Blend-o-licious endorsements...

The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

Oh Well...If Walker Texas Ranger is For Him, He Must Be OK - Right?

by: KatRose

Mon Oct 22, 2007 at 15:58:05 PM EDT

(Had to add the pic... - promoted by pam)

And - surprise, surprise - we can find out all about Chuck Norris's thoughts on who should be dictator president at Wing Nut Daily:

Like most of you, over the summer and into the fall, I've been watching, listening, studying and praying about who could lead this country as our next president.

I won't leave you in suspense. Though Giuliani might be savvy enough to lead people, Fred Thompson wise enough to wade through the tides of politics, McCain tough enough to fight terrorism and Romney business-minded enough to grow our economy, I believe the only one who has all of the characteristics to lead America forward into the future is ex-Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee.

Gee -I was hoping that Chuck would endorse Hedda Lettuce.  Maybe next time.

Part of our backward culture is reflected in the fact that we measure and value people by what they do, instead of first who they are.

Uhhhhh...that couldn't be playing any role in why you think anyone cares about who Walker, Force of Return of the One Texas Delta Octagon Dragon Sidekick Force thinks should be dictator president of the United States, could it?

Chuck Hearts Huckabee.
Well, there's a fine damn endorsement.

Blogwhoring @ http://indigestible.nightwares.com/

I saw this guy once...

It was on a late-night infomercial.  He was trying to bilk people out of large sums of money for shoddily constructed exercise equipment of dubious functionality.

Now he's a huckster for Huckabee.  Well, he's still selling a defective product.

You should watch Walker Texas Ranger
He makes Adam Sandler look like Gene Hackman. His kung-fu is good, and that's about it.

<3 Sam

[ Parent ]
I totally agree Kat
It's neigh time for the country to elect a musical president. Hedda Lettuce '08!

<3 Sam

Here's an idea
Huckabee should put Chuck Norris and Ted Nuggent on a bus and send them on a campaign tour through the MidWest. They can stop to kill animals with their bare hands in small town festivals and Grange Hall meetings.

When you look for the bad in mankind, expecting to find it, you surely will.

- Abraham Lincoln.

uh, to measure and value people by what they do.....
....is considered backwards?  where am i, exactly?

The gays stole my lunch money

Chucks for Huck...
...Who gives a f---?

OK
I will admit that I got a good laugh from that.

[ Parent ]
What's really funny
is that there are still people in this country who think the Founders were opposed to a secularaist society. And the fact that Norris is one of them discredits him even more than his being a bad martial artist who made bad movies and then retired to hawking bad exercise equipment. What a hack.

A society without religion is like a maniac without a chainsaw.

You can slam his acting all you want

But there's no way you can call a 10th degree black belt a 'bad martial artist'.  There's really no way you can say he's a bad guy, either.  Growing up, his family was dirt poor, and not only did he rise up, he has used his celebrity for very worthwhile causes. He has donated millions toward drug programs for kids and has begun programs targeting drug abuse among middle schools using martial arts as a vehicle.

Yeah, he does hawk exercise equipment,  and is even a (gasp) Christian. But he is one of the few celebs who puts his time and money where his mouth is for some very good causes.

[ Parent ]
Whatever....

I certainly CAN call him a bad marital artist, and I did. The guy is a total asshat. From what I understand, he is only a tenth degree black belt in a style he created and sold to the masses--not in any discipline native to the Orient. It's easy to get a high rank in a style you make up. Try getting something close to that in a real dojo. I've been in tournaments against women trained in "Chuck Norris Style", and they were crap. They got the hell beat out of them.

And your second point is beyond reproach. He certainly IS a bad guy if he endorses that theocratic nutcase Hucakabee. Anyone who would back Huckabee is a total sellout to the fanatical christian right, and is therefore a sworn enemy of mine--and a sworn enemy of the constitution. The guy is a sleazy used car salesman, and only a real shmuck would fail to see that at this point.

