Blend-o-licious endorsements...

The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

GOP to make Michelle Obama a target and my response

by: bkmn

Thu Jun 12, 2008 at 18:54:05 PM EDT

( - promoted by Pam Spaulding)

Not surprising...those good ol boys are working on mounting an attack on Michelle Obama as a way of attacking her husband.

http://www.politico.com/news/s...

"It's less than a week into the general election campaign, but already Michelle Obama is a   Republican target.

Former Secretary of State Lawrence Eagleburger leveled the first blow, introducing Republican John McCain's wife at a fundraiser this week as someone who is "proud of her country, not just once, but always." Obama wasn't mentioned by name, but the audience got it.

The dig signaled the start of what Democrats expect will be a concerted effort to cast Michelle Obama as an unpatriotic radical - and, by extension, Barack Obama as well. It also pointed out the urgency to define Michelle Obama to general election voters before the opposition goes too far in doing it for her, strategists said."

I'm not surprised that they would do this, but if I were them I might think twice before going ahead with it.

Here is my plan going forward:

1)  I will only refer to Cindy McCain as Sen. McCain's second wife...the one with a history of stealing drugs from the American Voluntary Medical Team, oh and that was after she was working for the Keating Five as an accountant who couldn't keep track of receipts.

2)  At the same time I will bring up Carol McCain, referring to her as Sen. McCain's first wife, the former swimsuit model and the one who was crippled and debilitated following a car accident.  When he returned from Vietnam, he proceeded to go skirt chasing...at which time he met Wife #2, which he married 1 month after divorcing Wife #1.

The right takes marriage and fidelity very highly...they just need some education about John Sydney McCain.

P.S. Please feel free to spread the word...

I agree
The backstory of McCain's wives is something the Republicans really don't want to go near. Let's see: disabled wife and adopted kids on one hand- younger woman with tons of money and political connections on the other...oh yeah, John McCain showed himself to be a man of Republican family values!

That Michelle Obama, who seems a genuinely nice woman and very dedicated to her family- and now their children- are open for atrocious attacks by either media or others shows a level of sickness in this country lower than many suspected.

And goodness knows, we already knew there were some lowlifes in the world before this.

Michelle
I already like her better than the Prozac Nation of Republican First Lady Fembots who all seem to have had brain removals or lobotomies.  Laura Bush seems totally fried all the time.

Michelle very much reminds me of my other favorite First Lady, Hillary Clinton.  She is brilliant and very out spoken.

No picking china patterns or wall paper for her.  Policy issues seem far more likely and being some one who will further  social issues.

Hmm--the wives
Ms McCain: Always proud of the country where any woman can become the storm centre of a major financial scandal

MsMcCain: She stands on her own two feet. The wife that she replaced couldn't.

John McCain believes that marriage i sacred between a man and a woman, unless she gets crippled.

Here's what we do...
Let's start an Internet rumor that Obama is actually married to Michelle MALKIN.

Then, we can all chuckle when our Republican friends and family members whisper that Obama's wife is a -- shhhhh -- Filipina! Horrors!

It sounds ridiculous. But, I bet we could get this into conversations on 9-hole golf courses and senior centers all across the country in a matter of days.

It won't do Obama any good. It sure would be fun, though.

When you look for the bad in mankind, expecting to find it, you surely will.

Don't quite understand your premise
Isn't Michelle Malkin rather beloved by politicians.  Anybody that goes so far against their race would in most people's eyes not be seen as that race.  Liberals because they are horrified.  Conservatives because they are proud to welcome almost anyone stupid enough to bash themselves at the expense of their brethren as one of their own.

I'm just waiting for the gay-Michelle Malkin.  Not counting the ex-gays because they refuse to label themselves as gay, whereas Michelle wears her race rather proudly.  Some bitter old crone fed up with the "gay lifestyle" that hasn't renounced their sexuality.  That day is gonna be a riot on Fox News.

Argh!
Not politicians but Republicans in that 1st sentence there.  This damn site forces ya to proofread and I still never do it.

Isn't Michelle Malkin rather beloved by Republicans?
Or so she'd like to think! I don't believe that many Fox News viewers see beyond Malkin's race.

My thought was...
...that if Faux was going to call Michelle Obama Barack's "baby mama", I should be able to call Cindy McCain a homewrecking junkie.

Why does John McCain support big pharmaceutical companies?
Because the more drugs out there, the easier it is for his partner in banking scandals and adultery

That's one reference point
Another one could be "sugar momma"

She apparently has provided financial assistance from behind the scenes for his various political campaigns.

