Blend-o-licious endorsements...

The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

GOP cornucopia of carnal scandal

by: Pam Spaulding

Can you believe this string of nonsense?

Update on McCain campaign Florida co-chairman busted

"I'm not in anyway associated with that they are saying, this is disgusting."
-- Florida Rep. Bob Allen on the "very big misunderstanding" and "gross mistake" of his arrest at a Titusville park after asking a male undercover cop if Allen could blow him for $20
UPDATE: Scott from Reality Cubed passed Bob Allen's police report along, from Broward for Change. It's priceless; I'm not sure where the misunderstanding is in the report. Click to enlarge.

[The officer: "I was standing against the far wall of the stall. Allen closed the door behind him and stood against it. I said "what's up" and Allen said "Hi." Allen then said "this is kind of a public place isn't it." I said "do you have somewhere else where we can go?" Allen said "How about across the bridge it's quite [sic] over there." Allen engaged me in a conversation in which he agreed to pay me $20.00 in order to perform a "blow job" on me."]

Joe.My.God has been following the political antics of Rep. Allen for a while; I'll share just one kicker from his pad.

Laugh #1: Rep. Allen is the author of failed Florida House Bill #1475, the "Lewd and Lecivious Behavior Act" which would have made public masturbation in the presence of another adult illegal, whether the other adult consented or not. Florida statutes already cover such behavior for when a minor is present and the bill died in committee in two months ago. I'm pretty sure Rep. Allen was violating #1475 when he offered to blow that cop, doncha think? Lucky for him it didn't pass!
Surf over and read the rest (protect your keyboards from spewage). Continue on and see what The General has to say about Allen's "little soldier."

Also, Mike Rogers over at PageOneQ reports on Allen's voting record and ties to McCain:

Bob Allen (R) was appointed Florida co-Chairman of the McCain campaign in March. At the time, McCain said he was proud of the support he received from Allen and that Allen and his three co-chairs were "respected leaders in their communities and have real experience wrestling with the important issues of our day."

... PageOneQ has obtained information regarding Allen's voting record and ratings by advocacy organizations. Between 2003 and 2006 Allen voted with the Christian Coalition over 90% of the time. Allen has been endorsed by the Florida Right to Life Committee and this year he voted to impose a 24-hour waiting period on third-trimester abortions.

More after the jump...

I had some Freeper reaction to Allen's arrest, but the free speech advocates at Free Republic pulled the thread.

Sympathy for the devil (in diapers?)

The Family Research Council's Tony Perkins on his philandering friend David Vitter:

The statement by my friend and former colleague, Louisiana Senator David Vitter, was very disappointing. He admitted to a "serious sin" in a statement he released to the press on Monday, prior to news reports revealing that his phone number appeared on a long list of client's numbers of the now infamous DC Madam, Deborah Jeane Palfrey.

...While I commend him on assuming personal responsibility and working to make things whole in his life, I cannot defend David's behavior. Adultery is a serious matter that affects not only the individuals involved but families and the well being of the entire community. Voters have the right to consider issues like this when they assess the character of an elected official.

Having said that, the American people have shown themselves to be very forgiving toward a public official who admits their failures and takes redemptive steps.

Do you think he felt the same way when Bill Clinton was being whipped by the right for his indiscretions? Just asking. In the too much information department, Vitter's "Lousiana family values" universe is spinning out of control as even more fantastic allegations keep on coming. From Your Right Hand Thief, via blogenfreude:
We're talking about, among other things, Diaper Fetishism. That's right folks, according to a trusted inside source, Vitter was well known among other Canal Street Brothel patrons to like diapers as well as other bizarre "fetishes".
Argh.

* GOP Pundit Outed In DC Madam Scandal.

The phone number for GOP political operative/conservative pundit, John (Jack) M. Burkman Jr. - Principal J.M. Burkman & Associates, Arlington, VA - appears in the database of phone records of the 'DC Madam.'  From the phone logs: 2006-01-15 18:44 1.00
Burkman was a talking head defending the Coultergeist when she attacked the 9/11 widows on Scarborough Country.

