Blend-o-licious endorsements...

The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

Bargain basement prices on Mary Cheney's tome

by: Pam Spaulding

Sat May 12, 2007 at 10:00:00 AM EDT

I'm not joking. Check out the Amazon page.

Has the price fallen enough for you to buy?

Hat tip to Michael Petrelis, who said: "Unfortunately, many trees were felled for Cheney's book and you can now purchased the damn thing for a mere $0.07. That's seven cents, folks, for a used copy. A new one could set you back $1.89. Heck, it's going to cost more for shipping charges than the price of the book."

Hey Russ
Thought you'd be interested in this bit of science news:
Vaporizing cannabis leaves instead of burning them can release the drug's active ingredient just as effectively - while avoiding the harmful toxins inhaled through smoking the drug, according to a pilot study. ...

Donald Abrams of the University of California, San Francisco, and his team decided to investigate the benefits of the 'Volcano', a commercially available vaporizer. The device heats marijuana leaves to a temperature between 180 and 200 °C so that THC is released from oils on the surface of the leaf but no actual combustion takes place.

Previous studies have shown that harmful toxins released through smoking cannabis such as carbon monoxide, benzene and a host of compounds known as polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (many of which are known carcinogens) are not produced by such devices.

The original research article is here.

hm, I had some other open thread things...  maybe I'll post those in a bit.  More work to do first though.

Electricity's for light bulbs!

Not interested.

Let the book sit in the bargin basement bin.  I'm not interested.

Russ is on
Russ in on the air and talking about religion.

Also, I'm with Autumn.  I won't be purchasing the book.

Electricity's for light bulbs!

Good mulch
I need a whole bunch of sheet mulch for a beech hedge I planted about three years ago.  If I can get them for .07 apiece, even with shipping it's cheaper than what I can buy locally.  I'd buy it for that.

Price still not right
I would grudgingly *take* a copy of it if they gave me enough money with it that the policies of the Republican party with regards to "marriage protection" had no impact to the financial stability of my family.

In other words, I'm guessing I'll never read it.

MoveOn
Surprisingly, MoveOn has an impeachment poll up.

Electricity's for light bulbs!

Not a bargain
I am looking for a signed copy for 2 cents.

Make alot of noise. Life is short.

What is Cheney worth?
If Amazon is willing to pay me, I can find someone to take the turncoat's fishwrapper off their hands.  We could pulp  her tripe into those fake fireplace logs you buy at drugstores.  That is still too good to the fucking traitor.

Mary
Of course, this Mary couldn't be the mother of Christ for the second coming.  But have you ever heard of a payoff to Big Dick?  This smells of payoff like you've never seen.

hey seven cents ain't gonna buy disposable diapers for DAMIEN
I'm hoping Mary squats out her little baster b*stard on Mother's day, it'd FREAK out Falwell, Tony Perkins and Alan Keyes...and that in turn would MAKE MY DAY!

Hey the kid hasn't done anything yet!
Lots of wonderful people have had horrible parents. Besides, your choice of words is demeaning to all lesbian mothers - and really to women generally.

Who knows, maybe having a child to care for will change Mary's perspective and convince her to think of someone other than herself for a change. It wouldn't be the first time.

According to Reagan
The more trees destroyed to make Darthette's book, the better.  Trees cause more pollution than cars, remember?

Yeah, but
His Secretary of the Interior (James Watt I think?) said not to worry because before we can destroy the earth Jeebus will be coming back in a cloud.

Maybe we could throw all the unsold copies in the rivers so that he gets here faster!

Worse Contamination of Fish?
Mercury or Mary's book?

It's all very well to mock the book's failure--
But she got a reported million dollars advance for the book.  Simon & Schuster won't remotely earn that back and the book won't earn out, but she got paid big bucks for her dishonesty and nastiness, and spread both in the media while promoting the book. Her publisher helped her agenda and give her a huge stage.  I wish good gay authors had that kind of publicity and backing.

Good authors
don't always have the personal connections, access to power, and ability to trade in favors that she does.

I know it
Believe, as a gay author with 18 books, I know that intimately.  But being gay doesn't always mean no access, since I know two authors who published with big houses, and one did very well, because of who they were sleeping with.
My point was simply (!) wishing that the world were different and that people with nothing to say, like MC, did not get a golden megaphone.

The one thing that does satisfy me about this is that she's now "box office poison" in the publishing world.  When a book tanks like that, nobody will want to publish a second book.  So she's been dished.

The only positive about this book
Embarrasment to King George over the "sanctity" marriage amendment to our Constitution, if the arrogant chimp can be embarassed.

Make alot of noise. Life is short.

And just let me say...
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What's with the $90 copies?
It looks like they have free rush deliveries on those (and they are also used) but don't they know that we can buy 1285 copies (only 22 if you include $3.99 for shipping each book) for that price?
Underbear1, I agree with Cambridge Kid on this one.  That is an innocent baby.  It will be born into that scary family through no fault of its own.  What becomes of him or her due to being raised by a Cheney and because of his or her character are yet to be seen.  Judge then.

My America includes LGBT families.

The CHEAPIST thing available to purchase in America RIGHT NOW
Mary, Mary, Quite contrary, you are a daughter of a real DICK DAD. How Sad!!!

I once heard Billy Graham say, "The opposite of love is not hate. The opposite of love is indifference."
Seven cents is about as indifferent as it gets.

Unless
it drops to a nickel, of course. :)
