The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

A&E's 'Wedding Wars' gives Porno Pete the vapors

by: Pam Spaulding

Mon Dec 11, 2006 at 21:06:05 PM EST

Tonight at 9PM ET, A&E is debuting an original movie, Wedding Wars, which has been promoted over the past few weeks by asking the question "What if gays went on strike?" The premise:

Shel (John Stamos), a gay party planner, agrees to organize the nuptials for straight brother Ben (Eric Dane) to Maggie (Bonnie Somerville), the Governor of Maine's (James Brolin) daughter. After Shel finds out that Ben, a campaign manager for his future father-in-law, is behind the governor's speech against gay marriage, he decides to go on strike for equal rights. Shel's strike picks up steam and eventually spreads nationwide, leaving the impending wedding vows in the hands of a tacky planner and overall, in question.
Wedding Wars is directed by Jim Fall (Trick, The Lizzie McGuire Movie) from a script by Stephen Mazur (Liar, Liar).
OK. That sounds like a nice light comedy with a message about equality tacked on, right?

Look at what Peter LaBarbera sees as the message in the film.

Just what America needs: more homosexual propaganda on TV. Yep, every day I’m reminded just how disenfranchised this poor, beleaguered “gay minority” is. Who are they kidding? The homosexual activist lobby has elite power — far disproportionate to their tiny numbers – and they aren’t afraid to use it.

If you have any doubts about how ludicrous it is to say that the “gay marriage” movement has ANYTHING in common with the noble civil rights struggle that ended state-sponsored segregation in this country, check out this link for the annual “Aspen Gay and Lesbian Ski Week” (note the appropriate theme of the Seven Deadly Sins). Talk about wealth, power, and privilege.

We can chuckle at the symbolism of actor John Stamos’ career path, from playing a caring father of twins in “Full House” to playing a homosexual party planner in “Wedding Wars.” But the downward evolution of the fight for “equality” in America — from Selma to Aspen, from ending horrible Jim Crow laws to shilling for counterfeit “marriage,” from stigmatizing racist bigotry to scoffing at Christian morality — is a sober reminder of the corruption of civil rights in this nation.

Am I missing something, or has someone taken Peter's remote away, his TV is locked onto A&E, and he's strapped to a chair, forced to watch this movie? He moves on to tell us how we, the homosexual activists are pushing our AgendaTM, and destroying Christianity in the process.

Porno Pete goes over the edge after the flip.

So often pro-family advocates are asked why we care so much about “what two people do in their bedroom,” “why can’t we just leave them alone?” etc., as if homosexuality is a private matter that just sort of exists without demanding attention. For some, of course, it is. But “Wedding Wars” shows us the flip side of the “gay” movement, which proudly DEMANDS approval at every opportunity, and feels the need to ridicule Judeo-Christian values in order to score points for the “gay” cause.

Makes sense: sinful lifestyles cannot be elevated to normal and even “Christian” status unless sin itself is redefined, and normalcy and Christianity are brought lower.

This seeming pathological drive for approval (tolerance is passe) is why proud homosexuality will remain the most divisive social issue this country has faced in a long time. The “gay” activists won’t leave us alone. They can’t. To achieve their revolutionary, egalitarian goal of treating homosexuality the same as heterosexuality in our culture, they and their increasingly radical straight allies are forced to discredit and destroy a lot of good, Bible-based tradition – and turn the hearts of America’s children against God’s created purpose for sexuality.

This is so twisted. Last time I looked, the fundies were the ones that can't seem to leave us alone, mounting efforts to pass ballot measures depriving us of rights that other Americans take for granted, allow us to be fired from our jobs, and marginalize our relationships.

An Idea
Let's strap Porno Pete into a chair, set the channel changer to A&E, close the door, forget about him, and come back in about two months.  Voila!  No more Porno Pete, only Corpso Pete!

The smell will be un-Godly, but no worse than his rhetoric.

As much as we detest him
We can't sink to his and his ilk's level and wish death upon him or anyone else.  Porno Pete deserves his dignity as much as we do and is entitled to his outlandish opinions.  So even though we do not like him, doesn't mean that we should wish harm or death.

Full House...
Isn't Full House that sitcom about three guys raising one of the guy's three daughters?  Where's LaBitch's rage on that one.  He's currently been bitching about Mary Cheney's pregnancy, but not on an old sitcom about three men raising children.  We haven't heard anything from LaBitch about My Two Dads, either.