N.C. legislator resigns after misconduct allegations surface

Yeah, and the hit parade continues for the GOP-ers, though in this case it's hard to tell what he did, but Stanly County Republican Rep. David Almond abruptly resigned today after a personnel complaint was lodged with the Speaker's office alleging "serious improper behavior." Almond was vice chairman of the House committee on children, youth and families, btw.

"A complaint has been filed against me with the Speaker. I intend to defend myself against these charges in whatever forum may be appropriate," Almond said in a written statement released by House GOP leaders.

"In the meantime, I have concluded that it is in the best interest of my family and the constituents of my district to resign from the General Assembly."

Hackney said he received "a personnel complaint" involving Almond last week, but said state and federal confidentiality laws bar him from giving any details.

...Almond's resignation resolves the matter "to the satisfaction of the complainant" and as far as the House's authority is concerned, Hackney said. He said the matter would not trigger an ethics complaint, but he didn't know if a criminal complaint had been filed.

How hasty was the departure? Check this out.
The State House wasted no time making changes. His name plate was removed from the voting board. All that remained on his desk was a bowl of Almond Joy candy bars.

Always struck me as a pants-pooper.  Probably not so much of a fetish as a necessity.

Probably quite common among some of these Repubs........

So infantile......

FREEPER DISCUSSION IS BACK ...
The discussion among the FreeperNUTS is back: http://www.freerepub...

Excerpt:

To: Alter Kaker

Rep. Allen gave a news conference this evening and vigorously denies the whole incident. Now I?m thinking maybe we should give him the benefit of the doubt. It seems highly unlikely that a man in a happy marriage and with kids and a legislative record as strong as him would risk it all for something like toilet sex. We should wait until the legal process finishes. The reason I say this is because I spoke to my brother-in-law who lives in the district and he insists that Allen is totally honorable and upstanding. There is a chance this whole thing is a frame-up by some militant homosexuals (who hate Allen for his family-values). Anyways, just my two cents worth.

Here is the press conference: http://www.local6.co...

Christian Family with Marshmallows
Those Freeper comments are pretty severe. After you read their comments, you just know that if the Freepers had to the power to, they would stuff every one of us into ovens and gather around with their families to roast marshmallows.

[ Parent ]
Frame Up
Wait a minute--are you saying that the militant homosexuals took over the local police department, substituted their own kind and that we have an invasion of the Body Snatchers deal going on there?

Totally upstanding?  How would anyone in his district know what he was like in his private life--likely his wife didn't even know.

Wasn't Vitter upstanding?  Look at his campaign ads.

But these upstanding people tend to do a lot of lying down, especially if they're Republicans.

ok, here'a thought...
I am glad Bob Allen got snagged by the police, because he is, like all the fag-bashing, womb-controlling repubs, the worst kind of hypocrite.  However, I don't think anyone should be busted for offering to pay for or sell sexual favors.  Yet...on the third hand, I'm not sure I want to be walking into areas unawares where public sex is happening.

So it all got me thinking...my city has been careful to build really nice, huge fenced in areas in most parks for people to let their dogs run off leash.  Why not create similar zones for anonymous park sex?  Most large urban parks have unofficial cruise areas anyway.  Why not make it official and designate the boundaries so that those who wish to go "off leash" can, and those who wish to not have their crotches sniffed, as it were, can not worry about wandering into the humpin zone.

Am I really off base here, or founding the next wave of city planning?

Plain and simple
Kids are the majority of people at any park.  Parents and most kids object to adult men standing at a urinal with an erection waiting for a blow job..

Make alot of noise. Life is short.

[ Parent ]
Um.
There are plenty of parks where kids are no a majority of people.  Even if they were, why should adults have to conform their behavior to that appropriate for children?  If we are going that route, then perhaps we should ban cursing or rap music from parks.  While there is no question Allen is a hypocrite, it remains silly for it to be against a law for two men to have a conversation arranging for sex even if money is to be paid in consideration.

I prefer to think he is a hypocrite for espousing absurd views that he doesn't live up to... Others seem to think he is a hypocrite for not living up to the reasonable rules he sets out for others. Either way is bad.

