Blend-o-licious endorsements...

The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

How will 'The Betray-Us' report go over?

by: Pam Spaulding

Mon Sep 10, 2007 at 10:18:46 AM EDT

With five percent of Americans saying (in a NYT/CBS poll)  they most trust the Bush administration to resolve the war, Gen. David Petraeus and Ambassador Ryan Crocker will plop their posteriors before Congress and warn against changes in Bush Iraq strategery. Since the Bush administration actually wrote the report, I'm sure it will be an epic performance of half-truths and slippery statements.  If only the seats were wired to give them a little jolt every time a lie comes out. We would see a lot of tap dancing.
"The reality is that, although there has been some mild progress on the security front, there is, in fact, no real security in Baghdad or Anbar province," said Sen. Joseph Biden, D-Del., a 2008 presidential candidate who chairs the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

Pennsylvania Sen. Arlen Specter, a moderate Republican, said he respected Petraeus' judgment but would not blindly follow it.

"We're going to look behind the generalizations that General Petraeus or anybody gives us and probe the very hard facts to see exactly what the situation is," Specter said. "As I've said in the past, unless we see some light at the end of the tunnel here, very closely examining what General Petraeus and others have to say, I think there's a general sense that there needs to be a new policy."

I think all that you need to know about the level of spin control is the fact that somehow Brit Hume got an "exclusive" interview wtih Petraeus and Crocker tonight to further massage the message.

Queen Lindsey Graham weighed in as well:

Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., said he trusts the military judgment of Petraeus and that it was foolish for Congress to try and second-guess commanders on the ground..."If politicians in Washington pick an arbitrary date, an arbitrary number to withdraw, it's not going to push Baghdad politicians. It's going to re-energize an enemy that's on the mat," he said.

Boehner
Oh Lordy, I hope the Democrats put up a candidate worth voting for so we can get this goober out of office.  I'd vote for just about anyone than Rep Helmet Hair, but the Dems are going to have put up someone who can do a little more than chew gum and walk at the same time.

Lies, Damned Lies, and The Petraeus Report

Just as many of us knew there were no WMDs in Iraq, and that Bush intended to go to war despite everything he and his minions said, and that the war would be a disaster, it's easy to foretell how the report will go over:

GOP and its "affinity" to use a Renaissance term, will praise it and him, say the surge is working, we need more time blahblahblah.

Dems will cower for the most part and wring their hands.

The MSM will take their rhetorical marching orders from the GOP.

The report itself, whether written or not, is utterly worthless, and like the utterly worthless Paris Hilton, will occupy the media for days of endless blathering.

The nitwits and liars rule

Just briefly tuned in to Happening Now (aka The Situation Room) and Wolf Blitzer is devoting most of the first five minutes to the moveon.org ad about Petraeus, and asks, "Are the Democratsd overplaying their hand?"  As if the Democratic Party paid for the ad!  Then he and former Senator William Cohen sententiously mouthed off about what a fine, decent, long-serving general the General is, and how he could/would never sahde the truth.   And Dana Bash, one of the MSM's blondtwits, of course said that the General's testimony would make it easy for the GOp.  Funny how everything is always bad for the Dems according to the MSM, this at a time when polls show 1) the majority of Americans want out of Iraq and think the war was a mistake and 2) the majority of Americans don't believe the "report" will mean much.

Ionesco said it best: "such cascades of cacas"

"In order to maintain an untenable position, you have to be actively ignorant."  The Colbert Report

I don't buy it either, of course

but I'm not sure the discussion is edified by using terms such as "Betray-Us".

Of course I recently slammed Laura Bush in a really petty way, so who am I to criticize? ;)

Though I suppose it could be argued that the First Lady is fair game, at least to some extent. She's been right beside her husband all these years, and she must know what he's up to ... and yet, she manages to maintain that scary, soulless grin all the time.

That, to me, is a smile of utter, total denial.

Graham is, of course, a jackass...
...it is Congress that is appropriating the monies to pay for this disaster in Iraq.  Why should the Congress not interrogate the "commanders on the ground" as to how the monies are being spent?
