Blend-o-licious endorsements...

The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

N.C. pastor asks why religion is being used to deny marriage to gays and lesbians

by: Pam Spaulding

Tue Jul 17, 2007 at 17:30:00 PM EDT

Rev. Reggie Longcrier, pastor of Exodus Missionary Outreach Church in Hickory, N.C., submitted a question on marriage equality for the CNN's YouTube Presidential debate. It's a powerful, short and simple video.

While Longcrier's question could have been asked of all of the presidential candidates (save Gravel and Kucinich), he happened to direct the question to former N.C. Senator John Edwards because of his statement that he is unable at this time to "cross that bridge" to support marriage equality. His wife Elizabeth is waiting on the other side of bridge, of course, since she favors the right of gays and lesbians to marry.

Sen. Edwards has said his opposition to gay marriage has been influenced by his Southern Baptist background. We know religion was once used to justify slavery, segregation and women not being allowed to vote, all of which today are recognized as unconstitutional and socially and morally wrong. So why is it still acceptable to use religion to justify denying gay and lesbian American their full and equal rights.

Wow....
Elegance in simplicity.

Glad to see them stand up
As the religious right tries to smear the LGBT, they also smear those who support us.

  Thank you Rev. Reggie Longcrier.

If I make sense? it was quite by accident.

Exodus
I saw the name of the church and steeled myself for an anti-gay tirade.  So nice to see it being used in what I assume is the original Old Testament way.  Exodus from slavery.  Exodus from separation.  Exodus from disenfranchisement. Exodus from bigotry.  EXODUS FROM OPPRESSION!

Thank you!
Direct and to the point. Perfect. I'll be curious to see what Edwards says.

Elizabeth
Edwards had something very interesting and challenging to say over at Salon.
And I don't think that Christians who aren't engaged in a political campaign ever talk about [homosexuality]. They talk about poverty and other issues talked about in the Bible. But in churches, in political season, there's plenty of ginning up this issue.
And then there's this
I remember hearing [former GOP Sen. Rick] Santorum ranting about how homosexual marriage threatens heterosexual marriage. I could be wrong, but I think heterosexual marriage is threatened more by heterosexuals. I don't know why gay marriage challenges my marriage in any way.

Thanks
Thanks, Pam, for posting this.

Nu--what are you waiting for?
Okay, Edwards isn't there yet, but why?  I understand that he has some personal/religious qualms or difficulties getting to the point of believing in marriage equality, but why can't he see the public policy and civil rights issues which should have nothing to do with his private faith?  He's a man of vision (certainly more so than most of the candidates), so why is he still blinkered here?

Gay and Lesbian Marriages

Many cheers and support for same sex marriage.  That means right behind is legalizing Polygemy and allowing the same kind of freedom and acceptance if a person desires to marry their loving pet.  I love animals more than humans.  Pets are more reliable and loyal, they have the ability to love unconditionally all the way.

I also believe in today's times that it takes more than one partner to commit too.  Besides enjoying variety and avoiding boredom, most people cannot find someone that fits the full bill.  For those who believe and want Polygemy, they should have the legal right and freedom to marry more than one partner.  I will support them 100%.  It would finally make this world a better place to live in, without the hypocrites (who think they are the master of everyone's moral obligations) and the bigots (thinking they are better human beings than everyone else).

The steps have been slow to climb, but I see great progress for a higher realm on this planet.  This World we live in is evolving towards a paradise for all (I mean ALL) to enjoy.
