Blend-o-licious endorsements...

The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

Clinton confirmed. Guess who voted against her?

by: Pam Spaulding

Wed Jan 21, 2009 at 17:00:00 PM EST

Hillary Clinton was confirmed as Secretary of State today. Two senators voted against her. Who were they?

FMA supporter Diaper David "DC Madam" Vitter and 0% HRC-rated Jim "Fetus Americans" Demint.

I nominate both Vitter and Demint (the Demented)...
...as out new US Ambassadors for Afghanistan and Iraq, respectfully.

Anyone else second the motion????

Tender Vitter and NeedAMint
no big surprise...one needs his diaper changed and the other his brain.

i read a comment on another blog
forgot which, on reaction of vitter voting against Hillary, one commentator said it was the first time vitter had turned down a woman for offering her services.

I can't wait for my chance to vote agaist David Diaper Vitter
he is one of the WORST human beings EVER.

What have you done today, to make ya feel PROUD?

She's been sworn in
updated CNN story here, as of 5 minutes ago...

"It goes on one at a time, it starts when you care to act, it starts when you do it again after they said no, it starts when you say We and know who you mean, and each day you mean one more."

When does she resign her Senate seat?
(i.e. when does Paterson appoint a replacement)

[ Parent ]
If she's sworn in
her seat is now vacant.  It is against the constitution to be a senator and in the executive branch simultaneously.

I understand Vitter's vote
It makes perfect sense...as a champion of women's rights, Secretary Clinton is opposed to prostitution...further, prostitution is in the Bible...

I tell you Chica that no greater abomination exists than women denying their spirit of sisterhood and instead becoming the oppressor. -Rebeca, Universidad Complutense de Madrid

Clinton fails to get every vote
Is that what has upset people? How hideous and cowardly and partisan to take that away from Mrs Clinton. That Vitter and Demint should dare to express dissenting views...

Or is it the President this is an offense to? When Obama picks his cabinet, forget procedure, just wave them all in.

wow, negative
I think the reason for this article was not about people not doing what Obama wants.

Its just commenting on the how funny it is to see who exactly voted against her. (i.e. if the story had been "12 senators voted against Clinton's nomination" the story would not be posted. Or the focus would have been on why people voted against her.)

It was a story more about the two senators, than about Hillary. But judging from your tone maybe you don't care either way.

P.S. I am not an Obama zombie, like far too many people are. I have high hopes for him and hope that he does a good job. But if he does something wrong I will work to fight it, not just say, "oh, I didn't like what he just did, but Obama knows best."

I think it's still about Hillary
The news is that two senators voted against her confirmation, and that those two are already effectively discredited for being nominally on the right of the senate. Or specifically, because one opposes same-sex marriage and the other opposes abortion. So I think it's about Hillary, it's presented as evidence of her 'awesomeness'.

My point (which, from what you said, might have been concealed by my tone) was that there is a process for cabinet members being confirmed, and that should be followed in every case. Any member of the senate who doesn't believe the appointee is right for the position can and should cast their vote against. For someone who believes in liberty, it's even more important to vote no when everyone else is voting yes.