Finally!
something Pete and I agree on:
"Just what America needs: more homosexual propaganda on TV."
yeah, that *is* just what america needs!  and lets have more - lots more!

the movie sounds cute.  you cableheads, let the rest of us know how it was, k?

"Egalitarian"
Is "egalitarian" a dirty word now?  Sort of like "liberal" I suppose--too scary for the forces of reaction to handle, so it must be redefined as a sinful evil through a propaganda campaign.

***

As far as "bible-based traditions", aren't they all pretty thoroughly discredited already, through association with the hatemongers, snake oil vendors, and other assorted freaks of the radical right?

Destroying them isn't really anyone's goal that I'm aware of.  Making participation in them voluntary instead of compulsory is, however.  If "bible-based traditions" can't stand on their own without enforcement by the state, well, so much for the almighty power of YHWH.

Is there any problem that can't be solved by crying about liberals?  The war is going badly because liberals are controlling the media.  People want to wish other people well during the holiday season damn those liberals for taking God out of Christmas!  The debt's too high- well, the liberals control the media.  The list goes on.  It's like a mantra with these people isn't it?
(I'm sitting here kind of smirking about Petey's comment about the allies.  Tolerance is so liberal, eeew!)

If you think about it a bit...
...conservatives who blame all of their failures on others (the media, liberals, gays, etc., etc., etc.) are doing nothing more than claiming to be victims

To channel Bart Simpson, they are of the "It ain't my fault--I didn't do it" mentality.

Victimhood is very important to conservatives.  Conservatives politically and conservative Christians.

I'm watching this
at my husband's insistence.  It's a lighthearted comedy with a message, much like you'd see on Lifetime.

If LaBoobera thinks this is the end of civilization, he must think civilization (and marriage, etc.) is pretty fragile.

The guy's a total ass.

It seems to me that its time for Miss LaBarbera . . .
to follow in the footsteps of another "journalist" with an obsession for everything homo-sexual - Jeff Gannon. It's the natural evolution of thangs in the world of the wackos, Petey. . . and with all the endless hours spent monitoring everything "gay," you are putting your own sexual orientation at great risk from the subliminal messages pouring forth from every syllable of gayspeak. Soon you will have little choice but to confess your deepest desires and either check into an ex-gay-for-pay re-education camp or chart a new career path, like Gannon, of writing for those homosexual publications.

It is too bad that Miss LaBarbera doesn't pay as much attention to Christianity as she/he does to the imagined antics of leatherclad and party-planning gay men. After all, his latest plea-for-hate-money tirade rather reveals that he has much less to do with being religious than being a wannabe hate business mogul. The very idea that her claims that homosexuals will "destroy" Christianity is evidence that he is neither "Christian" nor "bible-believing" - because you can't destroy an idea.

If his "religious" beliefs were indeed real, they can't be destroyed by others. So perhaps that is the threat that brings people like LaBabs to her/his knees each night - the threat is reality, and those who can't believe without having shallow reminders pasted all around them, without demanding special rights to punish others who do not believe, without resorting to phony symbolic 'wars" instead of strengthening the validity of their faith are obviously only born-again in the eyes of their bank accountants.

Yes, Porno Pete fans - methinks LaBarbera has much more faith in the voyeuristic profiteering of his "research" business than in the constant memorized religious cliches repeated in lockstep with all the big boy peepee-supremacist organizations. And in that respect, Petey has no real interest in seeing any "homosexual" agenda fade away - it brings far more silver coins to his purse than any tired televangelista network that would righteously serve the poor and weak.

Pete and Phelps
He says he doesn't support Fred Phelps message, but his actions speak deafening volumes contrary to his words.  See here.  http://www.lifesite....

What a total liar. See here.  His rhetoric isn't much different from Phelps, except in its tone.  Pete's a hypocrite, at best.

http://americansfort...

Petra's Losing It.
The doomed, degraded saga of Ted Haggard must have really given Pete an outside-in look deep into his own soul.  He's REALLY losing his grip on reality.

LeBabz keeps on losing it
I always find Petey's loose witted attempts at activism hilarious, but in severe need of psychiatric care.

Y'know I think we should all pitch in, and purchase a straight jacket for Petey.  There is a P.O. box on his website we can send it to .... with much love from the Blenders @ Pam's House Blend.

Wouldn't that make an excellent stuffer for his stocking?  (Among other things!!!)

