Well, does this means that Bob Allen and Lindsey Graham now have ammunition to convince themselves that they are no longer at the bottom of the hypocrisy dung heap?

With all the Dirty details of folks who publicly promote "Family Values" with Hatred of the GLBT Community, denial of Equal Rights and then get caught in the act of doing otherwise. Seems the frequency of outing of these idiots is increasing. These stories hit mainstream media every week. It would be great to have all these stories in one place to show the World these folks are real fakes.

The MSM can no longer treat these cases as some kind of isolated abberation. There needs to be a comprehensive investigative piece into why so many Republicans are outwardly homophobic bastards while ravenously seeking out gay sex in toilets, porta potties, garbage dumps, and sewers. And it's not just closeted freaks. It is some kind of mental psychopathology. If you remember even out 'conservative' Andrew Sullivan while praising Bush and Cheney and demonizing gay men as "degenerate hairy backed-homos" and lecturing them on monogamy and ethics - was at the same time secretly placing anonymous ads (while HIV+) looking for bareback orgies and gang-bangs with black men. WTF is wrong with these Republican pod people?

The MSM will be afraid of being tarred as homophobic by--of all people--Michelle Malkin.  Any time this kind of story comes up or seems as if it might, the rightwing pundits and journos spin it as gay-bashing.  It would be hilarious if it weren't so sick.

Every self-assured Republican I have ever known in my life has had sadism as a prominent part of his mental makeup. And where there is sadism, there is always masochism.

These stories will only stop when the Republicans are in such total control of the police and the press that the stories cannot be published any longer.

JO was hysterical last night talking about Bob Allen's excuse: he was afraid of the big black men in te park, and that's why he offered to blow the cop for $20.  He did a list of "better" explanations, including, "Don't hit me, I have a penis in my mouth" and "I had tonsilitis and thought I saw a cough drop on that man's penis."  It was outrageous, and conversely brings to mind that classic from about a deacde ago in The Onion: http://www.theonion....

It does both

It's normative vs. humanistic: rules matter more than individuals.  And the normative ideology breeds cruelty and contempt directed outward and inward.  These people stake positions that leave no breathing room for others and themselves, that make no allowance for human difference, weakness, vulnerability.  Just watch Ann Coulter: disdain, contempt, sarcasm imbue everything she says.  She attacked 9/11 widows for revelling in their grief.  Pure contempt there.  The ugliness they express is paralleled by the emotional and psychological ugliness inside of them.  A friend lamenting their positions also lamented their persons: "Man, I would not want to be them evey morning."

Huh.

Well, it's obvious why Republicans are so devoted to keeping everyone in the closet. A sexually frustrated person generates enough energy to light Paris for a year (or maybe that's just my experience...). Anyway, keep all those queers miserably frustrated, and they'll have to pour out all the energy elsewhere -- like phonebanking! And letter stuffing! And "God Hates Fags" signwaving!

Frankly, it explains a lot of the Republican base, homo or hetero. Take away the sex (and/or make the sex a horrifyingly guilt-ridden experience), and the brain rots while the feet move.