Republicans
Rupublican Neocons are all imbecilic, aging, wheezing syphilitic pathological creeps, dirty old men that smoke Cuban cigars and go on child sex slave vacations in third world nations while on oxycontin between snorting viagra and having secret affairs with gay sex workers. When they're not spouting homophobic bullshit or writing breathlessly idiotic, fact free columns in major newspapers, clinking crystal tumblers brimming with $38,000 a bottle bourbon with the Skull and Bones / AEI classmates at grand elite socials, getting drunk and shooting people in the face, brazenly granting trillion dollar contracts to their former companies, raping teenaged boys in Texas Prisons, chronically sexually harrassing their female employees, they're out doing what they do best: ravaging the life savings of thousands of people and committing genocide. All this while being ardently fawned over by the liberal media. These revolting sub-human colostomatic shitbags of filth and perversion should all be in GITMO right now receiving sex changes from Cuban doctors, only to spend the rest of their lives as a drag show touring East African nations. Fuck impeachment, I want justice!

That about sums it up,
I only disagree with the sex change operations, Just give them orchies, and force them in drag.

If I make sense? it was quite by accident.

[ Parent ]
Being feminine or female is not a punishment
While I certainly feel that some righteous indignation is perfectly fine and all surrounding the neocons and the right wing in general, I really feel like I need to say here that I don't think intimating that forcing femininity or a parody of femininity on people is really in any way justified. It's not a punishment to be feminine, or female!

[ Parent ]
well ...
yeah I'm wrong for that. But it would be for them.

From his own website:
Enjoy everyone.  I found this on Bob Allen's Florida House of Representative's website under biographical information:

City of Residence:
  Merritt Island
Occupation: Economic Development/Education
Spouse: Beth Elaine Allen
Child(ren): Tia
Education: Valencia Community College, A.A.
Religious Affiliation: Protestant

RECREATIONAL INTEREST: WATER SPORTS

You've got to love it!!

It's sad
He has a wife, a child, not to mention his own desperation to have to stand at a urinal and offer 20 bucks to a stranger to suck his dick.
It's fun to make light of the situation because he is a GOP hypocrite like all the rest, but the family are real people with feelings.

Make alot of noise. Life is short.

Re: family are real people with feelings
Who'd probably have no problem at all pushing our faces in the dirt because we're gay; just like their hypocritical, slime bucket, family member has enjoyed doing in the past.  Sorry, but I'll save my tears for the next gay hate crime victim's family!

[ Parent ]
No one's asking you to cry for him
How about simply recognizing that homophobia and staying in the closet harms not only gay people but their families as well? That's something we all agree on, right?

[ Parent ]
Re: No one's asking . . .
Absolutely we can agree!  But, Charley6 made it sound like I should feel sorry for Allen AND/OR his family, which I don't and won't.  As I said before, I'll save my sympathy (and tears) for a hate crime victim's family; not the family of a self-righteous wing nut that got caught with his pants down (so to speak).

[ Parent ]
Glad he got caught
But in a way it is sad.  I try to have a humanist objective point of view, but it doesn't mean anyone else should.  It's the big GOP machine I am against, not deluded individuals who make less than $25,000 a year.

Make alot of noise. Life is short.

[ Parent ]
Humanists
The GOP is the party of the Normative: everybody should behave in certain set ways.

The Democratic Party is Humanistic: more willing to look at exceptions and be inclusive.

Closet cases and others dealing with their own shame, guilt, and hidden desires drift to a party that seems to offer them hope via control of their impulses.  It seems a good place to hide.  But of course, when they're exposed, the gap between rhetoric and reality is crushing.

I do feel sorry for Allen and his fmaily in the sense that he is so miserable and screwed up and he's hurting them.  But I doubt he would feel sorry for me when I told him what it feels like being married in Canada but "illegal" in Michigan.

It IS sad
But, these people are dealing with it in the worst way possible. I don't know what their stories are, I can't say, but their an extreme danger to the rest of us.  It is sad that we can become our own worst enemies (Ted Haggard, ad nauseam).

I myself was quite a closet case for a while, even to myself, and I never, ever bashed gays or anything like that. It was the most frightening thing in the world to me. So I don't quite get where they're coming from lashing out at their own kind; bottom line, they reproducing the same hate and repression in other gays. They're dangerous.