A society without religion is like a maniac without a chainsaw.

[ Parent ]
LOL. You have no idea what you're talking about.

Norris has his 10th degree blackbelt in Tangsudu, a Chinese and Korean discipline that was invented in the 600s. So I really doubt Chuck invented it.  Oh, and he also holds an 8th degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do.  Oopsie.

I'll bet Mother Teresa was a sworn enemy of yours, too. Imagine. Helping all those desperately poor people!   But she was, well, a Christian.

[ Parent ]
Arrogant

Norris did indeed invent his own style, called (imaginatively) "Chuck Norris Style". I sparred aginst people trained in it. I competed against women in tournaments who were part of his Amway-like "school" for martial arts, and they were hamburger at the hands of the real martial artists at these tournaments.

I've been combing resources to confirm what you've posted here, and I find no evidence of him actually being a 10th degree in ANY style. Care to post a link there, bucko?

Even his own website (yes, I actually had to look there, barf) makes no mention of a 10th degree black belt in any style. His own website says he holds and 8th degree black belt in Taekwondo. If you know anything about martial arts in the US, you will know that Taekwondo hands out ranks rather liberally compared to the other martial arts disciplines, so it isn't really that big a deal. There are tons of fifth, sixth, and seventh degree Taekwondo black belts that routinely get the shit beaten out of them in tournaments. I've done some of it myself, and watched it done my numerous others, deary.

The guy isn't NEARLY as talented as thousands of real martial artists around the world. He's an actor, and he plied his trade acting like a martial artist. About the only thing he is talented at is self-promotion. All you know of him is what you've seen on the screen. I've actually seen him in person, and it isn't impressive, I can tell you that. I've seen martial artists that could grind him into dust.

I have little respect for his skills as a martial artist, actor, or political pundit. The man is an asshat, pure and simple.

Meanwhile, what I know of Mother Teresa starts with the fact that she didn't go around trying to force her religion down the throats of Americans who labor under a constitution that says America is clearly a secular nation--unlike Mike Huckabee.

So I will speak no more about her, but I can tell you that I do oppose all theocratic nutcases, like Mike Huckabee. I oppose anyone who actually thinks America should be a theocratically ruled christian state, as apparently you and Mike Huckabee do.

A society without religion is like a maniac without a chainsaw.

[ Parent ]
Gee, I found it in about..........5 seconds.

"He has a 10th degree black belt in Tang Soo Do, and also an 8th degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do...that is, the Korean (or traditional) styles of each."

Here is the first of FIVE straight entries. Geesh. LOL.

 http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001569/bio

and also:

"...by 1966, he was almost unbeatable. Among the numerous titles he won were The National Karate Championships (1966), All-Star Championships (1966), World Middleweight Karate Championship (1967), All-American Karate Championship (1967), Internationals (1968), World Professional Middleweight Karate Championship (defeating Louis Delgado on 24 November 1968), All-American Championship (1968), National Tournament of Champions (1968), American Tang Soo Championship, and the North American Karate Championship."

Yeah, he was just a hack, not nearly as good as the folks in your local dojo. LMAO.

[ Parent ]
Thanks for the link....

Interesting that his own website omits this piece of "information". I am left wondering about its validity.

You do realize, of course that the top five or so ranks in each style are honorary rankings given for longetivity and contribution to promotion of that particular style, and not indicitive of talent or skill, I hope.

I stand by what I've said. I saw the man in action, in person, more than once, and was quite simply unimpressed.

But none of this addresses the real concern at hand: The guy is a theocrat, and theocrats fly in the face of the Founders of this country, and share open contempt for the constitution. They are THE MOST UNAMERICAN people I know. We can disagree about whatever skills he may or may not possess, but you can't change the fact that he and you are both so far on the wrong side of the issue that really matters.

Have a day.

A society without religion is like a maniac without a chainsaw.

[ Parent ]
Oh, I got it.

