The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

Former homo and CWA mouthpiece Stephen Bennett unloads on Mary and Heather

by: Pam Spaulding

Wed May 30, 2007 at 18:00:00 PM EDT

Ah, yes, the true believers. The bible-beaters endlessly courted by the GOP (and necessary for them to win these days) are just foaming at the mouth over the birth of little Samuel Cheney to Mary and her partner Heather Poe.

Alleged former homosexual Stephen Bennett, spokesperson for the untethered folks at Concerned Women for America, has gone over the edge in a press release on the matter, "White House Officially Recognizes Homosexual Unions and Parenting?". The hysteria leaps off of the web page; please brace yourself as you click to read this drivel below the fold.

Pam Spaulding :: Former homo and CWA mouthpiece Stephen Bennett unloads on Mary and Heather
Hat tip to John @ Americablog for this horror from Bennett:
What is extremely troubling is the official White House caption that appears underneath the photo on the official White House website:

... His parents are the Cheney's daughter Mary, and her partner, Heather Poe. White House photo by David Bohrer.

Since when have two homosexual women been able to naturally procreate?

Fact is Mary Cheney, the Vice President's daughter - in one way or another - received a male's sperm. She is the biological mother, parent number one, and some man, somewhere out there, is Samuel David's real biological father, parent number two.

Unlike the official White House photo caption, a man and a woman, a Daddy and a Mommy, are Samuel David Cheney's REAL biological parents.

Then who is Heather Poe?

Heather Poe is Mary Cheney's live-in lesbian lover. She may act like a parent, she may treat the baby as a parent, she may love this baby with all of her heart, but in this reality we all live in, Heather Poe is NOT the baby's real parent. She has NO biological connection to the child whatsoever. Some man, the baby's real Daddy, is the child's other REAL parent.

If the Vice President and his wife Lynne are joining their daughter Mary in playing this homosexual game of "house," then all have chosen their roles and designated lesbian lover Heather Poe as the "Daddy."

Everyone knows there can only be one REAL biological Mommy. We are all grown adults. Playing "house" is a game for children, not for The White House or the Vice President and his wife.

What is so hypocritical of this Administration is its "double-speak."

President George W. Bush held several presses conferences calling for a Federal Marriage Amendment to protect the God-ordained institution of marriage between one man and one woman, while homosexuals pushed for the union of two men or two women to be equally recognized as real "marriage."

However, the President's number two, right hand man, Vice President Dick Cheney, clearly rebels against his superior, makes a public mockery of the President and the current Administration he is supposed to represent, and clearly holds to a different set of moral standards and beliefs.

When President Bush stood on the victory stage several years ago after being elected into office by values voters, Mary Cheney was on stage as well with her lesbian lover, Heather Poe. It was a slap in the face to the values voters who had just elected the duo into office. That wound has never healed. [This is insane, but he's only saying what we know these folks have been thinking for a long time. And yet the GOP still continues to court these people.]

While this little innocent child Samuel David Cheney deserves every fighting chance at life, the sins of two women, Mary Cheney and Heather Poe, have deliberately denied the Vice President's grandson one of the most basic human rights of all: the right to a Daddy and a Mommy.

I say shame on the White House, shame on the President and shame on the Vice President for allowing such a caption to be "officially" added onto the White House website and such a beautiful photo of two happy grandparents and their new grandchild.

I guess we can tragically and officially say both the White House and Bush Administration have officially recognized the sinful sexual unions of homosexuals, as well as recognized and embraced the tragedy of the social experiment of homosexual parenting.

Good Gawd!
You can almost see the spittle coming off their lips in frustration!  Holy cow Batman!

And I know I'm evil when I comment on someone's looks, but Damn! I want Stephen Bennett's smile (toned down about two shades of enamal white though)!!

you know
I was thinking the exact same thing (actually I was wondering if it was photoshopped to be that blindingly white or if he just ate bleach for about a year for that effect).

[ Parent ]
Stephen's Smile
If I had his smile I would take up smoking to yellow my teeth a little!

<3 Sam

[ Parent ]
Yeah he
appears to have  glued Chicklet's gum to his teeth. Isn't there whitening qualities in cum as well.........?

[ Parent ]
For some reason...
For some reason, anytime I see that pic of Bennett, I think of that Friends episode where Ross over-bleaches his teeth.

And I see someone even more pathetic.