[ Parent ]
My family are real, and they have feelings too -- and the Allens and Vitters --
have done their best to change the law of the land to insult and stigmatize us.

The Allen and Vitter families probably join hands and say grace at every meal, asking God to destroy and humiliate the "homosexuals", or maybe make them all die of AIDS.

You know what?

I relish every tear shed by the Vitter and Allen families over this.

I revel in their pain.

I luxuriate in it.

Their suffering is the only thing in their sheltered, pampered lives that will give them the tiniest inkling of the devastation and ruin that their hatred has wrought on my family, and millions like us.

I'm supposed to feel sympathy for the Allen and the Vitter family?

TO HELL WITH THOSE RANCID, BIBLE-THUMPING DINGLEBERRIES.

white fat slob
If Allen was a cute buffed-up black man with a wife and family, and drawing his same low salary, you wouldn't be so hard on him.

You're right -- a white guy just can't catch a break in this country --
Redneck rights now!

Don't worry, the Supreme Court agrees with you -- they've already started fixing the problem.

[ Parent ]
It's probably the other way around...
He has a wife, a child, not to mention his own desperation to have to stand at a urinal and offer 20 bucks to a stranger to suck his dick.

It is more probable that he would be offering the dick US$20 to such him off.

As far as the wife is concerned, she probably was aware of it, but refused to acknowledge it.  The child?  Well, nobody in the USofA really cares particularly much about their progeny.

As a side note, just why would this sex issue be an issue if they themselves hadn't made it one and stigmatized others for acting differently than they?  That is the real issue.

[ Parent ]
no, I think they had it right
I think in male/male prostitution, the one doing the sucking is usually the one doing the paying. I was surprised when someone first told me that, but I've certainly heard it before.

I agree with you that they are the ones creating the stigma. They think they are dirty and should be punished, and if only the consequences are severe enough, they can keep themselves from doing it. The pull for sex is stronger than the desire not to be punished, though.

[ Parent ]
Allen said the behavior was "disgusting"
Upon coming out of the police station, Allen said he would never be involved in something so disgusting. We are just taking him at his word.

[ Parent ]
Great something I have in common with Bob
We went to the same college.

On another note, I was reading the report and Bob said he wanted to go across the river instead in the park. So, in a sense at least he was wanting to not be in the public park. It's just the place where he picked up his tricks. It's reeks that he has done this on more than one occasion.

Former Tricks could come forward

"A blow job from Bob Allen"
The next topic of 'This American Life' on NPR.

[In your best radio voice (i.e., Ira Glaser)]

(sic and apologies for mismatched metaphors throughout)

Darkness decends upon Okeefenokee Family Park, south Florida, early in January, like a aged, withered, patriarch passing away in the presence of a tearful family. I awoke at my usual rising time, 7PM, and headed off to the public park as the families were exiting, children in tow, like penitents leaving a cathedral on Ash Wednesday.

I parked my 1984 Nissan pickup near the rest area, turned off the ignition, and waited. My weathered and tattered wife beater, nearing the end of its life, was chafing my shoulders (grown flaccid with a decade long descent into booze and pills, smoking, and anonymous encounters) as a snake might, shedding it's skin, I waited with marked anticipation.

I watched for the police, but they usually are gone by 8:30, and besides, they are almost always in the restroom. You can always spot the pigs, with their awkward gait, the tight clothes displaying an unwarranted overconfidence unbefitting their flabby physiques. It doesn't take a genius.

After some time, under conver of the darkest night and fog, a large man approached my truck. This was no pig - the slight bulge in his pants was obvious, to the extremely observant anyway. Slovenly, unshaven, balding, middle aged. Perhaps a 60" waist, on a non fat day. Probably the married type, I thought to myself - the crucifix on his neck was prominently, if not lovingly, displayed  on a bedding of graying neck and chest hair inside his half open Oxford shirt.

He didn't waste any time. Approaching my vehicle, he uttered an obnoxious 'Hey, I love to fuck ass' and unzipped his pants. I rolled my eyes. As if.

