The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

No Fred for Daddy D

Daddy Dobson of Focus on the Family has spoken, and Fred Thompson fails to pass the fundie test:
In a private e-mail obtained Wednesday by The Associated Press, Dobson accuses the former Tennessee senator and actor of being weak on the campaign trail and wrong on issues dear to social conservatives.

"Isn't Thompson the candidate who is opposed to a Constitutional amendment to protect marriage, believes there should be 50 different definitions of marriage in the U.S., favors McCain-Feingold, won't talk at all about what he believes, and can't speak his way out of a paper bag on the campaign trail?" Dobson wrote.

"He has no passion, no zeal, and no apparent 'want to.' And yet he is apparently the Great Hope that burns in the breasts of many conservative Christians? Well, not for me, my brothers. Not for me!"

...Gary Schneeberger, a Focus on the Family spokesman, confirmed that Dobson wrote the e-mail. Schneeberger declined to comment further, saying it would be inappropriate because Dobson's comments about presidential candidates are made as an individual and not as a representative of Focus on the Family, a nonprofit organization restricted from partisan politics.

...In his e-mail addressed "Dear friends," Dobson includes the text of a recent news story highlighting Thompson's statement that while he was baptized in the Church of Christ, he does not attend church regularly and won't speak about his faith on the stump.
I knew that last bit of business was going to get the Law & Order actor and former Tennessee senator in trouble with the bible-beaters.

So now that Thompson, McCain, and Giuliani are off Daddy D's list, he's left with Romney and the rest of the wannabes in the clown car. I can't see Dobson bedding down with Mormon Mitt, given the narrow view of Christianity that the fundies have and his shaky, flip-flopping record on social issues. Perhaps he's going to go for sure-winner-at-the-finish-line Mike Huckabee.

Why Don't You Run, Dobson?

If none of the Republicans are good enough for Dobson, why doesn't Dobson step forward?

Because
He relishes the power of being a Grand Ayatollah of the Religious Right and having office seeking wantabees bow on their knees before him and kiss his ring before receiving his divine blessing.

Very good point
And it's what this is all about, methinks. This is the warning shot from (one group of) fundamentalists to Fred and any other R candidate who "dare" not to come begging for support: Come ask me what I want or I'll turn them all against you.

Dobson loves power and importance

but has absolutely NO stomach for criticism. He is one of the thinnest skinned mullahs on the planet. His e-mail is pretty judgemental, though! What a hypocrite. AND his idea of a good candidate is.... Newt Gingrich!!!!

Yup, the thrice married adulterer and serial sociopath is Dobson's messiah for the "pro-moral" movement.

You can cut the irony with a Knife.

Dobson, is the Arch Pharisee!

Well, Gov. Huckabee
does have the Colbert bounce.

Dobson wrote:

"Great Hope"?

He means, "Great White Hope."

"My brothers"

That's exactly what he means.  He's talking to the real people, the men.  Specifically, the white men.

Of course...

When, oh when, will the Universe dole out Its justice on this particular goon? I'll help give It or him a push if It needs an extra hand.

Of all 'em out there including those that're dead, buried, and desiccating, he's the head jackal in charge and needs to go.

Curses! My million dollar ideas foiled again: "God Bless Your Brand!" http://www.christvertising.com/

"burning in the breasts...."
OMG, I am SO turned on!! Thank you, Daddy Dob, for lighting my fire baby. Now I need to go out and find a girl to help me extinguish it........

A society without religion is like a maniac without a chainsaw.

[ Parent ]
Considering their obsession with gender roles and...
...that applying breasts to men is an archaic usage, it's odd.  Language choices reveal all and this reveals yet another one in the closet.

Perhaps
RE: "Perhaps he's going to go for sure-winner-at-the-finish-line Mike Huckabee."

Why not?  Huckaberry was anointed the "clear winner" of the Venomous Voters Debate on the 17th.  I heard afterwards, Janet Folger, was drooling all over him.  Maybe if we're lucky, he'll lose the Republican primary and Grand Ayatollah Dobson will convince him to run as a third party candidate so the wing-nut right will have somebody they can vote for wholeheartedly; and thereby splitting the Republican vote.

Mike Huckabee
He does represent best what the Right Wing believes and if they had the courage of their convictions they would vote for him.  But they Republicans are now where the Dems were four years ago when Howard Dean was articulating what the base really believed but John Kerry seemed more electable.  I bet they choose holding on to power over principle.

nice way to skirt the regs
props to FoF for making sure a copy of Dobson's email was obtained by the press, this avoiding this
Dobson's comments about presidential candidates are made as an individual and not as a representative of Focus on the Family, a nonprofit organization restricted from partisan politics.
I'm wondering if it was sent on a personal account from a home computer, or from his FoF infrastructure.

amazing

Okay. I found out that Christianity is named after that guy in that Mel Gibson snuff film. What I did not know was that the movie was based on this old novel that I found a copy of in a hotel room recently. Most of the novel is about God killing people in various ways. There's one part that is kinda like the movie "Titanic." In another one, he really has it in for the gays and he goes totally ballistic on this gay city. Well, this Christ guy doesn't show up until more than halfway through. I figured this was really gonna kick ass. I assumed that he would continue on like his father did in the first part and there would be some killer bombastic gore-- I was looking forward to seeing whatever it was he did that made those guys beat on him for two hours.

But it turned out to be a total ripoff because all he does is wander around telling people not to kill one another, not to hurt one another, to be kind and generous and blah blah blah. (I don't know when this book came out but I'm betting the 60s) He never says a single word about how cool it is to kill everyone and steal their money. In fact, he seems to be AGAINST all this. And he also never says that you should go out and mess with queers and kill them and force them out of town, etc. The only people he actually goes off on big time are these dudes who are running a payday loan business in front of a church. I was disappointed because I figured after what his dad did to that homo city (I think it was San fransisco), Junior would go one better. It just plain sucked.

So that's why I'm so glad to hear about this preacher here getting really nasty about stuff, especially gays. Obviously he read the WHOLE book and ignored that jesus hippie flower power crap. Hey, maybe he can get whoever is the next president to nuke some more gay cities! Christianity is totally cool and kick ass as long as you leave Christ out of it.
