Blend-o-licious endorsements...

The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

Nebraska Senate kills anti-discrimination bill

by: Pam Spaulding

Fri May 25, 2007 at 09:00:00 AM EDT

No steps forward in this part of Red State America. This is why we need ENDA.
The Senate voted 24-15 to kill the most recent bill, introduced by Sen. Ernie Chambers (D-Omaha).

Prior to the vote Chambers said the legislation would give gays and lesbians "what all of us take for granted: the right to earn an honest living. We're not talking about anything other than the right to get a job."

Two Republicans led the attack on the bill. Sen. Tony Fulton (R-Lincoln) said it would give special rights to homosexuals and said it could lead to protections for to pedophiles and transvestites.

Sen. Tom Carlson (R-Holdrege) said gays don't need workplace protections as long as they keep their sex lives in the closet. "We're talking here about values. We're talking here about behavior. We're talking here about ethics," he said.

Yes, we have a long way to go if we're waiting for "fairness" to come from "the people." Ironically, Iowa and Colorado, neighbors to Nebraska, are about to have anti-discriminations measures signed into law by their governors, joining 18 other states and DC that outlaw employment discrimination because of orientation.

Gay businesses
So at the sametime, a gay owner can refuse to hire a heterosexual? Someone needs to do that to let them know how it feels.

No,
that would be discrimination.

So?
So?

All's fair until we're recognized as full and equal citizens.

turn about is fair play
Actually I remember reading about an incident in Colorado (several yrs ago) where a straight couple was turned away from a gay owned B&B because they were straight....oh the outrage!!!

[ Parent ]
In the short term,
That would be funny and very satisfying.  In the long-term, it will do nothing to endear people to our cause.

One comment on Carlson's nonsense.
"Gays don't need workplace protections as long as they keep their sex lives in the closet."

I'll buy that when all the straights are told to keep their sex lives in the closet, too.

That means no more wearing wedding or engagement rings to work.

That means no more family photos on your office desk.

That means no more discussing the date you had last weekend.

In short, if it even hints that you're straight, zip your lips.

I Agree
Amen to that!

sex lives to ourselves ??
Heck, no more public sex in the corn fields.

Make alot of noise. Life is short.

Religious people don't need protections...
as long as they keep their faith within the church/mosque/synagogue/temple.

Tranny Pedophiles
Isn't anyone else just a little peeved that our elected members of congress are equating many of us with pedophiles?

This is why we need ENDA to be trans-inclusive
"Two Republicans led the attack on the bill. Sen. Tony Fulton (R-Lincoln) said it would give special rights to homosexuals and said it could lead to protections for to pedophiles and transvestites."

I just took a quick look at LB 475 and, unless I missed it, the bill was not trans-inclusive - and, yet, the anti-trans garbage was hurled nevertheless.  I'm sure the incrementalists (read: transphobes) out there think this sort of nonsense won't plague a non-inclusive ENDA; but, then again, the incrementalists (read: transphobes) out there think a lot of things.

If, in fact, LB 475 was not trans-inclusive, it deserved to be defeated.  Passage of non-inclusive legislation is worse for transpeople than passage of no legislation at all.