The first five google entries for "Chuck Norris 10th degree" are all lying, but you're not.   And about his titles and competition, again, you don't know your ass from first base.  Norris amassed a 65-5 record, avenging all five of his losses. Not one of those wins was for 'longevity'.  You say you 'weren't impressed with him'.  But he's a 10th degree blackbelt, so you what you think amounts to donkey dung.   The man is now 67 years old. His heydey was 40 years ago. I don't know when you allegedly saw him, but unless you are an old grandma, he was well past his prime.

The man is a Christian American who has donated his millions to worthwhile causes. Your problem is you are a religious bigot.

[ Parent ]
Ass

I saw him several times in the early 1980's in California at various martial arts exhibitions. I stand by what I have said. You can argue with the air until your are blue in the face about it, you freaking troll. It isn't going to change what I saw.

Meanwhile, I notice how you consistenly evade the real issue here. The guy is a theocrat. Theocrats are phenomenally dangerous people to society's health. He wants a state religion (christianity), just like Huckabee wants. Are you afraid to address this issue?

A society without religion is like a maniac without a chainsaw.

[ Parent ]
CAN YOU READ?
I addressed the issue of religion in my last paragraph....you know, the one where I correctly identified you as a religious bigot?

[ Parent ]
Clear up a coulple of things

Frist of all, in reference to your overly snark comment about the "links", I received one link only, not five. And when I looked at it, it had information that was in contrast to Norris' own offical website. Sue me if I questioned its validity. You don't have to be such an asshole all the time, you know.

Second, you BARELY have addressed anything with regard to religion, and you never have addressed the issue of both Norris and Huckabee being theocrats, so the questions still remain.

I don't understand why you keep reincarnating yourself as a troll to this website, when all you want to do behave like an ass and spread misinformation. Don't you have a job, or something constructive to do?

As for my being a "religious bigot": I am not a bigot. I oppose all religions. They are a plague on human kind. They are a mental disease. They are the most destructive force  in all of human endeavor.

YOU CHOOSE to follow a religion. Therefore, it isn't an intrinsic trait you were born with. As such, it isn't bigotry fro me to oppose something you choose to do, especially considering the fact that religion is an extremely destructive force in society, and that Christianity is easily one of the most destructive and virulent forms of the mental disease that is religion.

When you choose to engage in an activity (your belief system) that negatively impacts my life and the lives of millions of innocents around the world, hell yes I can oppose it. Does that make me a bigot? Only if your mind is infected with the disease of religion.

Have a day.

A society without religion is like a maniac without a chainsaw.

[ Parent ]
Jen,
stay away from starting a religion thread.  He has been trying to do that all along.  That's how this waste of perfectly good carbon operates.
As far as Chuck Norris as a human being goes, my aunt attended a martial arts class or demonstration way back when (~the 1960's) and thought that he was an arrogant jerk even before he got famous.  He also didn't want to sign an autograph for a female veteran at Hines VAH because he apparently didn't believe that she was a veteran (she did work there), I don't know if it was because she is a woman or if he thought that people want his autograph so badly that they are willing to lie in order to get it.  He's another waste of perfectly good carbon.

My America includes LGBT families.

[ Parent ]
Confirms my impressions of the guy

Norris seemed self centered and arrogant to me too. He has contempt for women in general, and is a typical religious right nut (along with being a weak martial artist--TWEAK!!) I remember at the time that he was a big suported of Regan. I see nothing has changed.

As far as a religious conversation, if this troll is the same repeatedly reincarnating troll we have conversed with before, as I suspect it is, he's already had his ass handed to him a few times on this forum, and Pam will likely ban him soon enough for violations.

He's not very bright, and his arguments are weak and unsupportable. I don't worry too much about it. I'll be back on 14 hours shifts soon, and won't have the time to deal with him. He'll either be banned or go away due to boredom.

A society without religion is like a maniac without a chainsaw.

[ Parent ]
Do you know how to use google?