'Twenty bucks' he said.

'For what?' I inquired. 'Are you fuckin stupid?' he retorted, angrily. He was drunk.

I looked down and ...

Gee, Tim. I clicked on your link, but I couldn't find the rest of the story.

I hate to tell you, but...
...I lost interest in stories like this a little less than a decade ago, when it was reported that Matt Glavin, then head of the right-wing Southeastern Legal Foundation was arrested in a park in suburban Atlanta for fondling a male park ranger.  For the second time in about two years.

I was laughing about it on right-wing message boards for weeks.  Are these people really so stupid as to do the same thing again and again?  The answer is, obviously, yes.

How and why are we supposed to feel sympathy for these people?
I feel the same why moron.
At the end of the day, David Vitter and Bob Allen have a family to go home to.  Not all of us can say the same thing.  All because of THEIR views of homosexuality.  SUPPORT THE UAFA.  If you don't know what I am talking about go to www.immigrationequality.org

(Sympathy for) the Devil's Advocate
Okay, when you read the police report excerpts, isn't this entrapment?  The cop is the one who speaks first, and thus could be seen as inviting contact, since chatting in public restroom's is not typical male-male behavior.  I can see the Rep's defense lawyer at work. . .

good question Lev.  but i'm wondering if >1 instance of Bob looking into the cop's stall counts as initiating the incident.

What will Peter LaBarbara Say?
LaBarbara's photos of IML included a photo of a man in diapers.  What will he say about Vitter?

Allen sounds like a sex addict
Allen sounds like a sex addict, I've known a few over the years, and not oly do they constantly think of everything sexual, and talk about sex incessently, they cruise parks, t-rooms...and i thnk the danger of being caught is a big part of the excitement level they crave. BTW. catching and punishing these folks won't change their behaviors a bit, they will risk anything for their addiction.

Just goes to show ya...
those who protest the most have the most to hide about their own personal life. Divert, divert!

As for Senetor Vitter....Sorry, but God hasn't forgiven him. I had a talk with God this morning and was told that it would be a cold day in hell before Vitter was forgiven, especially for lying about God forgiving him. In fact, Vitter lied about asking God forgiveness in the first place. The nerve of some people!

"Yeah. Sylvia-Louise. You know, with a hyphen?" - Barbara Streisand in What's Up Doc?

God's forgiveness
I do wonder when people say "God forgave me."  How do they know?  It can't be verified independently, so how can they even be sure?  What if it's actually the Devil pretending to be God?  Or what if they misheard what God said?  :-)

In the dictionary
In the dictionary under TROLL they have Bob's picture.

There ain't enough viagra on the planet to get a d*ck hard around this guy. My skin crawls just seeing his picture, and I'm sure smell-i-vision of fat sweaty slobbering Bob crawling around the nastiest of nasty restrooms wouldn't add to the experience.

Vitter and Allen
It's not that the Goddess has forgiven you, at least not yet.
She hasn't stopped laughing that long, so far.

Surprisingly Common Behavior
A few years ago, I served on a jury for a case involving a blackmail ring that targeted men who frequent parks and public restrooms looking for sex.

We heard testimony from police and several experts about this kind of behavior. It is much more common than most people realize.

In the case I heard, a transexual prostitute (I'm NOT implying that trans people are prostitutes -- it is just a fact of the case) employed teenage boys to lure victims in parks and restrooms. The boys would agree to have sex with the victim and then beat him up and steal his wallet. The ring victimized Mexican immigrants exclusively.

The prostitute would go to the victim's home or workplace and blackmail him. The men would pay thousands of dollars to keep from being exposed. This ring had hundreds of victims. I couldn't believe that there were so many men engaging in this type of behavior.

The Vice cop who testified said that there are over 100 arrests every year for this in our communities that total about 500,000 people. It takes place in parks, reststops, and shopping malls.

We also learned that most of the victims were married with children and had a steady job. The prostitute would threaten to go to the man's wife or his employer and tell all.

When you look for the bad in mankind, expecting to find it, you surely will.

- Abraham Lincoln.

Curious
I'm curious, Fritz. How did this ring finally get exposed and brought to trial?