Technically
Cindy McCain is the woman John is committing adultery with, since Jesus said:
Matthew 19:9
I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, and marries another woman commits adultery."

And the way Johnboy treated Carol ain't to sweet either:

Matthew 5:32
"But I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, causes her to become an adulteress, and anyone who marries the divorced woman commits adultery."

McCain is, according to literalist, fundamentalist Christianity, an adulterer who is living in an adulterous relationship who has made his first wife an adulterer too.  Clearly, he lacks the moral fiber to be president.

The fundalmentalist will...

happily be silent on this point. They always clam up when it applies to them, the hypocrits. Like Hagee endorsing McCain, not a word about adultery. Endorsed him like he's a holy man.

I'd rather be a lion for one day, than a sheep for my entire life.

I may not be a fan for Obama
But the Republicans are making a stupid move to go after Michelle Obama when McCain's 2nd wife has more issues than her.

Shared
with info@barackobama.com, Move On.org and Howard Dean.  adding McCain as adulterer...I think it would be better just to call him that Adulterer Zombie McSame.

Don't forget IOKIYAR - Attacking Cindy won't work
It's OK If You Are Republican.

I don't think the 2nd-wife / pill-popper / drug-stealer / beer heiress / trophy wife / called her a "cunt" in public / abandoned crippled 1st wife meme is going to go anywhere with the NASCAR Pabst Blue Ribbon crowd.

Not that it's not correct and abominable.  But righties have an amazing tolerance to hypocrisy and they will give McCain a pass on all of those issues?

Why?  Cuz he's a gen-u-wine hero, doncha see?  Heroes deserve to have hot rich trophy wives, doncha know?

That's ancient history, they'll cry!  And while she may be an heiress trophy wife, she "knows her place" (unlike, say, Teresa Heinz Kerry) and loves America (by not saying anything like "I'm finally proud of my country", or, for that matter, saying much of anything).

Oh, and Cindy's white.  And doesn't express her education and professional career to threaten any weak males with GEDs and #3 stickers on their trucks.  Unlike someone they'd consider to be an "uppity" "Afro-Leninist" radical anti-American Ivy League lawyer-type.

(Seriously... "Afro-Leninist"  This is Michael Savage's term for the Obamas.)

Finally, attacks on Cindy McCain are going to seem petty, as Cindy didn't actually do anything, in their view.  McCain might have been cowardly to ditch the first wife for Cindy, but Cindy didn't do that, John did.

And pill-popping, drug-stealing?  Sorry, the "scary drug addict" meme only works when you're talking about cocaine, heroin, steroids, or marijuana.  Proof?  Compare the treatment of Brett Favre's opioid painkiller addiction and Ricky Williams' medical marijuana use.  Cindy gets the pass on this one because her first hit came from a doctor, not a dealer.

"If people let government decide which foods they eat and medicines they take, their bodies will soon be in as sorry a state as are the souls of those who live under tyranny." -- Thomas Jefferson

Oh, and Favre
happens to be white and Ricky Williams happens to be black. But I am sure that has nothing to do with anything, right?
Yeah, that's what I thought, too.

Heroes do not cooperate with the enemy
even under torture.
We court martial soldiers and particularly sailors for far less.

McCain cooperated.
My son explained to me when he began a rather interesting period in his career that I will never know all about that you die rather than give in, or take your own life rather than give up any information that may cost the lives of other servicemen.

McCain's father was an admiral and he got a pass on his treason.

I know that it soulds severe, but there is an expectation that you will give your life to protect others when you put on the uniform. There are in fact sections of the Uniform Code governing such things.

McCain broke the code, and any info that he gave up contributed to the deaths of other servicemen.

He may get a pass from the gung ho pro war GOP nuts who never served and have children in the Ivy League rather than the armed forces, but he does not get a pass from this Lesbian mom of a serving soldier.

Well, everybody here seems to have one thing in common -
When in doubt, attack a woman.  What a depressing thread.

I would prefer attacking McCain
but the dems need to sneak an unreleased attack ad on Cindy to the GOP to warn them of consequences if they do not call off the attacks upon Ms Obama.

McCain is no war hero, he was involved in banking scandals, he has unsavory political allies.

We ought to focus on that, leveraging the GOP to call off the wife attacks.

Not a Terribly Bright Idea, this...
When you start throwing shit at people who are throwing shit, all you get is everyone covered in shit.  Obama understands this, and it's been one of the pillars of his campaign.  When you rise to the bait of dirty tactics and turn them on your opponent, you're no better than they.  Obama resisted this from Hillary and it worked, he's come away with much more of the grace, dignity and integrity that the Clintons could nver understand.

