| Daimeon is a 20 something young man in Alexandria, VA, a blue spot in an otherwise red state.
Daimeon is the blogmaster from Get-The-Skinny.com and Tiny Queer Footballs. Daimeon was born in Savannah Georgia in 1981 where he lived till he was three years old. Then, with the help of his grandparents, he and his mother moved to Jamesville/Dewitt, New York. When Daimeon was five his mother met the man that he would really call "Dad" and eventually settled in Cleveland, New York. Educated in a rural and predominantly white public school that encompassed a very large area of students he saw anti-gay bigotry as well as other forms of discrimination rampant. It was there at the age of 15 and (finally) access to the Internet at home he realized that he was gay but remained in the closet until he was 19 and met his first boyfriend. After that the doors were flung open and he vowed never to go back into the closet. In the year 2000 Daimeon joined the United States Air Force and was later assigned to work in the Pentagon in January of 2001, ten days before Mr. Bush's coronation ceremony. After going through 9/11, the loss of freedoms he thought he was defending, a demand for the Federal Marriage Amendment, and not wanting to have to hide his sexuality anymore, in early 2004 Daimeon decided, with a window of opportunity, to get out of the USAF (which he is still proud of to this day and has no regrets from having been in). Now, as a private citizen he is free to express his opinions and to try and better serve his country by actually defending the Constitution and its guarantees against all enemies foreign and especially domestic. In late 2005 Daimeon discovered the world of blogging and the rich depth of information they provided in their commentaries of the US political system and shortly there-after decided to create a blog of his own, Get-The-Skinny.com. In Mid 2006 with the help of Joe Brummer, and Kevin Kaatz began Tiny Queer Footballs. Daimeon is now a permanent guest Barista on Pam's House Blend where he'll be helping to serve up those hot steamy fresh cups of truth that the "pro-family" side is so scared of. With plans of adding his own "spice" he hopes to be a valuable asset to the Blend. He adds "Remember to leave the tip with your host and blogmistress, Pam, by clicking the PayPal button to the left." |