Inspite of Porno-Pete's Warning
I did watch the Wedding Wars.  It was good (a better premise then result), but somehow I didn't see anything that Peteey did.
The ending was a disappointment tho.  Submit and do a makeover of the wedding reception. It was like the straight producer kicked the gays out of the writers room to come up with an ending that will make the unwashed masses happy to know that gays are better wedding scene makers then fighters.

Geez--get yer Full House trivia right, dude
I watched a TON of Full House when it was on--my oldest kid is the same age as the Olsen waifs and loved that show as a toddler. Oy. Anyway...

Stamos played "Uncle Jesse," who, by character name alone, would obviously not be the father of the three girls--not twins. the twins were the fabled Mary-Kate and Ashley, sharing the role of Michelle Tanner, baby of the clan. The other girls were older sisters, DJ and Stephanie. More to the point, Uncle Jesse was the younger brother of the dead wife and a serious womanizer--and a musician, for God's sake, with the tag line, "have mercy!" when a hot chick walked by. Hardly a paragon of Church Lady Christianity. All of this is easily Googled--I doublechecked my memory before posting this. There's a Wikipedia article on it...Sadly, I nailed the whole thing...

So Pete doesn't even have the basics right in that segment of his screed, which undermines even that simple bit of "support" for his dumb-ass argument. I mean, if you're gonna assail pop culture, at least know what the hell you're talking about.

Oops
I guess later in the show--after my kid stopped watching it-- Uncle Jesse settled down, married and did indeed have twins...oh well...

Right now...
...I'm sad for Pete.  I think he's mentally ill and that's a hard thing to be.

Re: Right now...
Nah, I think that he's a whore who is just using this in order to get money.  I have no doubt that he's squicked out but he's a minor league Ann Coulter IMO.

My America includes LGBT families.

To turn serious for a moment
(Note: I'm loving the hysterical posts above, but I realized something this morning when reading this post, and I wanted to  comment on it before I forgot).
check out this link for the annual “Aspen Gay and Lesbian Ski Week” (note the appropriate theme of the Seven Deadly Sins). Talk about wealth, power, and privilege.
Notice how LaBarbera equates money with civil rights?  Let's all stop for a moment on this.  According to LB, because some gay people have money (not all, of course, but I'm sure to him we're all one many-headed beast), because some gay people are lucky enough, hard-working enough, or through a combination of the above have some money and social comfort: they must be tolerated already, and they must already have all the rights they need.  As far as he's concerned, we've arrived.
Can you think of a better summation of conservative-Republican principles than this?  LB assumes that since some of them there gays are out spending money, all must be well with the world. Since money=happiness, or possibly divine approval, and "we gays" have money, now we're just whining for more.
I can see LB back in the 60s, standing up and proudly proclaiming his civil rights creed, as he did above, but adjusted for the times, "I have a dream for blacks and other minorities: as soon as a few percent of you can afford Disneyworld vacations, we have achieved equality!"
What a sad, sad man.  And he purports to speak for Christians.  It's been awhile since bible study, but wasn't there a parable (you know, something Jesus ACTUALLY said), something involving rich men, camels, and needles?

Lovely show
I watched this last night and I adored it!

Our "Propaganda" is better than yours!

Not bad, I thought...
It was light-hearted, great background music, playful.

Engaged a few stereotypes about gay male hairdressers, decorators, party planners, and yet avoided some as well... Stamos had better hair but no major changes in voice or body language.

Best of all, Stamos' character and partner's kiss, and dancing, toward the end came across as authentic.

Message-wise, some thoughtul stuff about distinguishing between what is popular and what is right.

Is it me...
Or does this guy REALLY need to get a life already? Is this all he does? Doesn't he have a job, friends, anything? Does he constantly miss his kids (if he has any) birthdays for his "research"?

It's really quite sad, and frankly, incredibly pathetic. It seems that he does nothing more than this, and it's all he has. There's nothing more to him. Something tells me that instead of bitching about others' lives, he really needs to sort his own out, and you know, GET one.

A feel-good movie
My partner and I watched it last night (timeshifted) and thought it was silly but fun. Just imagine if all the gays did go on strike....  If you missed it, it's going to be on again this Saturday night on A&E.  Be sure to watch the spot from GLAAD.

Phelps (no relation to Fred!)

Also on the glaad web site
The spot is by Julianne Moore.... you can watch it on their web site at glaad.org.
