Blend-o-licious endorsements...

The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

GOP U.S. Senate candidate calls for impeachment of Iowa judge for ruling on marriage equality

by: Pam Spaulding

Those damn activist judges. You knew that this kind of crap would immediately draw the bigots in. Did I mention that this guy is the Iowa chairman for U.S. Rep. Tom Tancredo’s presidential campaign? (Des Moines Register):
A conservative political activist is demanding that the Iowa Legislature impeach Polk County District Judge Robert Hanson, who ruled last month that state’s ban on gay marriage is unconstitutional.

Bill Salier, a Nora Springs farmer and former Republican candidate for U.S. Senate, said Wednesday that he is passing petitions favoring the judge’s impeachment.

..."He’s advancing what he wants to be the law, but he cannot pass law because he is not a representative or a senator or a governor," Salier said. “It’s a malfeasance of his office, and he needs to be removed for it."
Fortunately, Salier's call for impeachment was met with guffaws.
Senate Majority Leader Mike Gronstal laughed when he heard about the effort. The Council Bluffs Democrat said he wasn’t sure if the Legislature even has the power to impeach a judge. "I'm next to positive it’s never been done," he said.

Gronstal said Salier’s impeachment demand was not an honest attempt to oust Hanson. "Let’s be blunt: The likelihood of that happening is zero, and he knows it, and you know it."
When questioned about whether Salier's bleating had anything to do with Tancredo, Iowa House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy said:
"This is a very emotional issue, but we are not interested in politicizing the judicial branch to help the failing presidential campaign of Tom Tancredo."

That figures
It figures that something like that would happen... I mean if you have no real plan for ending the war, catching Ben Laden, or getting education from the testers and back to the teachers... go kick the gays and their supporters.

What we need
is a graduate level test in civics and on the Constitution that should be given to any one who is running for anything.  :^)
It would be funny to see the scores, especially since a lot of politicians seem to be lawyers!

My America includes LGBT families.

They would scream, "it is a litness test," and
  "It is unconstitutional!"

If I make sense? it was quite by accident.

Dear Mr. Salier,

It is called checks and balances.

When a legislative body passes a law that is contrary to the constitution, the legal branch has the obligation to rule that the law is unconstitutional.

To you this seems horrific, but I'm sure that if a judicial ruling supported your stance, you would applaud it.

Stop stroking your ego...or any part of your self and get a life...please

Saliers is prolly just afraid...
...that someone will want to make an honest man of him...

Hate stops a beating heart.

As one born and raised in Iowa...

I think it is only fair to note that this guy has NO support for his effort.  He is copying of the folks in Mass.

And in fairness to Iowa Republicans, they soundly defeated him in the primary for Senate.

Not that I'm advocating it, but...

"Senate Majority Leader Mike Gronstal laughed when he heard about the effort. The Council Bluffs Democrat said he wasn’t sure if the Legislature even has the power to impeach a judge."

I dunnow, but it kinda bothers me that this guy doesn't even know what he's empowered to do.

From the Iowa Constitution, Article III:

Impeachment. SEC. 19. The house of representatives shall have the sole power of impeachment, and all impeachments shall be tried by the senate. When sitting for that purpose, the senators shall be upon oath or affirmation; and no person shall be convicted without the concurrence of two thirds of the members present.

Officers subject to impeachment--judgment. SEC. 20. The governor, judges of the supreme and district courts, and other state officers, shall be liable to impeachment for any misdemeanor or malfeasance in office; but judgment in such cases shall extend only to removal from office, and disqualification to hold any office of honor, trust, or profit, under this state; but the party convicted or acquitted shall nevertheless be liable to indictment, trial, and punishment, according to law. All other civil officers shall be tried for misdemeanors and malfeasance in office, in such manner as the general assembly may provide

Okay, Gronstal's a senator and, as with the federal government, its the House that actually impeaches.

Still...

The "failing" candidacy of Tom ...
...Tancredo? That is the most generous assessment I've heard yet.

Yikes
I live only 6 miles from this nut (24135 260th St., Nora Springs, IA 50458)!  You should've see the letters to the eidtor and comments when the judge made his ruling.  Everytime I see Brownback, Huckabee, Tancredo, and now Thompson mentioned (or yard sign) I think pink triangles and train rides to concentration camps.  On the funny side, some of the comments are from people spitting mad wondering how to get 'them Judges' out of office.  These people don't know how things work?!?!  I'm sure they blindly march into polling sites and mark the ballots as they have been told. Gang mentality -- errrr!

Who's this Tancredo guy? (evil grin)
