
The more the crazies are shown up for what they are in the mainstream media, the more Democrats have a chance to hold on to their seats.

History, I believe, furnishes no example of a priest-ridden people maintaining a free civil government.-- Thomas Jefferson

It's not *all* grandmas...
BTW, isn't the proper counterargument something to the effect of asking why they want to continue to allow the insurance company execs to continue to not only pull the plug on grandmas but to keep pulling the plug on mom and babies too?  We do indeed have the best Congress money can buy.

My America includes LGBT families.

Incredible!
How do these senile relics get elected to these positions?! To think that her constituents put up with this crazy nonsense is mind-blowing.

I've said it before...
I'll say it again. If healthcare reform is such a threat, why is it that so many other Western countries spend on their socialised healthcare systems a fraction of what the US pays (in the case of the UK, less than half the amount per capita) and get better results?

Could someone check who her electoral sponsors are?

Quick
Give that woman a show on Fox news.  She has finally passed the screen test!

You mean she broke it?

Wow!
The update made me stop and stare.  The DNC actually bites back against one of these lunatics?  I didn't think that happened any more?

And that's a good response too, not just the usual 'agree to differ' soft soap.

Upcoming debate
Virginia Foxx v Sally Kern
Which are bigger threats than terrorism:
Health Care Reform
Homosexuals

I thought they had four guest bigots.
I thought it would be Foxx, Kern, Palin and Bachmann debating whether it was health care reform, homosexuals, abortion or teen pregnancy that was the greatest threat to America. I guess that means the greatest threat to America would be the possibility of teenage lesbian rape victims seeking abortions through a reformed healthcare system.

That sound you hear...
is Redd Foxx rising from the grave to get his surname back.

(I know, I know - Foxx wasn't his given name, but....)

that her constituents are just as whacked out as she is, she is them.

ok, i know i'm going to hell for this (among many, many other reasons!), but this is one grandma i'd kind of like to see them pull the plug on.

oh, and why is it ok to pull the plug on grandpa? bunch of sexists!
