Blend-o-licious endorsements...

The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

Work of 'ex-gay' therapist Richard Cohen vanishes from NARTH, PFOX sites

by: Pam Spaulding

[Welcome, Americablog readers. You will laugh until you cry when you watch The Daily Show clip of Cohen's belching, stretching and "therapy." The best clip is after the jump.]

Ex-Gay Watch has the scoop on the spectacular fall from ex-gay grace of fraudulent reparative therapist Richard Cohen, who has appeared on CNN's Paula Zahn Now demonstrating how he therapizes the homo out of men, and doing the same for The Daily Show, making a complete ass out of himself. Sad. Gay activist Wayne Besen also appears in the clip as well.

A sample of his "therapy" from a report on CNN, via Truth Wins Out. You can see the hilarious CNN segment here.

Cohen, who has been hailed in the past by the National Association for the Therapy of Homosexuals (NARTH) and Parents and Friends of Gays and Ex-Gays (PFOX) couldn't handle the ridicule any more so the organizations have cleansed their sites of Cohen's pieces.

David Roberts of Ex-Gay Watch:

It is uncertain exactly why they chose now to finally distance themselves entirely (at least publicly) from the the self-described "psychotherapist and educator." Cohen was permanently expelled from the American Counseling Association several years ago and currently operates without a license. Until last year he was the president of PFOX and just months ago they were still referring people to him. He is known for his bizarre media appearances and unorthodox methods, appearing most recently on The Daily Show in what may have been his most absurd performance to date (though there are so many). Perhaps this was the straw that broke the proverbial camel's back.
Ah, The Daily Show. Let's take a look at what finally sent PFOX, NARTH, Exodus's Alan Chambers and Exodus VP Randy Thomas over the edge...

Part 2 is after the flip.

WTF????
Was that actually Cohen subjecting himself to such ridicule????

Damn!  LOL!!

Ex-straight ministry proposed
I do believe the time has come to start an ex-straight ministry.  Participants would check their superstitions at the door upon joining this ministry.  The goals of the six-month program would be to teach empathy and compassion by immersing well-intentioned but blissfully ignorant straight folk in the gay "lifestyle."  They would be required to tell everyone they are close to that they are gay, immediately to renounce the legal benefits that accrue to them as a result of heterosexuality, to abstain from all heterosexual activity and to make a sincere effort to understand why they have not been more sympathetic to the indignities and fears gay people endure daily.  They would in turn be enveloped by the warmth and acceptance, humor and good counsel that gay people heap upon one another daily, and would learn through experience the wisdom of replacing sanctimonious, moralistic, naive judgment and fear with a thoughtful, humanitarian, equal-rights perspective.

Morgan Spurlock did that already
He did a Gay/Straight 30 days episode.  This religious right nut job had to stay in San Francisco for a month and live with a gay guy and go out with him and his friends.  He had to get a job in the Castro, and he learned quite a few things about himself and the gay community.

You can download it on iTunes

[ Parent ]
that bit was best of daily show
That bit is definitely the best of Daily Show.  I love that show as usual, but this clip is just the best of the best.  There is just nothing on the planet that can drive a point home like using someone's own words and actions to make a political point against their own insanity.  And I don't believe for one nanosecond that Cohen is "ex gay."

Noooo!
He's leaving!?  But I liked him; he's funny!

...
I feel bad for Richard Cohen, the man has spent his whole life trying to make his world normal for other people by their bias of homosexuality. Maybe he will one day realize that he doesn't have to try anymore. Making a living trying to cure biological phenomenons just isn't something one person can do.