Or are you just lazy? Here's what you do. Enter "Chuck Norris 10th degree" and you will find the links.

I don't believe I have presented information in contrast to Norris' site. Does his site say he doesn't have a 10th degree blackbelt?

Yes. You are a religious bigot. A bigot is defined as one who adhere to his own opinions and prejudices; especially, one who treats members of a group with hatred or intolerance.  That's you.

As far as behavior, you were the one who first behaved rudely.  Then your equally uninformed pals joined in.  You've answered  all my points tit for tat.  Are you unemployed?

My religion doesn't affect your life negatively; you're miserable and hateful on your own accord.

[ Parent ]
Being in opposition

to THE SINGLE MOST DESTRUCTIVE FORCE in all of human endeavor does not meake one a bigot. It makes one sensible, logical, and rational, and caring about the future of humanity. It means I care about the future of the human race, and have identified the biggest threat to our peaceful future. It is you religious nuts that are ruining life here for everyone else.

Adherece to any religion is evidence of a disconnect from reality. You are simply delusional, that's all.

Your adherence to christianity certainly DOES negatively impact my life. Follow me around for a few weeks, and I will show you point by point how it does so. Rampant homophobia is just one small aspect of this. You don't know a thing about my life. You have no clue if I am miserable or not. You assumptions show you to be the fool you are.

If the fact that I oppose you automatically makes me a bigot in your eyes, then you fail to understand the definition of the word. What I oppose is nothing less than the destruction of humanity by the adherents of irrational belief systems. You are a part of the problem, not the solution.

Look up the word "theocrat" while you're browsing the dictionary for "bigot".

You need to learn what these words mean before you use them.

Another word you need to look up is "troll".

--------------

And yes, I am employed. I am a self employed business owner. How about you?

A society without religion is like a maniac without a chainsaw.

[ Parent ]
No, atheism is the single most destructive force

Atheist regimes have killed many times more people than non-religious. From Stalin to Hitler to Mao, to Pol Pot to Castro.  100 million deaths have resulted from those godless dictatorships.

Godlessness is destroying our schools.  Distributing condoms to 11-year olds. Promoting abortion. Making traditional school celebrations godless.  Removing mention of God from our public arenas.  KEEP YOUR GODLESSNESS TO YOURSELF, and stop hating people the minute you find out they are Christian, without knowing them, just jumping to your irrational misjudgments; the very definition of BIGOTRY.

And yes, I run my own business. I work when I want to. And no, unlike you, I am not a  direct marketer of Noni Juice.

[ Parent ]
Killing Scoreboard

"100 million deaths have resulted from those godless dictatorships."

I dunnow.  Somehow I think less than a century of Stalin, Mao and Castro ain't got nuthin' on 2000 years of often-enforced christendom (and that's not counting all of the killing in the name of all other mythologies.)

Kat

>^..^<

[ Parent ]
If you can find any Christian purge
that approached 100 million I would love to know about it.

[ Parent ]
Take the lead,
I thought being a good christian means not judging others. It seems that is just what all you good christians do.  I will quit stereotyping christians when they stop stereotyping me.

As for,"Godlessness is destroying our schools." Couldn't be farther from the truth. It is all those good christians that feel it is their job to save others by spreading the good word.

KEEP YOUR god AT HOME, IN YOUR CHURCH, OR WHERE EVER IS PRIVATE TO YOU!!  If you don't want your children to see us LGBT people, keep them home.

When they can be tolerant of others like me with a different view on the world, without hating, threating physical harm to me, I might let my guard down, and not have to fear the hate that has been started by you good christians.

If I make sense? it was quite by accident.

[ Parent ]
Switched gears, haven't we?

Keep your godlessness in your home and wherever is private to you.  Do not foist your beliefs on others with the help of the ACLU and court system.

But amazing the morph from godlessness to LGBT.  I never mentioned LGBT, much less said they were godless.  Please don't change the topic and introduce a straw dog to elicit outrage in here.   That's the chickenshit way of avoiding debate, and I'm calling you on it right now.

