Blend-o-licious endorsements...

The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

Ahmadinejad's 'no gays in Iran' speech scrubbed from web site

by: Pam Spaulding

Wed Sep 26, 2007 at 11:35:02 AM EDT

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad made an ass out of himself in his speech at Columbia, blathering that there are no gays in Iran and that homosexuality is a "phenomenon," so he's scrubbed it from his web site. At first the English translation was left up, but after PageOneQ inquired about it, the whole Q&A was taken down.
In a statement released by the International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission the organization noted that the comments had been removed from the Persian language version of the site, but left in the English transcription of the speech. Following an inquiry by PageOneQ made to the Iranian embassy, the entire question and answer period has been removed from the site.

..."The first reaction of many of us was to join in the astonished response to President Ahmadinejad's clearly outrageous view that no lesbian or gay people live in Iran," said IGLHRC executive director Paula Ettlebrick. "But, the whitewashing of his comments from the eyes and ears of most Iranian citizens speaks to something more troubling. His denial attempts to simply erase from public view the lives of men and women who face regular abuse in his country. Perhaps he knows he could not credibly get away with such a denial among his own people."
It should be noted that none of the local media in Iran reported on Ahmadinejad's outlandish remarks.

Why is this shocking?

How can we condemn Ahmadinejad when the US and Westestern civilization rewrite history as well.  I remember taking an ancient greek class back in university where the professor stated that the ancient greek society is not considered to have incorporated homosexuality.  Apparently Classical Academics consider homosexuality a modern day phenomenon.  When I asked the professor to elaborate he replied with "times were a lot different back then" and that we cannot assume things.

Don't kind yourself, our whole society is based on lies.

No Gays in Iran?

If they're aren't any gay people in Iran, then why do they have to execute people for homosexual conduct? Just curious...

There aren't any homosexuals in Iran
AFTER the executions.  Not now.

Surely there's a Google cache copy out there somewhere...

You might think he was trying to get on the good..
...side of the christian right in this country. But he fumbled that one.  Only if he would have come out and told the truth,"In my country, we execute the homos."

You might think he might have won a bunch over.

If I make sense? it was quite by accident.

See a tongue-in-cheek graphic
See a tongue-in-cheek graphic titled "Mahmoud Dearest", which has a little fun with the Iran's Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and his unbelievable comments at Columbia University...particularly the one whereby he asserts that there aren't any gays in Iran...here:

Happy Day

No, this is a very good thing. Because all the Bushites have been squawking for quite some time about how Iran is evil, and how they don't "talk with evil," and it's part of the Axis of Evil. So, the general feeling, I'm guessing, is that this guy is evil. So, if he is that anti-gay, I am sure that now all the conservatives and religious fundamentalists will look at this and say, "Wow, this totally evil guy has this attitude. I guess we better stop promoting all this hate because evidently we have been wrong about this whole thing."

They will do this because they will have to. They are all so honest and ethically meticulous, they will have no choice but to repudiate their former attitudes. Because if they DON'T, if they keep on the way they have been after this-- well, that would make them liars and hypocrites, wouldn't it? So, just watch. Watch Hartline and LaBarbera and all the rest mend their ways and embrace the homosexual community. Which I am confident they will, because, gosh, they're good guys, and their anti-gay rehetoric must have been the result of an honest misunderstanding. I couldn't have been a sick, cynical ploy to manipulate public opinion by a bunch of pea-brained assholes who have neither the wit nor the moral strength to gain attention in any legitimate way.

Whew, thank God all that is finally over!

Down the memory hole

"It should be noted that none of the local media in Iran reported on Ahmadinejad's outlandish remarks."

What about Iranian blogs, though?

Here's what I find about compromise--
don't do it if it hurts inside,
'cause either way you're screwed,
eventually you'll find
you may as well feel good;
you may as well have some pride
