The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."
He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior."
(CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)
Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego)."Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008
Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:
A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist." (Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)
"A nutty lesbian blogger." (MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)
Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

Rudy's attempt to woo the right at the Values Voter Summit this weekend has reached desperation flip-flop stage. Family Research Council's Tony Perkins told The Hill:Giuliani told him in a private meeting that if the Defense of Marriage Act appeared to be failing or if multiple states began to legalize same-sex marriages, then he would support the constitutional amendment.
Giuliani did not mention the amendment or the issue of gay marriage during his address to the Values Voters Summit, but that position could win him favor with some social conservatives who view the former mayor warily.
Perkins said that was not enough to assuage his concerns about Giuliani, but “it was nice to hear.” Of course he's been rolling back on gay rights for a good while now to no effect -- witness his flip-flop on civil unions, documented by Mike Signorile.
All the pole stroking by the former NY mayor didn't work at all -- look at how he bombed in the fundie straw poll today (via TPM):
Candidate Name ... Percentage 1. Mitt Romney ... 27.62 % 2. Mike Huckabee ... 27.10 % 3. Ron Paul ... 14.98% 4. Fred Thompson ... 9.77 % 5. Sam Brownback ... 5.14 % 6. Duncan Hunter ... 2.42 % 7. Tom Tancredo ... 2.30 % 8. Rudy Giuliani ... 1.85 % 9. John McCain ... 1.40 %
When you beat only the Tool McCain, that's a good sign the fundie power brokers are going to tell their peeps to stay home if Rudy gets the nom. I wonder if the Log Cabinettes still feel that warm glow from Rudy (see this article, Log Cabin Group Lists Giuliani as Ideal Republican).Mr. Giuliani appears to have no qualms about accepting an endorsement or contribution from the Log Cabin Republicans if it is offered. "Mayor Giuliani is reaching out to all Republicans across the country," a campaign spokeswoman, Maria Comella, said in a statement. "We welcome support from across the Republican" spectrum.
Support from the Log Cabin Republicans likely wouldn't help Mr. Giuliani get the party's nomination, and it could hurt, a political science professor at the University of Virginia, Larry Sabato, said. "My guess is if Giuliani gets nominated, he will have had to have made some pledges to evangelical Christians along the way," he said. Uh, yeah. |