KAt

>^..^<

[ Parent ]
The same could be said of you, Stephen
Sorry, but I just couldn't help but rewrite this paragraph:

Heather Poe is Mary Cheney's live-in lesbian lover. She may act like a parent, she may treat the baby as a parent, she may love this baby with all of her heart, but in this reality we all live in, Heather Poe is NOT the baby's real parent. She has NO biological connection to the child whatsoever. Some man, the baby's real Daddy, is the child's other REAL parent.

...to read:
Stephen Bennet may act straight, he may have co-workers who treat him as straight, and he may believe with all his self-deluded heart that he *is* straight, but those of us who belong to the reality-based community know that he's just one big 'ol closeted gay man.

Mary and Heather's little boy
Stephen Bennett and the rest of the anti-gay industry just can't keep from shooting themselves in the foot over this.

I say we let them.

what research?
1. What non-Cameronian research does Bennett have in mind when he writes:
tragedy of the social experiment of homosexual parenting.
Very little searching on the topic finds plenty of references indicating anything but trajedies due to same-sex parenting.

And 2. How does he feel about adoption by heterosexuals?  If there's an approving nod to heterosexual adoption in the above, it's not clear.  The validity, as indicated by Bennett, of the parent is completely determined by biologic relation.

He is so angry over baby Samuel that... well none of his statement is coherent.  Aren't there any ex-gay-for-pay columnists out there who can blather in a straight line?

Electricity's for light bulbs!

homos have been parents for time immemorial
but they were called "closet cases", hiding out in hetero marriages.  i guess our little spittle-maker may have been unaware of them.

To answer your question
"Aren't there any ex-gay-for-pay columnists out there who can blather in a straight line?"

Nope.  This guy should be wearing a tee-shirt that says "I can't even blather straight."

[ Parent ]
Hey, queer chick, what's the etymology of your tag line?

[ Parent ]
Hey Queer Chick
This your tag line something your mom said to you?

[ Parent ]
Mary & Holly:
It comes from an episode of The Simpsons ("Summer of 4 ft. 2") in which the family is going to spend a summer vacation at the beach, and Marge tells Lisa she can invite a friend along.

Lisa: Friends?... My only friends are grown-up nerds like Gore Vidal, and even he?s kissed more boys than I ever will.
Marge: Girls, Lisa. Boys kiss girls.

Yup--I'm pretty geekalicious.

Girls, Lisa. Boys kiss girls.

[ Parent ]
Ahh, that's stunningly esoteric. I'm glad I asked!

[ Parent ]
You know...
My friends and associates are such a grabbag of geeks and fanboy/girls that I don't even know what's esoteric anymore.

Girls, Lisa. Boys kiss girls.

[ Parent ]
That's a great episode.
What did you think of the 400th, "You Kent Always Say What You Want?"

I liked this exchange:

Homer: I won't stay in the same house with a member of the liberal media!

Marge: You'll have to excuse him, he's been watching a lot of Fox News lately.

Homer: Did you know that every day Mexican gays sneak into the country and unplug our brain-dead ladies?

Electricity's for light bulbs!

[ Parent ]
I wasn't that keen on it
I just feel the writing's slipped so much over the past few years.

And that line's not even writing--they just transcribed Fox News, right?

Girls, Lisa. Boys kiss girls.

[ Parent ]
hah
yes, maybe it was a direct quote from one of their "experts."

I know, when I watch the first few seasons... well they aren't comparable to the show today. I'm thankful for DVDs. I'm also  afraid of what the movie will bring, regardless of the endless edits I read about.

An insult to all adoptive parents
"Heather Poe . . . may act like a parent, she may treat the baby as a parent, she may love this baby with all of her heart, but in this reality we all live in, Heather Poe is NOT the baby's real parent. She has NO biological connection to the child whatsoever. Some man, the baby's real Daddy, is the child's other REAL parent."

An insult to all parents of adopted children, gay and straight.

Biology doesn't make a person a parent
That totally pissed me off!!!!  I'm adopted and even though my parents were complete suck asses about me being gay, they're the only people I know as my parents.  I don't even know those who donated their genes to my development.  What did they do for me?  Did they stay up with me in the middle of the night when I was sick?  Did they worry about me being five minutes late from a date?  Did they make sure I was fed and clothed and safe every damn day of my life?  I don't think so.

[ Parent ]
Yeah!
I have an now adult, adopted son.  I defintely love and care about him.

[ Parent ]
As an adoptive parent...
I am offended by his comments.  Wait... doesn't Stephen realize that Joseph wasn't biologically connected to Jesus?  So Joseph wasn't Jesus "real parent"?  Maybe God purposely had Jesus born into a non-traditional (blended) family to teach the fundies tolerance.  These Christofacists can't have it both ways.

