Blend-o-licious endorsements...

The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

Christian Exodus leader ready to move to the new 'homeland' of SC

by: Pam Spaulding

Mon Jun 11, 2007 at 19:00:00 PM EDT

You folks in the Palmetto state better roll out the red carpet for Cory Burnell. He's ready to officially set up the Christian Exodus state. (OneNewsNow):
The leader of a small group that ultimately wants to secede from the United States and form a Christian republic is preparing to move to the South Carolina county his organization has picked as a good base of operations.

Cory Burnell, leader of Christian Exodus, said he has found a job and is ready to move his family and operations by July from California to Anderson, in the state's northwest corner.

His family, which includes his wife and three children, will join more than a dozen other like-minded families already living in the Upstate region of South Carolina. Burnell said he expects another two dozen families in his movement to move to the area by 2008.

Christian Exodus aims to claim a voice in the South Carolina state government, and eventually secede from the United States to form its own separate Christian republic.

At that rate of "growth," none of us will be alive to see the takeover of the state of South Carolina. If I'm wrong and the political winds change, I'll definitely set up a t*tty bar on the southern border of my state of NC to serve all the fundies on Saturday night (who will pray the sin away on Sunday, of course).

probably asking too much...
But wouldn't it have been wiser to locate this new "nation" in a coastal area so they're not landlocked and surrounded by the "enemy" on all sides?

Also, I'm glad he found a job!  I'm sure it took a long time.

Oops!  I forgot wise and fundies don't belong in the same sentence.....

Pam, the smart business model...
...is to set up both the t*tty bar and the church.  You get double profits from each sin that way.

"Our Liberties We Prize and Our Rights We Will Maintain" -- Iowa state motto

Even better...
Instead of collection plates, how about lap dances at the pews?

[ Parent ]
Hot damn...a lap dance
THAT is the gospel truth!

I was thinking
complimentary businesses.  T*tty bar for the wives and "manly massage" parlors for the hubbies.  You think The Haggard One will join them?  He knows lots about the business end of it all - actually, both ends of it...  Also, I hear he's available.

90's redux?
smells a little branch davidian to moi.

I was thinking...
more along the lines of Jim Jones.

Kandahar, SC
It looks like a stronghold of the American Taliban.  I thought Ave Maria, FL (from the guy who brought you crappy pizza) was bad, but this is worse.

Someone escaping the culture war does not deserve hatred
Anti-Christian bigotry is like any other bigotry......its wrong.  Those who hate discrimination against any sector of our society should not give a green light to the hatred and loathing of Christians.  Itis hypocrisy.

Because those who are liberal can't stand opinions that do not jive with their own, this comment may never see the light of day.

Proud to be a Liberal AND
Proud to be a Liberal AND able to tolerate dissenting opinions.

Lucky you Pam!
The new "homeland" is your neighbor to the south!  What happened to New Hampshire?  Weren't they considering that joint at one time?

I have a new suggestion.  How about Saudi Arabia, or Iran?

apparently MS and AL
Lost out. Look at the archive for Christian Exodus. They were grandly planning a 40,000 fundie exodus.

[ Parent ]
whoops
Here's the link about MS and AL.

[ Parent ]
Different bunch
The folks going to New Hampshire are the Free State Project (http://www.freestate...).  They focus more on libertarianism.

[ Parent ]
And the idea of Pam setting up a t*tty bar
has me wondering about the future of our (once) great nation for sure. :-)

Don't ever get a lesbian pissed off.

Have an entire Strip Shopping Center
t*tty bar at one end, d*ck bar at the other end, Adult Book Store and a Trader Joes in the middle. Also offer plenting of parking in the rear.

[ Parent ]
It'll never work
You can't have a Trader Joe's with plenty of parking.

Endorse The Idea
I think that we should endorse and encourage the idea...  just as long is there is a way out for those people who don't want to stay.  Each part of the country would be better if the craziest of the crazy got up and moved.

A man after my own heart
Exactly what I was thinking. Isolate the loonies from the rest of society. These people ought to be commemorated for their self-sacrifice: Pam, make sure these people get the absolute best wall pads available.

What do the current residents think?
The folks who have lived there for years would probably have a lot to say about a group of upstarts who think they can come in and take over.  My husband's family has been in upstate South Carolina for nearly 300 years,  I sincerely doubt, for example, that my father-in-law would be sanguine to the Christian Exodus folks trying to walk in and take over.

Besides, I would hate to see a nice place like that turn into a theocracy.  Isn't there some strip of arid desolation that they can infest?

your questions
as to your 1st question, it's a really good one.  i'd like to hear from the locals too.

as to the second question, yes: salt lake city. ;)

Almost tempted to ask
We are going down for a family reunion this summer.  I'm almost tempted to ask my inlaws what they think.  :-)

[ Parent ]
The locals, you mean Bob Jones University??
Of course there is are the progressive colleges near there also, like Furman.  That area could go either way politically.  People are tired of the charlatans promoting religion.  Senator Lindsay Graham, is a big ole mo.

Make alot of noise. Life is short.

[ Parent ]
Most of the folks there aren't nuts
My husband (who grew up in Pickens County) says that Furman is more representative of the area than Bob Jones.

Also, while most folks are conservative politically, they are pretty ornery about outsiders coming in and trying to run things.  I think that the Christian Exodus leadership will be in for a bit of surprise when they try to grab power.

The Nuts Utopia Dream of SC will Peter Out
similar to these 2 groups:
1) Twelve Tribes of Isreal, Hippies in 1960's CA, Found Jebus, then Mustard Seeds in TN, now retreated to VT.
http://www.twelvetri...
2) The Farm - also Hippies in 1970's CA, bought 1700 acre farm in Middle TN, a few are still hanging on 30 years later.
http://www.thefarm.o...

not so sure about that
hippies by definition were not active in the political system.  these exodus people sound like the epitome of civic engagement.  a very different thing.  their fate rests on two things: bringing in or converting enough followers who vote, and chasing out or cowing the locals who don't agree with them.  there is no parallel to hippie movements in that.

Thank God AL lost out
Thank God AL lost out ... I guess we're too liberal over here for their tastes.  Um, and anyway, we're already waaaay too full up with fundies of so many denominations already.

that makes me wonder...
if there are already fundies in the region, maybe we'll get to see a fundie war.  you know that the local fundigelicals are not going to want to play b*tch to the immigrating ones, who clearly are planning to be the alpha males.  yeah, this could get real fun.  popcorn futures are soaring.

Real fun would be...
...Topeka Kansas with the Westboro bunch.

If I make sense? it was quite by accident.

[ Parent ]
OOOH, OOOH!
I want to sell general admission tickets to that one!  I'll subcontract the popcorn sales, though.

[ Parent ]
Problem with the t*tty bar is that...
...under current federal regulations, if the hearty re-settlers were to actually secede, they would need valid US-recognized passports in order to get to your titty-bar.  It's doubtful that they would have the wherewithall to produce passports that would meet US requirments.

Slightly of topic---
BUT,

I'm wondering about Pam's motives on the t*tty bar.

Would she really be opening it up to point out the hypocricy and make money from the wingers?

OR--------------

Would she be opening it up so that she could work in a "REALLY FUN" place with lots of eye candy?

With any kind of luck,
I'll be back in Arizona by then.