[ Parent ]
The jump (morph) was made
With the following comment from Jen
Your adherence to christianity certainly DOES negatively impact my life. Follow me around for a few weeks, and I will show you point by point how it does so. Rampant homophobia is just one small aspect of this. You don't know a thing about my life. You have no clue if I am miserable or not. You assumptions show you to be the fool you are.

  Followed by your comment,

and stop hating people the minute you find out they are Christian, without knowing them,

It is self proclaimed christians that spout hate towards me and other LGBT people. They are the people that claim they are doing god's work by beating the shit out of or killing LGBT people.

It is good christians that blow up abortion clinics. It is good christians trying to control what other do with their bodies.  If you don't like abortion, don't have one. If you don't like Gender-Reasignment-Surgery, don't have it either. If you don't like gay sex, don't engage in it. But don't go telling others that they can't because you don't like it, or believe it is against god's words.

  The simple use of

Do not foist your beliefs on others with the help of the ACLU and court system.

shows me you have no tolerance for LGBT people. How am I or any other LGBT person foisting our beliefs on you? By just existing?

I am guessing that you believe there is such thing as the homosexual agenda. You know, that twisted thing we want to infect the world with. (snark)

If I make sense? it was quite by accident.

[ Parent ]
People can proclaim themselves to be whatever they want.
Just like my example with Hitler. It doesn't make it so.  No Christian denomination advocates bombing clinics or beating up people. The beliefs I was talking about being foisted on others by the ACLU and through the courts were godless ATHEIST beliefs in the public school and public square. Damn, you're just like Media Matters, taking shit out of context, making stuff up, and falsely assigning beliefs to others.

[ Parent ]
This is an old failed argument

Atheism has never killed anyone. Religious fanatics have been killing people all down through history in the name of their religions. The despots you named clearly did not kill people because they were atheists. They killed people because they were insane.

Hitler was a Christan. If you doubt this, I will provide quotes from him that bear it out. His hatred of Jews sprang directly from Christian doctrine, and is a central theme of Christan dogma going back 2000 years.

Stalin was motivated by power and driven by madness, not athiesm. The same is true of Pol Pot. It wasn't atehism that drove them to do what they did. It was the fact that they were madmen.

You fail to grasp the nature of casue and effect, and this is a common, overused, and completely failed tactic of chistofascists such as yourself. You have failed to illustrate how their atheism motivated ANY of their actions. On the other hand every single death caused in the Crusades, the inquisition, the burning of several hundred thousand Eurpoeans for being witches, the oppression and genocide in the New World--every singel one of those things WERE caused by people motivated by their religion. And those deaths are in the many many millions.

You need to read Richard Dawkin' excellent exposure of this tired olf fallacy. This is almost as tired and worn out an argument as the "America was funded as a christian nation" bullshit. Both stories have survived only through constant repetition, not through any truth or validity. Shame on you for not knowing your history better than this. Go read Dawkins and make a real rebutal to what he wrote on this subject.

Slavery was promoted and condoned by the christian church until about 150 years ago. Genocidal wars in the New World and in the Colonial territories of the Old World were all promoted by christian bloodlust and a relentless drive for more power and wealth for European christan males. It's all there for you to discover if you open a history book.

The subjegation and oppression of women is STILL a deep seated characteristic of the christian church. You've got more blood on your hands than all the crazy dictators you can assemble, and not one of them acted out of a desire to promote atheism. ALL of your deaths and oppression and destruction and wars HAVE come straight out of a desire to enforce YOUR beliefs on the rest of the world.

In closing, I will gladly keep my godlessness to myself, once you christofascists try to DO THE SAME. We have never been the ones trying to control the world for one faith. We have never forced our views down the throats of others. ONly you religious fanatics have done that, and that is what I have opposed all along.

A society without religion is like a maniac without a chainsaw.

