Blend-o-licious endorsements...

The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

I'm all over Dear Leader's Internets...

by: Pam Spaulding

Thu Jul 26, 2007 at 07:00:00 AM EDT

Just wanted to reveal this little surprise today --  I've been tapped to serve as guest blogmistress over at AMERICAblog for the next few weeks (John Aravosis will be away), injecting that blog with Blend flavor (mocha lattes and English breakfast teas all around!). I'll provide both original and cross-posted Blend content (edited for that general audience), much as I do over at Pandagon. My intro post will go up some time this AM.

It will present a good opportunity to expose a quite different voice over there. It will be interesting to see the feedback. What should I expect, folks?

Congrats!

I love both sites, so it will be great to see what you have to say while John is away!
Keep up the good work and know that there are many of us who read and love what you post each and every day.

Tom

Expect a lot of nutty people...
great blog, but some of the commentors are just plain loony.  I rarely read the comments to be honest as the blog itself is incredibly good.

Congrats

A great chance to show off your great style to a big audience.

I'm sure you can expect lots of commentary, lots of emails, lots of criticism.

What a treat!
I read both you and John daily. Best blogs out there. Congratulations. I hope he'll guest blog for you someday.

I like America Blog

I used to read it regularly - although it is just a little shrill for my taste.  I guess that the focus is different.  Here we vent our rage, but we also like to discuss some of our shared experiences from a variety of perspectives.  They do a lot more "action" - you know, "Look how vile this is, call this asshole until we win". And it works too, John Ara has chalked up a few very satisfying victories.

I am sure that you will be well-received, Pam. I mean, who doesn't like you? Besides, John talks you up all the time - in fact, I think that is how I first wandered into PHB.

What the hell was I doing in Oaxaca in 1992, on the eve of the Zapatista revolution?

Represent!
Pam, You're a genuine force of nature. Go tackle them internets. See you in Chicago for Yearly Kos!

look forward
to it.  AJ and Joe put up some great stuff over there.  I'm sure your voice will be appreciated.

Sometimes the threads turn into flame wars, but there are also some nice people who've always been welcoming when I've participated.  The open threads can be pretty fun.  It reminds me a bit of atrios's place, with the exception that talking about LGBT interests doesn't as strongly elicit the chirping crickets response.

Also, I think it's interesting that the site has someone in Europe posting early in the morning.  It adds a bit of a broader view and makes for more available reading.

Electricity's for light bulbs!

Go Pam
Oh thank GAWD I was sitting down when I read this.  A woman blogging over there? A woman of color, YEAH!!!! You go.

Hugs for Pam!
It's about time the guys invited you in.

Be ready for a lot of misogyny / trans bashing...

...from the "I'm a liberal, so I can yammer about 'Mann Coulter' and call Sen. Pat Roberts 'a big girl' as much as I want - no need to check my gender privilege here!" folks.

(I was one of the folks that he banned for daring to call out the sexism / misogyny of the 'big girl post'.)

banned....an honor I share....
There's no question that most of the writers and readers are standard issue white men, queer or not.

Good for you, Pam!
Shake them up over there.

LOL

yea, yea.. I'm really working... shh, don't tell the boss.

http://EQFL.org

I'm really thrilled
you two are my  favorite blogs-I usually go to John's first because it is first in my favorites list, but then I come to the blend.  I know you will add a voice that is missing there, and it should be a good fit.  As I said in my comment over there, take care of yourself and don't overdo
