The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

WND's Kevin McCullough and the nuts and bolts of procreation

by: Pam Spaulding

Fri Dec 08, 2006 at 09:37:28 AM EST

You got blood vessels and membranes in your behind. And if you put something unnatural in there, it breaks them all up. No wonder your behind is bleeding. It's destroying us. Can't make no connection with a screw and another screw. The Bible says God made them male and female. The Hebrew word Negade, which means complimentary nature - there is something unique to man and unique to woman and it takes those two things to compliment each other. You can't make a connection with two screws. It takes a screw and a nut! (shouting)..."
--D.C. pastor Rev. Willie Wilson during a sermon.
If I didn't know better, I would have guessed that WND's Kevin McCullough was sitting in the pews at the Rev. Willie Wilson's Union Temple Baptist Church in Southeast D.C. when the pastor unleashed the above diatribe, which was caught on audiotape.

At the very least, perhaps McCullough listened to the recording for inspiration as he punched out Why would 'gays' want children? for WingNutDaily. Mary Cheney and Heather Poe are having a baby -- and what that proves is heterosexuality is superior. Read on for the twisted logic.

Is there a more obvious product of heterosexual behavior than the creation of children? If so, then isn't it somewhat peculiar that those who shun the behavior of heterosexuality so deeply crave the product that it brings?

...Two women who desire children cannot achieve satisfaction, because their sexual union is incapable of producing it. And this is fully true, even if all parties involved have healthy, fully functional reproductive biology.

Jeebus H. Christ. He's brought it all down to penis envy. The dick rules. Mary and Heather need the holy pee-pee to be happy and procreate, but those damned lesbian impulses get in the way.

How does that explain het couples who can't conceive. He has an answer for that as well, It's just a short circuit in God's design.  There's some serious dysfunction going on after the flip.

Pam Spaulding :: WND's Kevin McCullough and the nuts and bolts of procreation
If a man and wife struggle with infertility, it is because of biological breakdown. What God designed to work a certain way short-circuited. He has low sperm count. She doesn't produce eggs as she should. They have trouble getting the two together. The biological dysfunction is not voluntary. They have sexual intercourse time and time again, but because of the faulty genetics in the machinery they are unable to complete the conception. And should medicine ever develop a cure for whatever that specific breakdown might be, there will be no problem for the couple, through natural sexual engagement, to have a child.

Not so with Cheney and her partner. If they were to choose to engage in sex acts a thousand times over, their biological machinery would never produce what is needed - but for a different reason. There is no dysfunction in this case. Instead, the reason the sexual engagement does not work is because the necessary parts are not even present. It is the equivalent of screwing a nut onto a bolt, by using a hammer. They just don't fit.

So the "parts don't fit" argument is really all we're talking about here, because, in McCullough's perfect world, not only marriage, but artificial insemination should be the sole province of heterosexual couples, since it is a proxy for God's plan when the parts don't function properly. Has anyone looked that up in the Bible?

Wait, I've heard that bit about the parts bleated by another stellar mind, an elected official, back in August.

If the parts don't fit...

There are those who argue that a homosexual marriage would be no different than a heterosexual marriage. Obviously, this is not true. While the marriage of a man and woman has a potential life-giving procreative power, a homosexual marriage is a dead-end street...In life, there are some things that just are - a circle is a circle, a square is a square, and a marriage is between a man and a woman.
-- the wisdom of Rep. Bill Dunn, R-Knoxville (16th district in the Tennessee Legislature) in an op-ed for the Knoxville News
McCullough continues in his bible-thumping logical gymnastics, attacking Cheney saying lacks morals by bringing a child into society "who from the outcome is told that her second mommy is the equivalent of a true father?" Of course he goes on to tie it back to biblical conventions because, sadly, he longs for a theocracy that could impose the correct procreative plan on women like Cheney and Poe who are out of line.
In normal relationships, the privacy and intimacy of the act of procreation is a spiritual and beautiful thing. In the sexual acts of women who sleep together, that adequacy will be something they always long for and never have the satisfaction of knowing, thus undermining the fidelity of what they believe their relationship to be.

...Children are the undeniable product of the superiority of heterosexual engagement. And since homosexual behavior in large terms wishes to throw off the weight of conventional sexuality, I am curious as to why they would desire to reinforce the inferiority of their sexual behavior.

Sometimes you have to just let these people hang themselves with their own words.

oh Kevin...
"Children are the undeniable product of the superiority of heterosexual engagement."

children may also be the undeniable product of drunken one-night stands or violent rape.

your biblical contortions are as painful for us as they must be for you.  please stop.

Homosexuality isn't the problem.  Prejudice is.

whoa, back that train up!
"Two women who desire children cannot achieve satisfaction, because their sexual union is incapable of producing it."

Oh, I beg to differ.

I'm highly satisfied, thank you very much (not that it's any of HIS damn business!).

Lots of heteros don't have kids.  What does that say about their sexual satisfaction?  If having kids makes one sexually satisfied, then we'd have to deduce that heteros who keep breeding aren't being satisfied in purely sexual ways and thus must reproduce continuously to reach true sexual satisfaction.

I always felt these bleeters were simply sexually frustrated.  Perhaps this is another piece of proof.

Well, maybe their wives are, speaking of parts that don't fit properly.  ;^)

"...inferiority of their sexual behavior."
Ah, that's such a familiar argument. We're simply INFERIOR.

The het supremacists think what they do with their genitals is superior because it is validated by their God and the Bible -- and that the parts "don't fit."

This is the same reasoning people used to justify slavery.

When you look for the bad in mankind, expecting to find it, you surely will.