[ Parent ]
Me, too!
I am SO PISSED at this asshole who obviously has no clue as to what constitutes a family or a parent!  The man who raised me and supported me from the time I was 5 until he died 3 years ago had absolutely no biological connection to me, but he was my DADDY!  He loved me and my brother unconditionally.  Today, as an adoptive PARENT of two kids myself, I know exactly how he felt.  I cannot imagine loving my children any more just because we happen to share some DNA.

[ Parent ]
Hmmm
Funny, but doesn't he have a live-in lesbian lover too, aka his beard "wife" aka partner in crime for suckers who pay them $$$?

Serves the Cheney's right
For not picturing Mary and her partner with their baby.  Just the two conniving grandparents posturing like regular grandparents.  Same sex couples are now kept invisible by the Presidency.  When you put a face on us, there usually is no attack.

Make alot of noise. Life is short.

I told him he was "looney" and then hung up!
I called the number to The Parenting Group and got Mr. Bennett on the line personally!  I told him that in refering to Ms. Poe's lack of biological connection he was in effect slapping the faces of all the straight parents who could not biologically conceive.  He said absolutely not and that if I would just click through to The Parenting Group website, I would find that he had gone into great detail to make the distinction.  He said that there just wasn't enough room in the press release to do so. I then told him that was patently unfair because most people would never click through (myself included) and so all we would get is this idiotic statement about parents only being parents if they had a biological connection.  He again said "absolutely not!"  At which point I told him he was looney and hung up!  Feel free to call him yourself though.  You'll probably get as much of a kick out of it as I did!

j.

too funny
That's funny Jonathan.

I don't know how, but I missed that this was just the press release.

I am now more stunned than before.  This is a distillation of his larger thesis on Marey and Heather and same-sex parenting?  I am truly stunned.

Electricity's for light bulbs!

[ Parent ]
Ugh...he makes my skin crawl
Here's the link to his "clarification" as to what and who real parents are.

http://www.igroops.c...

[ Parent ]
yeah -- he makes my skin crawl too
Ummm, gee Jonathan thanks for that clarfication.

I'm *THRILLED* to know that *I,* an adoptive (and biological) parent in a hetero marriage am a "REAL" parent.

So just let me get this "straight" (so to speak).  I earn the "Stephen Bennett Ministries parent approval" because I'm in a heterosexual marriage.  But my friends that are adoptive (single) moms, or moms that are single by choice (pregnant, out of wedlock, don't want to marry the sperm donor for whatever) do *NOT* win the "Stephen Bennett Ministries Parent Approval."

Geez, I guess I'll have to "Lord" (so to speak) that over them.

[ Parent ]
Call me crazy
But his "clarification" looks more like a mad dash to backpedal to me.  It doesn't change the fact that he tried to say that the "REAL" parents were the "BIOLOGICAL" parents.  He's just now trying to add that there are ways for certain people (I'm sure he gets to choose who they are) can become "REAL" parents without being a biological parents.

Of course, all this talk about "REAL" parents tends to remind me of the "Real Scotsman" logical fallacy.

[ Parent ]
Jonathan gets the butch award for calling Stephen Bennett!
Be proud of it, m'friend.  You earned it the hard way!

[ Parent ]
Fee-yock.
She may act like a parent, she may treat the baby as a parent, she may love this baby with all of her heart, but in this reality we all live in, Heather Poe is NOT the baby's real parent.

I guess step-parents and anyone seeking adoption, then, are also not real parents.

I'm so very glad this shitstain is clearly not listening to his own babble. He's presenting his arrogance in a beautifully intolerant fashion -- and will lose the attention of all but a few drooling nitwits.

Blogwhoring @ http://indigestible.nightwares.com/

Both parents, Father Figure,Bio Daddy,
  Nothing will satisfy these people.

Years ago it was argued that children need both parents, ok, Samuel has two.  Mary and Heather.

When hetro parents divorce, the children needed a Father Figure.  So Heather might be just that, I have no clue.

Now children need the Bio Daddy?  What next will they use to frame an arguement?

And all the while, they overlook the need for a Loving Family!!!

If I make sense? it was quite by accident.

Full Moon??
What is there a frekin full moon today.  This wonk comes out with this drivel, Bush says that we may be in Iraq for the next "50 years", and Lieberman shows up in an ill fitting flak (yes to the "other old fool" I spelled it right)in Bagdad saying "Everything is getting better". Talk about "spittle" I'm running around the house tonite wanting to impeach everybody. It would be time for the liquor cabinet if we had one.

