The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

Bush's war czar says the draft should be considered

by: Pam Spaulding

Sat Aug 11, 2007 at 14:00:00 PM EDT

Since the Bush Admin can't seem how to "win" in Iraq given its current boneheaded non-strategy (General Petraeus says we should be there for at least another decade), those Young Republicans of draft age better start worrying about this statement from Dear Leader's "War Czar," Lt. General Douglas Lute:
Frequent tours for U.S. forces in Iraq and Afghanistan have stressed the all-volunteer force and made it worth considering a return to a military draft, President Bush's new war adviser said Friday.

"I think it makes sense to certainly consider it,'' Army Lt. Gen. Douglas Lute said in an interview with National Public Radio's "All Things Considered.''

"And I can tell you, this has always been an option on the table. But ultimately, this is a policy matter between meeting the demands for the nation's security by one means or another,'' Lute added in his first interview since he was confirmed by the Senate in June.

It didn't take long for a response, this from Americans Against Escalation in Iraq.

Bush, of course, keeps insisting that a draft isn't necessary. Do you trust him?

The worries of young Republicans

They're not the ones who should be particularly concerned.  I have no doubt whatsoever that a new law establishing a draft would be politically feasible only if it included lots of exceptions and avoidance possibilities for the affluent and connected, regardless of party.  Working class folks of all colors are the ones who would end up being dumped into the little emperor's meat-grinding war of choice.

These days plenty of those young people, for instance white talk-radio listeners, might consider themselves aligned with the GOP.  But the wealthy, arrogant college students connected by breeding to the conservative movement--those insufferable people that come to mind when we hear the phrase "Young Republican"--would, I'm sure, find ways to continue fighting the good fight from behind their keyboards.  "Other priorities," you know.

"Our Liberties We Prize and Our Rights We Will Maintain" -- Iowa state motto

Do I trust him?
I wouldn't trust Mr Bush to walk my dog.

Why should my children die or be permanently disabled to support Bush's version of Vietnam?

I'm for the draft if there are no exemptions.

I'm 50, but I can drive a Humvee.  So can Barbara and Laura Bush.  I can bleed and die and have my legs amputated as well as a 19-year old.  Reinstate the draft with no exceptions and that would end the war.

Of course, as Sportin' wrote, they'll reinstate the draft so that chickenhawks don't have to go.  Mitt's boys won't go.  The Young Republicans won't go.  The old farts who watch Fox and wave the flag won't go.  It'll be the same poor folks, but more of 'em.

Start the draft now with the Bush twins and the Mitty boys.
You can't fight a prolonged war with an all volunteer force.  Our standing forces are all but falling out and our security is in question.

That's the way it will eventually presented.  And it will be true.

One more reason to impeach the butt wipe Bush.

Will gays be forced to serve when the draft comes?

This will be interesting...

I think the gay population just doubled.

And so did the
asthmatic population, the arthritic population, the almost-blind population, the sole support of family population, the high blood pressure population, etc., etc.

Make it a draft that exempts NO ONE!  Hey, if you're able to live outside the military, you can live inside the military.  (Unless you're in combat somewhere and then your chances of living go down somewhat.)

The Draft won't happen

The Democrats will continue to control Congress, and they know they'd be killing their entire future as a Party to re-establish the Draft.

Short of another major attack against the USA, there won't be a draft. If they ever would need to Draft, it should have ZERO excuses allowed for any able-bodied person, men, women, gay, straight, trans.

Draft? Bring it on!!

A draft is exactly what we need to get our youngsters off their asses and out on the streets to end this war. The future is about them and they are just too busy with their materialistic existences to even bother with stuff like voting or protesting. Harsh comment, I know... but once enough young Republicans get called up for service, there will be a REAL sea-change in this country. I say we give the President authorization to start a draft all by himself in the Defense Authorization bill that will be worked on in September. Make it a part of the troop-readiness amendment that calls for equal time out-of-combat as in-combat. That way he can start that draft without any debate in Congress. It would be wise to also specify that there will be NO exceptions or deferments of any kind if a draft is called for by the President.

Are you stoned?

"specify that there will be NO exceptions or deferments of any kind if a draft is called for by the President"

Have you forgotten who we are dealing with?  He, the Decider, and the new cons get what every they want.  Don't be naive enough to believe that they are going to allow the young new cons to die in THEIR war.

but they would have to

If, in the authorizing resolution, it states that there will ne no exceptions in any draft that might be called, then that's what would have to happen. But the point is to just put the possibility out there. You'll see alot of our youngsters get interested in politics real quick. And voter turnout will be HUGE. Unfortunately I don't see a better way to make people pay attention to what's happening in their name.

So who's naive?

Let's make it even more inclusive

Let's say anyone under age 55.  Kids who are draft age now were only 11 when Bozo was not elected to office.  Why should the burden be foisted on them only.

Watch the withdrawal start the following week.  With the impeachment hearings the week after.

Bring it On!

Call me a conservative jerk but I believe that most of America's young people are far too spoiled and haven't a clue as to what things like Respect, Responsibility and Gratitude really mean.  If we, like most country's on this planet, had manditory terms of service followed by a "stand-by" period (Reserves) I think we'd see a serious decline in crime as well as wastfulness, general acts of arrogance and cowardice.

The "Military" experience will force people to grow up a bit and understand what is and isn't really important in this world.  Something our spoilt nation seems to not be able to comprehind in that "they've" not seen what's really out there and how much we have that we treat horribly...even to the point of ingoring it and not using it... like VOTING.

Time in the Military or Peace Corp should be Required... end of story!  This should be especially true of any and all immigrants with those chosing the illegal route getting assigned the less graceful duty stations... helping them earn their rights vs. manipulating the laws so as to steal them and ultimately, take over this nation which they ARE invading... but that's another issue.

When it comes to public service -- required national service -- there are so many fronts upon which the draft idea could and should be applied, including Boarder Patrol and even some form of FEMA emergency response team.  It don't have to be 100% military but it does need to be a committment that is required with military-styled discipline and direction.

It's difficult for me to fully explain my intentions here in that they aren't are "cruel" as some will interpret them, but the "agenda" as it were, is to bring this nation's popular-mind back down to earth a bit so that some simpler things that can make many greater things happen, are brought back into place and made a part of our daily lives.