Baaaad analogies . . .
.. . and why I ADORE them.

"You can't make a connection with two screws. It takes a screw and a nut! (shouting)..."

Now calm down, dude, before you burst a pipe (I would have said "have a stroke," but he seems to relate to hardware metaphors, so I will play along).  There are many kinds of "nuts" and many kinds of "screws."  If it was just a matter of hardware, then any man and any woman could get along and make a perfect baby makin' union.  But that is not the case, because compatibility is more than mere, erm, "fasteners."

The true "nuts" and "bolts" are in the mind, and in the soul, not in the pants.  If he wants to truly understand human sexuality, the good reverend would do better to read a few books written in the past few decades, rather than doing his ruminating in Home Depot.

Only these nuts
think that having children is about sex and vice versa.  Their whole sexual philosophy is so skewed.  Even my conservative mother admits that it makes no sense to say that sex is bad and dirty one day and then pure and beautiful the next (after you enter into a holy heterosexual marriage).  Tons of straight couples are using assisted fertility technology to have their kids, or even (gasp!) adopting.  That is no different from what gays do, and neither one has anything to do with sexual satisfaction.  I think we can achieve sexual satisfaction without having to bring children into it, can we not??

scary thought
" think we can achieve sexual satisfaction without having to bring children into it, can we not??"

Maybe they can't.  Maybe to them children and sex are connected and that concept scares me.

BTW, I find the "screw/screw" analogy kind of funny.  There is a recepticle for one of the "screws".  A recepticle I might add that many men have used their "screws" on with women, eh?

That whole analogy is almost as funny as them talking about lesbians rubbing against each other.  We have a few "screws" of our own.  Some of us have a whole drawer full.  TOP THAT! (or bottom that or... :)

Dirty sex
Even my conservative mother admits that it makes no sense to say that sex is bad and dirty one day and then pure and beautiful the next (after you enter into a holy heterosexual marriage).

That reminds me of a comedian's line I once heard describing the fundie view of sex:

"Sex is dirty, disgusting and evil. Save it for someone you love."

and another thing...
amen brothers and sisters to all the above!

the other thing that gets my goat about these High Holy Christians is their constant emphasis on the physical being over the spiritual being.  Isn't that the main message of Jesus Christ...that we are spiritual beings here on earth to have a physical experience and not the other way around...that we are not just bodies????  not just parts???  not just skin colors???

i happen to think that gays and lesbians are often more spiritually evolved beings who see beyond form to substance...put that in your hash pipe and smoke it, Kevin McCullough

God's plan
Artificial insemination should be the sole province of heterosexual couples, since it is a proxy for God's plan when the parts don't function properly. Has anyone looked that up in the Bible?

Some clever commenters pointed out here the other day that the clearly specified "biblical" remedy for infertility is to f*ck the maid (and/or your sister-in-law and your sister-in-law's maid).  LOL

Since we're in the Christmas season...
Uhm, "What about Mary?"

She got pregnant, allegedly, through an act of divine intervention that didn't involve a penis.

So what about *that*?

These people obviously don't think through the consequences of their beliefs.

Re: Since we're in the Christmas season...
It involved a penis, just one that was busy elsewhere at the time.  ;^)
I know that the reactions of the Freepers is funny and all but doesn't it squick anyone else out that this is a baby Cheney?  I read the comments about getting male attention from the grandparents but considering who we are talking about is that really a good thing?  Maybe Mary's partner's parents are less scary.  Hopefully...

"that adequacy will be something they always long for"

HAHAHAHA... no.

I don't think I will ever feel less satified by never getting pregnant. I don't see it as something I want later on; for me it would likely be quite dangerous, uncomfortable and exhausting. The whole issue of morning sickness makes me rather squicky, I hate being sick so yeah. :P I'm not even going to get into the birthing part *shudder*.

Don't these people understand that not all women want to be filled with some kid for 9 months and spend a possible several hours giving birth? I realise it's a biological thing; but I feel we have logic and the mind to move beyond our basic instincts to also do what is best for us aswell as for others.

Besides, I'd rather adopt.

Silly vessel, wombs are for kids!

The AmTaliban considers choosing not to procreate to be a sin. We all have to be fruitful and multiply, doncha know.

And, the one thing they don't have is LOGIC. You are dealing with Dark Age thinking here.

When you look for the bad in mankind, expecting to find it, you surely will.

Yay, I'm sinning!
"The AmTaliban considers choosing not to procreate to be a sin. We all have to be fruitful and multiply, doncha know."

So um, I'm one big load of evil in their eyes? Yippee!

I've been thinking
I saw those Canadian "What's wrong with gay marriage? -- the same thing that's wrong with straight marriage" commercials on youtube.com and I didn't like them, really in fact, hated them.  It is definitely the negative way to look at it.

I've been thinking of a new way to get the same message out.  How bout interview-type footage but make it sort of home video-like (or maybe just a bunch of home video clips) and the question is why did you marry your wife/husband.  Almost all of the people answer in a montage of romantic beautiful speeches about love and beauty and truth, (the clips could just be the same thing except maybe wedding announcements or engagements, will you marry me speeches) and then go to gay couples and ask "why did you decide to marry your wife/husband?" and in the U.S. they would say we can't (well with 1 exception) so then "why did you choose your permanent life-partners?" and all their answers would be pretty much the same and say at the end like "So is marriage just about making babies?  Support gay marriage."  I think that highlights the positive, instead of the negative, aspects of a relationship and proves that gay people can love just as much as straight people.  I think that people see that gay couples have problems but they don't see the true love as easily.
