Blend-o-licious endorsements...

The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

Register For ENDA In Jeopardy: Emergency Conference Call Tues

by: DrJillianTWeiss

Fri Nov 27, 2009 at 21:53:17 PM EST

I hope that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday.

A nation-wide community conference call has been scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 1st, at noon EST to discuss actions we can take to push a vote on ENDA now. It will last one hour.

All are welcome. Please register.

I will be on the call to discuss strategy.

It seems pretty clear to anyone with eyes to see that they're slow-walking this thing.  Every politico I've spoken to says that putting the House vote in February is going to make this way harder.

We must demand action. Please join us on the call.

This is the second phase of the democratic betrayal
Not only are they looking to slow walk ENDA but DADT and anything that might help bring down DOMA. The Administration has heard us and the DNC has as well. But the Democratic House and Senate leadership still believes they are insulated enough to continue in their sloe knife to the back betrayal of our community that most of them have done in the past decade to our community. These are the same dimbulbs who will continue to attempt to court the conservative aspects of the country until the lose the midterm elections next year as they have historically and consistantly done as a party leaving our agenda to struggle on for another election cycle or two because of their blatant disengenuosness. We need to fond a way to make the leadership of House and the Chamber feel our wrath.

Always thinking about it...

Who is organizing the call? Is this being promoted over the blogsophere?
I'll be at work but will try to find a way to participate.

Be better, not bitter!

The real work for politically aware LGBT people is educating our own
Most LGBT types I know in real life are unaware that this is happening.  Some have drunk deeply of the "We just have to wait," Kool-aid.  Others don't even realize that these things are proposed and that the leadership is putting everything on hold.

Let the conservaDems know that they won't have any power if we don't vote for the progressive Democrats.  Let the progressive Democrats know that they were sent to enact change and if they don't, then it doesn't matter one whit whether they're in Congress.  Let Ben Nelson and Mary Landrieu think long and hard about what it is like to be a Democrat in a Republican Senate again.

Let the other core constituencies to the Democratic Party know that they cannot count on our votes to give them power.  In the past 4 years assaults have been made on unions, women-who-have-kids, and minority rights.  We have two things to fight with:  our money and our votes.  If we withhold one, but not the other, there is no fear.

Otherwise, it's "What's the Matter with Kansas" LGBT-style.

We must have a LBGT UNITED voice
and we must be heard loud and clear. Your right MileHigh, "most LGBT types I know in real life are unaware that this is happening.  Some have drunk deeply of the "We just have to wait," Kool-aid.  Others don't even realize that these things are proposed and that the leadership is putting everything on hold."....and how sad is that?

The Dems are skittish for one reason only. Our opponents are making themselves heard LOUD and CLEAR and we are sitting back waiting for change or are completely unaware we had ENDA on the table for passage in the House before the New Year. Our opponents are winning.

Wake up folks! We must be a United voice. Make yourself heard. Calls, e-mails, postcards and letters DO matter. Don't kid yourself into non-action by thinking it won't matter anyway so why bother. In fact, contact the diehard anti-gay reps the most. Lets get them skittish too.

Remember.....no more Mr. Nice Gay!!!!

Come, come, my conservative friend, wipe the dew off your spectacles, and see that the world is moving."