In any case, this tactic is handing him the White House on a plate.  If the Republican message is so morally and intellectually impoverished that they have to resort to wife-bashing, then they have nothing to say.  Both McCain and Obama have plenty to say and they should be listened to.  But if you think this justifies shit-slinging Cindy McCain, that doesn't make you right, that just makes you a shit-slinger, and so no better than they.

Sick Of African-American women being trashed.
As an African-American transwoman, I'm beyond sick and tired of African-American women being bashed, regardless of their educational level and conservative white males feeling as though they have a God-given right to do it.

Give 'em a taste of their own bitter medicine.

Where is the band of feminists who railed during the primary campaign about 'Hillary being attacked?'  Why are you silent now that Michelle Obama is under attack?

[ Parent ]
not silent
I voted for Hillary, and I knew very well back then that everyone saying that it wasn't that a woman couldn't win, it was that Hillary was too hated, Michelle Obama would be shoved into that role too. (I voted after Super Tuesday and it looked to me like Obama was going to win the nomination, though for a while in there they were neck-and-neck again.) The biggest reason is sexism: she's not going to be a First Lady in the Laura Bush model. She won't sit around with her lobotomized smile and do nothing more controversial than read to first graders. Add in a big dollop of racism, which is sure the hell not over in this country despite all claims to the contrary about how it is now that we have an African-American nominee from the Democratic Party, and Michelle is going to get it worse than Hillary did. The only front she probably won't get hit on is trumped-up charges over her husband misleading the country because of his sex life. At least I hope not. I hope seeing Congress waste their time on that once in my lifetime is plenty.

Feminists are on this. Look at www.michelleobamawatch.com for coverage of all of the defamation of her character. I can't swear which of the feminist blogs I read have been covering the media's treatment of her, but I know I've read plenty, which means some combination of Shakesville, Feministing, Feministe, and Pandagon have been.

Not silent here, Monica.
I want the DNC to prepare an attack ad on Cindy and John, and leak it to the GOP with a warning of what is coming unless they call off the attacks upon Ms. Obama.

I understood what Ms. Obama was saying when she made what has become a controversial remark. She had every right to say it.

LEAVE both Mrs. McSames ALONE
It will lose Democrats the moral high ground if anyone disrespects them. We know the Reich Wing will attack Michelle, who is well able to take care of herself, and Barack standing up to protect his family from attacks, will RAISE American's esteem in his favor.
DON'T stoop down to Michelle Malkin....PLEASE!

United we stand
I think all of the women surrogates for Obama and HILLARY need to go on a WOMEN fight the smears on Michelle and ALL women campaign.
Can you see it?  Hillary, Oprah, Maria Shriver, Kathleen Kennedy, Gloria Steinem...etc on the stage denouncing sexism, misogny, and denouncing the smears on Michelle!?
Sure it won't do much to shore up his support with the male misogynist voters.  BUT it will definitely gain many many women fans along with their husbands and others

Attack McCain, not the wife#2
Frankly, for public purposes I don't care what wife#2 has done or is doing in the sexual morality department. She's not the issue in this election. I wouldn't approve of her homewrecking in a social setting, but thank God I don't run in those circles.

The issue is John McCain, and his cruelty to wife #1. That won't sit well with conservative women, especially those in the upper income bracket, the ones most at risk of becoming ex-wife #1 when hubby goes for the trophy wife. Even the ones willing to admit that divorce happens and that sometimes it is hard to understand the whole story from outside will get that John married  wife #2 a month after divorcing wife #1, which obviously means that John had been cheating on wife #1.

Maura brings up a point that I hadn't thought of, not being military. John said more than name, rank, and serial number, the only things permissible (in theory - I can't see that asking for the loo would be considered cooperation with the enemy). Exactly what did he say? There was a video-tape or TV broadcast, is it archived anywhere accessible? If he did say something other than "I, name rank SN, am a prisoner of war of the VC", was it damaging? Was it on the level of court martial and dishonorable discharge, based on similar acts by other soldiers?

I am inclined to forgive lapses that don't cost lives, but I wouldn't expect the ex-prisoner to be highlighting that part of his life - I'd expect some humility and some shame about giving in. (I'd also hope for some self-forgiveness and wisdom to result eventually - remembering that none of us are absolutely sure what we would do in a similar situation).

I would highlight his flip-flop on torture - he's used his POW status in his career, and got some respect from me for opposing torture on the very sensible grounds that it only encourages it in the enemy. But the first opportunity he got after he declared his candidacy, he reversed his stance and voted with the rest of the Republicans.