"Hitler was a Christian"

If you are relying on Hitler's quotes where he proclaims himself a Christian, you are an idiot. All despots have lied about what they believed.  The proof  is always revealed in their actions.   Hitler in fact imprisoned pastors and persecuted Christians.  Any guesses why Catholic seminaries had to go underground? If you want Hitler's true intentions toward religion in Germany all you have to do is read this passage from William Shirer's  "Rise and Fall of the Third Reich"

"The National Church is determined to exterminate irrevocably...the strange and foreign Christian faiths imported into Germany in the ill-omened year of 800.

The National Church demands immediate cessation of the publishing and dissemination of the Bible in Germany.

The National Church will clear away from its altars all crucifixes, Bibles and pictures of saints.

On the altars there must be nothing but Mein Kampf (to the German nation and therefore to God the most sacred book) and to the left of the altar a sword.

On the day of its foundation, the Christian Cross must be removed from all churches, cathedrals and chapels...and it must be superseded by the only unconquerable symbol, the swastika."   (Shirer, pp. 332-333)

That doesn't sound like somebody who embraces Christianity, does it?

"The despots you named clearly did not kill people because they were atheists. They killed people because they were insane. "

That's sweet of you to let these murdering atheist despots off the hook, just like that, for murdering 100 million people.  The fact remains, no religion has come even close to killing that many people.  I suppose we should add the 40 million babies aborted because of a godless law.

[ Parent ]
Belts, Etc.

Frankly, I don't give a sh*t how many degrees of black belts he has or if he's somehow Mother Teresa reincarnated.  The purpose of the original post was to highlight his endorsement of Mike Huckaberry for President.  What we have here is a theocrat who just happens to know martial arts, nothing more.  I'm with you Jen!

[ Parent ]

Oh, and Bob
Just nitpicking but Chuck only STARTED in Tangsudo (and that would have an "o" at the end not a "u" as you incorrectly spelt)and gained a black belt.  He then went on to "develop" his own "style which he self-proclaimed to have multiple Dans in.  Jen is right, you are wrong.  At any rate anyone who wears denim on denim could NEVER be taken seriously on any any political endorsement they have to espouse. And more importantly, who really gives a shit what Chuck Norris thinks???

Why would you want to look so foolish as to post stuff that is easily refuted? And as for "Tangsudu, yeah, that is "spelt" correctly. Do you know how to use Google?

[ Parent ]
It's "tangsudo" and "spelt" is spelt correctly
If you ever read a book you might know that.

[ Parent ]
Tangsudu is also correct.
"Spelt" is a British variant. Are you British?

[ Parent ]
No Bob

I'm not British but I speak English (you do realise people other than Britons and Americans speak English now, don't you?)  I also have a Korean husband who is a martial arts expert and know far more about the language than you do.  You are WRONG WRONG WRONG on the spelling.  But I'm not getting into this with a troll.  Interesting you used the term "donkey dung" in your previous post.  Identical language to Kirkie. Isn't there a constellation or something you should be staring at and not bothering us again?

Oh, well if you aren't British,
why would you use a British variants such as 'spelt' and 'realise'? Some sort of protest against America I presume?  Just because your husband is Korean doesn't mean there aren't variants in spelling of a word.  Could anything be more stupid?  And I am so pleased to use terms that 'Kirkie' used.  Who the hell is Kirkie?

Thoughts on Chuck - other than politics

I know nothing of the particulars of his martial arts pedigree - but I know enough that, even at his age, he's good enough at it that he could wipe me out in a move or two.  I'm no fan at all, but a couple of his movies were tolerable as mindless 1980s distractions go.  Even if I was a fan, that wouldn't change my thoughts on his gushing over Huckabee.

I do have a lot of old Charlie Daniels music and still listen to it, but that can't negate his latter-day prominence on Faux News; I can guess that his choice for prez will be as right-wing and as christianist as Chuckie's.
