Blend-o-licious endorsements...

The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

Police taser parties

by: Pam Spaulding

Tue Sep 18, 2007 at 08:00:00 AM EDT

Here we go again. Law enforcement using a tool meant for use against violent  out-of-control individuals being used inappropriately.

A University of Florida student attended a forum by John Kerry. He rambled on for a while asking several questions of the senator, including why Kerry capitulated so quickly in the 2004 election when it was clear voting hanky-panky was going on. He went on at length and then police dragged Andrew Meyer, 21, to take him out of the venue and tased him:

From coverage of the event:
As two officers take Meyer by the arms, Kerry, D-Mass., is heard to say, "That's alright, let me answer his question." Audience members applaud, and Meyer struggles to escape for several seconds as up to four officers try to remove him from the room.

Meyer screams for help and asks "What did I do?" as he tries to break away from officers. He is forced to the ground and officers order him to stop resisting. Meyer says he will walk out if the officers let him go.

As Kerry tells the audience he will answer the student's "very important question," Meyer struggles on the ground and yells at the officers to release him, crying out, "Don't Tase me, bro," just before he is Tasered. He is then led from the room, screaming, "What did I do?"

He was charged with resisting an officer and disturbing the peace. Kerry condemned the action:

"In 37 years of public appearances, through wars, protests and highly emotional events, I have never had a dialogue end this way," Kerry said in a statement. "I believe I could have handled the situation without interruption, but I do not know what warnings or other exchanges transpired between the young man and the police prior to his barging to the front of the line and their intervention. I asked the police to allow me to answer the question and was in the process of responding when he was taken into custody."

"I was not aware that a taser was used until after I left the building," he continued. "I hope that neither the student nor any of the police were injured. I regret enormously that a good healthy discussion was interrupted."

***

And in a story that has received little coverage outside NYC, a veteran of the NYPD says his son was tased by cops four times during a community barbecue for no apparent reason, and beat him 15 times with a nightstick and choked him. (NYDN):

Video: via Police Brutality Blog.
Retired Lt. Alexander Lombard said his son, Alexander Lombard 3rd, 17, was beaten by cops after they arrived at a "community sponsored" barbecue at 126th St. and Park Ave. last month.

"He's truly dismayed by the whole thing," Lombard said, standing next to his son in front of Police Headquarters in lower Manhattan. "He grew up with cops. He was raised to trust cops."

But Deputy Police Commissioner Paul Browne said in a statement that a police sergeant "employed a Taser against the suspect's ankle" to subdue him after responding to a large disturbance at about 3:30 a.m.

..."The mere fact that he was hit with a Taser four times," Leader said, "and there's no resisting arrest charge, no criminal possession of a weapons charge - it's evident to me that this incident did not justify use of a stun gun."
NOTE:  The sad truth is that people can chastise the Florida student for his obnoxious behavior, but it is not grounds for tasing him for exercising free speech rights. I will say this -- many a young black man knows what it's like to be errantly targeted beaten, shot, tased or attacked for absolutely no reason at all by overzealous law enforcement -- and that's been going on longer than the current "police state" people are railing about now. Welcome to the club.

Hat tip, Too Sense.

What a load of bull sh*t!
The guy was basically arrested and tasered for asking a question.

Did anyone see him become unruly or "disturbing the peace" in that video?

Family ties....friends of Jeb are friends of Dubya.  Bastards!

Charley sez ---- Bat sh*t crazies amuse me!

Clearer Video available here:

Everyone there should have just gotten up and left in protest. Kerry is SCUM.

lots of reactions

The Ocala article linked above said the guy rushed the microphone and "forced" a question on Kerry.  That part desn't show up on tape, but he does seem very angry and on the verge of being out of control (as in the way hsi questions run together and he doesn't wait for an answer).  I would have been very nervous sitting next to him.

That doesn't excuse the over-reaction of the campus cops, and it certainly doesn't excuse the oaf Kerry.  Why didn't he object right away?  That would have defused the situation: "Officers, let him go--he wasn't threatening anyone--he was asking a question and I believe in free speech."  Instead, Kerry made some lame joke.  he was the most powerful person in the room and he could have taken control of the situation; instead, he dithered, just as he did during his campaign.

I do understand that situations like this are so shocking and unexpected we can be frozen by shame and other feelings, but none of that excuses a combat veteran and seasoned politican who should have had it more together.

Another piece of the story

According to Salon, the student group sponsoring the event asked the police to remove the student:

http://www.salon.com...

Salon doesn't say what group it was, but it rightly excoriates The King of Drone, Kerry, for  doing nothing.

"In order to maintain an untenable position, you have to be actively ignorant."  The Colbert Report

Also disturbing
is that whilst the article reports that some students left the building in protest of the brutality demonstrated by the police, the video also clearly shows  a few students grinning their bloody heads off, no doubt delighted to have front row seats. This is an obvious example of abuse of power by police and how putting on a uniform brings out the redneck in a few. They are responsible for escalating the situation and they should be ashamed of themselves that it took SIX of them, ARMED to bring down one vocal, maybe obnoxious, but unarmed and essentially harmless student. Pathetic.

ALLY (ALLIE) (transitive) To connect or form a relation between by similitude, resemblance, friendship, or love.

Is this what we're becoming?
There are so many little instances of censorship-- Sally Field's bizarre but inoffensive rant, this hyper but harmless guy. I stop short of saying it's a conspiracy from washington, but what's going on?  There was no reason they had to risk that man's health by tasering him four times!

What concerns me is that neither of these people were really that out of line.. But there is a completly unnecessary brutish reaction that we're turning a blind eye to.

I'm all for the use of tasers to subdue persons who threaten the safety of police, but this guy was clearly not a threat.  These was a police officer meting out punishment because this guy was a bit of a loud mouth.

more details

Tthe story gets weirder and weirder, and more happened before the tape than was reported yesterday:

http://www.cnn.com/2...

Did this guy want the confrontation?  It's starting to sound that way.

Shocking Students on Campus in Taliban Country! NO, just Florida
What does a little taser shock do?

It is NOT a big deal, right! People are getting treated way worse all over the place.
YES. They are, and that is why we dont need this to happen here.
America must ACT, otherwise we will have nothing to defend!
Check out these videos of my reaction to the Andrew Meyer shocks.
