The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."
He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior."
(CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)
Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego)."Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008
Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:
A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist." (Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)
"A nutty lesbian blogger." (MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)
Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

Grey's Anatomy one-man bad PR wrecking crew cast member Isaiah Washington has been told that his contract will not be renewed for next season. From TV Guide Editors' blog:One insider, who requested anonymity due to the sensitivity of the situation, speculated that the decision was likely due only in part to the T.R. Knight homophobic slur scandal and the subsequent fallout. "There was a pattern of problematic behavior going back before he used the F-word," says my spy. "I imagine [his dismissal] was the result of all of that."
Washington's rep, Howard Bragman, confirmed the news, adding that his client was informed by Grey's executive producer Shonda Rhimes earlier today that he was not being invited back to the show. In a statement, Washington, referencing the iconic line from Network, said, "I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore." (He's kidding... I think.) The Grey's Anatomy message boards are flaming in all directions. Threads include: "The black guy get screwed again" to I AM PRO-GAY but....
I really don't understand the controversy -- in most workplaces you can be canned for repeated disruptive behavior, and certainly for outbursts for harassing language toward a colleague. The harassment policy of Walt Disney Company, which owns ABC (the show is produced by ABC Studios): The Walt Disney Company's policy prohibits employees from harassing any other employee, guest or other person in the course of the company's business for any reason prohibited by law, including, but not limited to, race, religion, color, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, age, marital status, covered veteran status, mental or physical disability, pregnancy, or any other basis prohibited by state or federal law. The fact that abusive language is tolerated in many workplaces, even those with harassment policies, is another matter. That has to do with politics and power differential between the parties involved. Sorry to say, egregious behavior is often tolerated when the party is considered too talented and productive to lose, critical to the operation, or is backed by powerful forces within the organization.
Rhimes made the assessment that cutting her losses with Washington was the best call for her show, regardless of the political fallout. It had to be pretty bad on that set. |
