Blend-o-licious endorsements...

The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

Army re-assigns recruiter for sending homophobic, racist emails

by: Pam Spaulding

Slap on the wrist. We don't know whether Marcia Ramode received a pay cut or took a hit in rank, but she's no longer recruiting. Is this sufficient punishment for the kind of email exchanges she sent to Corey Andrew? (SLDN):
The Army has re-assigned a recruiter who sent racist and homophobic emails to a potential recruit who inquired about Army careers, Servicemembers Legal Defense Network (SLDN) has learned.  Sergeant Marcia Ramode, who in March sent a series of offensive emails to Corey Andrew, an African American gay man contacted by Ramode through Monster.com,  has "been suspended from recruiting duties," and "has been reassigned from Army Recruiting Command to a duty position elsewhere in the Army," according to S. Douglas Smith, Public Affairs Officer for the U.S. Army Recruiting Command.  "The investigation has been completed, and administrative action has been taken," Smith said in an email to SLDN.

Click to enlarge (and read and weep again).  Here's the PDF of the exchanges, sent out under a military domain as official business communication.

In her emails with Andrew, Ramode said, among other things, that Andrew should "go back to Africa and do your gay voodoo limbo tango and wango dance and jump around and prance and run all over the place half naked there and practice your gay morals over there..."  Ramode also said that "being gay is disgusting and immoral," and told Andrew to "migrate to another country."  SLDN assisted Andrew is bringing the emails to the attention of Ramode's command.

"The U.S. Army needs, and deserves, better ambassadors than Marcia Ramode," said Sharra E. Greer, director of law and policy for SLDN.  "Our armed forces are entrusted with defending `liberty and justice for all,' but Ramode's comments publicly undermined any commitment to those ideals.  Until military leaders demand, and enforce, a zero-tolerance policy for homophobic and racist rants like hers, harassment and intimidation will continue to occur.  Sergeant Ramode shouldn't just be re-assigned; she should be removed from duty altogether."

Darn close to revolution time.
We keep inching our way toward taxation without representation.

Wow
YOUR FREEDOM OF SPEECH WAS GIVENM TO YOU BY THE US MILITARY

And here all this time I thought it was the Constitution.

Would Anyone Like To Make a Wager with Me?
That Marcia Ramode's "reassignment" is a promotion?

=>The truth usually isn't pretty. Don't blame me for telling it.<=

Maybe, but it's probably an improvement
I hear recruiting is a pretty lousy job. She's probably glad that she doesn't have to do it anymore.

Not What I Meant About Promotion
I wasn't talking about Marcia's evaluation of her job, I meant the Army's evaluation of Marcia.  If they did, in fact promote her (which I suspect), it means they approved of what she said, and agreed with it.

It means her career is over.
Being suspended from a duty post and then re-assigned after publicly embarassing your command is a good way of killing your career.  I'm willing to bet that her evaluation report has some serious negatives on it that will practically guarantee she never gets another promotion.  My guess is that she'll get the message and will either hang on at her current rank till she has her 20 or simply not re-enlist when her current contract is up.  This is how the military quietly disposes of problems.

Some Fundie group like Confused Women of America
Would recruit Marcia Ramode making her both a victim of GLBT and then a hero in CWA's Crusade of Hate and Lies towards GLBT American Citizens. Matt Barber would love to expand his CWA Harem with Ms. Ramode.

Undoubtedly.
Which the military cannot control.  Yet her career in the military is essentially over.  I would have preferred that she lose a stripe or two, but this way is effective as well (just not as satisfying).

Keep Marcia Ramode!
I would love to see Marcia Ramode stay as a recruiter.

First, she does truly represent our Army. If you doubt that, just recall General Pace's recent remarks about our inherent immorality. So why should we try to hide her from view? That would be like false advertising.

Second, and most important, the more people the armed services can alienate and the harder time they have recruiting, the better. I want Marcia Ramode to tell every black man that he is a jungle bunny and every Latino that he is a dirty burrito-muncher and every rural white Southerner that he is an inbred sister-f*cker.

I want recruitment to fall to zero.

Marcia, Marcia, Marcia! Keep Her.
Jim, not only are you right in that Marcia and Peter Pace think the same thoughts and don't represent some tiny fringe group of the military, but yes... YES... anything that'll keep recruiting down is just peachy-keen.  These phony colonial wars don't make us safer, either.  Just the opposite.  Leave Marcia there, and add Don Imus, Michael Richards and Isaiah Washington to the recruitment team.

Obviously, the military is overloaded and needs fewer people, not more.  Proof?  Don't Ask/Don't Tell discharges.
Case closed.

SLDN could find out her outcome better
Sgt. Ramode probably was reverted back to her primary MOS (job training)and sent to a different post.  All will be forgotten as most military people haven't read anything about this.

Since the Amry has a "F**k up and move up" policy for some, this really won't affect her too much.  At the most she got an Article 15 hearing and maybe lost 30 days pay...but I doubt even that.

Worse for her is now she may actually have to work instead of sitting around a recruiting station drinking coffee.  This may get her to leave the service.

Doubtful.
She was suspended from her duties and transferred after publicly embarassing her command.  Don't forget that she used racist language in addition to homophobic which isn't smiled upon.  Commanders have ways of dealing with subordinates who make them look bad in the public eye.  I bet she never gets another promotion, doesn't last and she knows it.
