Blend-o-licious endorsements...

The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

Anchorage Daily News endorses Obama - McCain erratic, Palin not ready

by: Paul In SF

Sun Oct 26, 2008 at 02:55:02 AM EDT

The hits just keep on coming for the McCain/Palin campaign.  Today the largest paper in Alaska, The Anchorage Daily News endorsed Barack Obama.

The Daily News, which in the past has been generally supportive of the Governor seemed to agree with many in the lower 48.  It said: --after the break--

Paul In SF :: Anchorage Daily News endorses Obama - McCain erratic, Palin not ready

(F)ew who have worked closely with the governor would argue she is truly ready to assume command of the most important, powerful nation on earth. To step in and juggle the demands of an economic meltdown, two deadly wars and a deteriorating climate crisis would stretch the governor beyond her range. Like picking Sen. McCain for president, putting her one 72-year-old heartbeat from the leadership of the free world is just too risky at this time.

The paper saved it's harshest words, though, for Senator McCain:

Sadly, maverick John McCain didn't show up for the campaign. Instead we have candidate McCain, who embraces the extreme Republican orthodoxy he once resisted and cynically asks Americans to buy for another four years.

When it comes to who is most qualified to lead our country through the difficult days ahead, the Daily News seems quite smitten with That One.

Sen. Barack Obama, the Democratic nominee, brings far more promise to the office. In a time of grave economic crisis, he displays thoughtful analysis, enlists wise counsel and operates with a cool, steady hand. The same cannot be said of Sen. McCain...On the most important issue of the day, Sen. Obama is a clear choice...The unqualified endorsement of Sen. Obama by a seasoned, respected soldier and diplomat like Gen. Colin Powell, a Republican icon, should reassure all Americans that the Democratic candidate will pass muster as commander in chief.

Ouch!

Pretty bad when your hometown paper doesn't want to have anything to do with you.

Typical Railroader-Tired, Broke, Hungry, Sick, and Mad

Palin 2012
In noting the in-fighting in the McCain-Palin campaign (she's now a rogue diva according to the McCain folks) some have implied that Palin will be (re)created by a loss much like politicians like Clinton were when faced with a similar loss.  It is obvious she is gunning to be the face of the Republican party and for the Presidency one day but a lot of her ability to define herself will depend on what happens when she gets back to Alaska.  Her behavior has rankled enough of her supporters there and her typical political cronyism (with new questions arising on even things she is believed to have been successful at accomplishing) that her governorship may well be under siege if Obama wins.

The McCain-Palin campaign has created huge fractures within the Republican party.  These problems have all arisen from the Republican monolith force-feeding the base whatever pill they need to make sure they don't see the emperor's nudity that it's seems that vision for most is permanently and critically impaired.  It is quite possible that a successful  Obama-Biden administration coupled with Palin's return to the national arena in 2012 will finally cause a permanent split in the Republican party (even the neo-cons are realizing that playing Stalin has destroyed their party) and give us the ability for a real 3 (or even 4) party system.

I've said it before
some have implied that Palin will be (re)created by a loss
Palin-Bachmann in '12.

Palin will feign re-creation, find some FOX-friendly synonym for 'mavericky' and actually go farther right-wing than ever - as will the Repug party - and will add plastic surgery to her 'everywoman' $150,000 wardrobe by surgically attaching a halo to herself.

She shall be the saviorette!

Memo to the moderate Republicans that remain: Get out while you still can.

What have you done today, to make ya feel PROUD?

we really wouldn't want them to secede
since it would only be a matter of time before we'd be enduring the same (if not worse) price gouging by the fundamentalist Christian Nation of Alaska as we get from the Middle East.

I subscribed to ADN's e-mail updates...
...back when CelticDiva was fomenting her rally for gay rights in AK.  There was NO update on this... mostly what I get are updates on the Stevens trial and Troopergate.

Nevertheless... this is SCATHING!

speaking of Newspapers
I wrote this to the Baton Rouge Newspaper the Advoocate about the INTIMIDATION I felt when I voted early last week

"I voted early at the ******* Courthous last Wednesday and I didn't like TWO ARMED burley police and highway dept guards sitting themselves three feet from the dorrway to a small office with three voting machines. This is ONLY done to intimidate voters, it's a vile dirty trick I've NEVER seen in previous elections in LA.
I would suggest film crews go to early voting sites and see if this is MORE wide spread than ******. There is NO REASON an unarmed voting monitor couldn't direct the people in line when one or two spaces in the office opened up"

I deleted the reference to the small town in this post to protect myself in this rural area outside of Baton Rouge.

I posted a similar message on Obama's Campaign state site of Louisiana. I couldn't find an email address for LA Democratic Party, only snail mail addresses.

What have you done today, to make ya feel PROUD?