50 years in Iraq?
Relax.

Let's follow Bennett's reasoning and all is solved.

Bennett wrote: "While this little innocent child Samuel David Cheney deserves every fighting chance at life,...."

Since this child is half-biologically-parented, why not let him make himself useful by fighting for the next 50 years in Iraq?  This way, everyone wins.  Mommy Heather will make money off of Halliburton stock, for what the Army destroys, Halliburton can rebuild.  Heather can then use that money to buy more sperm.  She can inseminate herself to make more half-parent babies, which can further the Half-Hundred Year War in Iraq.  That way, no God-blessed, two-parent true babies will be imperiled and profligate lesbians will finally be the walking wombs that women are meant to be.

[ Parent ]
That didn't help
I was thinking some wingnut might think that was a good idea.

[ Parent ]
Bennett is right
Heather Poe has absolutely no legal relationship to Samuel in Virginia, and the state's courts have shown every indication that she would be denied any claim she might ever make to that effect in the future.  Second parent adoptions are not allowed.

Dick Cheney is apparently on record confirming that Heather is a "parent" only to the extent that Mary says she is--and that can change at any time.  We shouldn't pretend otherwise.

Given the GOP campaign to make sure that Heather--and all women in her position, ever, into the forseeable future--is prevented from having a legal relationship with Samuel, the WH web site's glib photo caption is galling and hypocritical.  It's yet another example of the same shit-on-the-gays-but-pretend-we-don't-hate-them attitude.

"Our Liberties We Prize and Our Rights We Will Maintain" -- Iowa state motto

Sometimes you awe me, Sportin' Life
Just admiring your very smart comment.

[ Parent ]
I just have a knack...
...for seeing the negative, I think.  :-(

"Our Liberties We Prize and Our Rights We Will Maintain" -- Iowa state motto

[ Parent ]
I'm afraid to admit to agreeing with Mr. Bennett.
He's right.  It takes two: a penis person and a vagina person and they must be the particular people who donated the particular gametes.  It's hard to do, but it's the right thing to do: we must outlaw divorce.  All formerly married people have 24 hours to rejoin.  Stragglers will be shot.

Those who don't pretend to be happy about this will be pumped fulla Prozac and full body Novocaine...for the sake of the children.

And since gametes are so precious, women who menstruate and men who masturbate, thus wasting those unborn half babies, will be shot.  Then hung.  Then kicked.

Yay, marriage!

Yay, children!

Just like...
"She has NO biological connection to the child whatsoever"

Just like you have no connection to reality whatsoever.

Kat

>^..^<

Just a thought..
Some straight couples who cannot conceive  use the infertile person's sibling as a surrogate or donor.

Suppose the sperm donor is Heather Poe's brother. Then she would have a biological connection to the child although she would technically be the child's aunt and may or may not have "some" right's to the child if they were to break up.

Just another thought.....
Suppose it was Heather's egg that was fertilized and placed in Mary's womb.....

You can lead a fool to knowledge, but you can't make him think.

[ Parent ]
sure benett would have more than enough to say about that too

[ Parent ]
does sometimes gay Stephen
does "sometimes gay" Stephen make Concerned Women of America fag hags?

it would explain SO MUCH!

I guess Stevie didn't get the message....
...The last time I heard Dr. Laura--which was admittedly a while ago--she said that a childs parents were the people who raised the child, not the people who might have contributed the egg and sperm.

BTW, has anyone else noted the fact that, although CWA's main spokesperson is a woman, most of the other people associated with the organization seem to be men?  Some of us call it the Confused Women in America.

To the person upstream who used the word "flak," yes that was its original spelling.  It's an abbreviation for the German word FLugAbwehrKanone, which translates to "anti-aircraft gun."

I wonder what Stephen (and the law) would think...
...of a woman who gives birth to her partner's baby.  Like if the egg is fertilized outside of Mom 1 and implanted inside of Mom 2?

Would he consider the mom that gestated for 9 months just a "baby oven" and not a real parent?

Or would he consider the genetic material mom just a "gene donor"?

"To be nobody but yourself in a world which is doing its best day and night to make you like everybody else means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight and never stop fighting." -E.E. Cummings

So if.......
it is impossible for two people of the same sex to procreate, is it really possible for an invisible imaginary friend that lives in the sky to procreate with a woman by simply saying to her " you are now pregnant"?
