Blend-o-licious endorsements...

The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

McClurkin bobs and weaves, Team Obama scrambles as HRC lowers the boom

The backpeddling begins...
Gospel music superstar Donnie McClurkin says he was surprised to wake up Tuesday morning to a media firestorm.

... McClurkin told The Associated Press on Monday that "sexuality, everything is a matter of choice." But on Tuesday he told the Tribune that his ideals, and most importantly his ministry, were severely misconstrued.

"I don't believe that even from a religious point of view that Jesus ever discriminated toward anyone, nor do I," McClurkin said in an exclusive interview with the Tribune. "Most of the things that were said were totally out of context and then other things weren't true."
OK. Did these statements not come out of your Grammy-winning mouth, Donnie?
McClurkin has devoted his life to saving children from the cult-like snares of the homosexual recruiters. "The gloves are off," he told the 700 Club. "And if there's going to be a war, there's going to be a war."
or this, comparing gays and lesbians to liars.
McClurkin explains, "There are certain things like, you know, anybody who has a lying problem; they get to the point where they hate being so, having such a lack of character that they make a change."

Further heat is being placed on Obama now, this time coming from HRC:
The Human Rights Campaign has expressed its strong reservations to Obama over his campaign-sponsored tour that features gospel singer Donnie McClurkin.

...By threatening to weigh in strongly, Human Rights Campaign has elevated what began as a controversy in the blogosphere into a full-fledged dilemma for Obama’s campaign.

Senior Obama aides had planned to hash the issue out Tuesday evening and discuss it in a conference call with gay supporters advising the campaign at noon Wednesday, said sources in contact with the campaign.
Oh so, now they are going to bring out the homos to advise them -- they clearly weren't on the speed dial when the bone-headed decision was made to sidle up to the recloseted anti-gay McClurkin.

Obama's choice
I'd say McClurkin's "I'm not in the mood to play with those who are trying to kill our children." quote would have to be his most inflammatory. It reportedly appeared on the Christian Broadcasting Network's site. Well I'm not in the mood to play around with the idea of a Dem front-runner associating himself with a psychotically obsessive gay-hater. Either by action or inaction, he is going to be making a stand, there's no comfy seat on the fence for him this time. Hate or love, justice or injustice, your choice Obama.

Oprah
I wonder if Oprah is re-thinking her support at this screw up.

Perez
Perez Hilton probably won't be endorsing him anymore. I know, gossip (chisme) blog, but that gay latino gets a lot of hits on his blog.

Are you Kidding about Oprah admitting she is wrong? HA

Just think back to the Frey controversy.   Oprah defended Frey almost vehemently until her fan base pretty much reminded her that we still hold the TRUTH to be more sacrosanct, more important than her perception of herself as all-knowing and never susceptible to being fooled like any ordinary American!  When she saw it was going to affect her reputation, then she changed her tune.

She's not any more ingenuous than Obama.  They're both demagogues -- just in different arenas........

And up until this McClurkin incident I was supporting Obama.

astounding

As someone who works in public relations and communications, I am astounded at how poorly the Obama campaign has handled this entire thing.

This is supposed to be a national presidential campaign?  It's sure not looking like one right now.  Until McClurkin is disinvited, this controversy will not go away.  Is it really worth trying to hold a few conservative primary voters to go through a week-long press cycle of criticism and bad press?

Who is advising Obama on this issue, anyway?

HRC should be weighing in on this (along with the Task Force and others), and not just threatening to do so.
