Blend-o-licious endorsements...

The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

NC Superdelegate Brad Miller endorses Obama

by: Pam Spaulding

Fri May 09, 2008 at 06:00:00 AM EDT

Just the other day (as in Wednesday), Congressman Brad Miller (D-13) sounded like he was going to stay on the fence for a while. I wonder what got him off the fence. From a press release that hit my inbox:
"I will cast my vote as a delegate in Denver for Senator Barack Obama. The decision was not easy. Senator Clinton has run an impressive campaign, and has spoken eloquently to the concerns of working and middle class American families. She is one of the great leaders of this generation.

"Senator Obama understands that he has the chance not just to win the election this year, but to be a great president. Americans know that Republican policies have failed because Republican ideas are wrong. Americans know that our government has not acted, to use Franklin Roosevelt's words, as trustees for the whole people, but have taken the side of powerful economic interests on every issue. Americans want a fundamental change in course.

"Senator Obama will seize that opportunity.

"If Senator Obama and Democratic candidates up and down the ticket win this year and then deliver next year, we can build a consensus that will last a generation."

surprised
i can't believe a couple of SD's have gone with clinton after her terrible performance the other night. I am also surprised more havent come out for Obama.  I guess it will just be a trickle effect.

Biding their time
According to the NYT (or maybe the WaPo), many super delegates are waiting until after May 20 when Obama will likely have won the majority of the delegates. They're determined not to embarrass or anger the Clintons.  What they have to fear is beyond me. It's not as if they're facing the wrath of Barbara Bush.

Probably not fear of Clinton
I suspect that they want to allow her a face saving exit for the sake of party unity.  Emotions have run high in the camps of supporters for both candidates, and the party can't afford to alienate either side.

Now that it's fairly evident that the nomination will go to Obama (barring a new nasty scandal or a meltdown) we can afford to let the process run it's course.  Obama has turned his attention to McCain, and as long as Clinton doesn't toss nasty smears at Obama we should be able to  use the time between May and the convention effectively.

Clintons
Along the way of this campaign, there have been people speaking off the record about avoiding the Clintons' anger, and that of their surrogates (like James "Sleeping with the Enemy" Carville).

I don't trust Clinton to not get nasty--even the NYT objects to what she said in that interview:

Best lines so far, from The Daily Show. How can Obama deal with not being so popular among hard-working whites who haven't finished college?  Get a whole lotta folks to finish college fast, or to stop working so hard.  :-)

...on CNN

Also Peter DeFazio of Oregon, where they are still voting in the primary by mail.

and Rep. Donald Payne of New Jersey, for Clinton originally.

his district
What got him off the fence was probably that his district went heavily for Obama in the Primary.  Glad to see him make this move.

After awhile
they're all gonna have to jump down off the fence, if for no other reason than to remove the splinters in their butts...
