The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

Mike Signorile interview with HRC's Joe Solmonese

by: Pam Spaulding

Tue Nov 06, 2007 at 20:45:00 PM EST

Hot off the press -- Mike Signorile on his radio show today asked some really tough questions about Human Rights Campaign's conversion from opposition to...to neutral on...to full support of a transgender protection-free ENDA.

Click here for audio or use the player below.

Joe Solmonese definitely didn't sound like a happy camper.

If we are going with parts why not just leave out gay men?
I mean when he talks about getting parts passed isn't lesbain more accepted then gay men? Shouldn't we be focusing on parts that can pass like that? I mean a lot of men I know think the lesbain part is hot and a turn on. I'm sure it would be ok to leave the gay men out to get it passed.

They are going to score people negatively that vote against it!?!?!

Boy oh boy, what a piece of shit organization the HRC has beome in the lead up until today.

Scoring congresspeople negatively on their civil rights votes because they are voting against a bill that is not inclusive enough - absolutely incredible  So now we can be assured that their Congressional Scorecard can't be trusted as well.

I am going to remember what the HRC has done today for years.

what they do not understand is
the internet has made the Transgender movement stronger. More and more of us are coming out with support of each other each day. Watch them start to scream if we get a lobby group equal to HRC. Watch them start to scream once they see we aren't the minority that they thought we were. We are a growing group that has been here for a long time. The internet has made us stronger and we will not forget how we were betrayed. That is what has changed.

Their whole game of throwing us out isn't working like it used to because we have so many more methods now open to us. It is a wake up call that we are moving and will be stronger. That is the lesson I see from ENDA in that the groups like HRC who live in the past will soon lose whatever they have because times are a changing we will rise up above this and become stronger.

Picket HRC offices in D.C.
Be heard.  Out loud, like you did at Stonewall. Changes are not made by guppies in suits talking out both sides of their mouth.  Did Rosa Parks raise money in order to protest?  Get in the media through your actions, not through fundraising.

Make alot of noise. Life is short.

[ Parent ]
Influence Renee Richards
To join you in the picket line.  She will make news, bring the media, and it will be good for her personal self esteem.  Much better than suicide.

Make alot of noise. Life is short.

Weasel much, Joe?

I was going to post what I thought as I listened to this, but after reading it, I noted it was too profane.

Joe, the credibility of HRC is gone.

Kiss my ass.

opposition to...to neutral on...to full support
Yes I supported HRC, than went neutral, and have been opposing for a while, well since Black Wednesday when their silence was telling.

Thank you Joe Solmonese, you have shown me now how gullible I was.  As you said, "look at your actions in the future to see where HRC stands."  Sorry, I will look at your Recent History.

As for your Score Card when you rate politicians, I will watch closely. And any you give a high score after tomorrow, I will support their opposition, and vote for them as well if I can Legally do so.

I think I will vote for a Republican, that way I know what to look forward too.

If I make sense? it was quite by accident.

Listen Carefully

The last 30 seconds.

Now he's saying that should ENDA-without-the-T actually get to the stage of a Presidential signature, the HRC would oppose it.

Don't believe me? Listen to it again.

And we're expected to believe the HRC on anything now?

This is nauseating.

There is no situation so complex it can't get even worse

Will any of their big funders pull the plug

the only way to tame the beast is to have those who they care about (wealthy donors) walk away from HRC in droves.  They could really give two shits about the transgender community or anyone not willing to pony up to them with big bucks.

Erickson Foundation did, last I heard

Erickson Foundation and Big Bucks.????

I co-ran the National Transsexual Counseling Unit in SF's Tenderloin from mid 1971 to early 1973.

We were funded by a grant from Reed Erickson.  It paid us absolute minimum wage.

Reed was into a number of other projects as well. Aaron Devor has more about him on his website.

For what it is worth the grant was to counsel not to be activists.

Further most long term post-SRS women are not part of the political identity transgender.  We integrate as women and our interests politically are those of women.

 I am not a T in LGBT I am an L.

I support extensions of protections to Transgender because of the "gender presentation"  Too many lesbians are fired because they are too butch, gay men because they are too feminine.

Therefore I support transinclusion even though as a WBT I am not transgender, I support it because I do n ot like people's lives to be restricted to narrow stereotypical gender roles.

Ya know...

I was just starting to regret a teeny bit about my posts inthe other thread.

Nope. Not a word, ot a bit, and I am deadly serious.

Unless someone can give me a good reason not to, I am going to do everything I can to kill this bill and  to ruin Frank and the HRC.

All I ask is one good reason not to.

Because I sure as hell can't think of one.

http://www.dyssonance.com  Breaking all the rules...

Umm...because that's either wrong or unrealistic?
http://www.atheists....

This isn't a game. It must seem that way because you're being treated as a pawn, but it's not a game.

If you have the power to do anything to stop the passage of this bill, it's immoral.

if you don't, it's a crazy way to use your energy, when you could be finding a Congressional candidate who would serve your interests once elected and fighting like hell for that person.

But wait, there's more!

[ Parent ]
It didn't hurt Shrub's faith based BS,
Spineless Democraric Representaives and Senators will not take him on.  The abstaince only failure is proof.

  As you say,

if you don't, it's a crazy way to use your energy, when you could be finding a Congressional candidate who would serve your interests once elected and fighting like hell for that person.

I am sure doing my best to support Dennis Kucinich. I am also supporting people in my state and my district, All local positions as well. From the President to the City Council Member, to Local Dog Catcher.

If I can't find one that makes the ballot that I can support fully, I must look for the lesser of two evils.
But I now feel that I might as well vote for the one that can be truthful that is upfront on telling me I can't ride on his bus, knowing where I am at, than be thrown over someplace inbetween.

If I make sense? it was quite by accident.

[ Parent ]
Nope, not enough.

Its immoral for me to not oppose it, given that morality for me is determined by my faith.

Its also unethical for me to not oppose it.

Nor am I thinking of it in terms of a game.  I've been fucked over and I've never sat still for it before, and I'm not going to stop now.

And I didn't even get a kiss.

Who says I'm not going to use my energy to find a candidate who will do that?

I can do that *and* oppose this and work to ruin to HRC and Frank.

Crazy way?  Well, why the hell shouldn't I be crazy?  Crazy with rage?  Hell, I've been called crazy form the day I came out.  Even the feaking APA says I'm crazy.

Fuck yeah its crazy.

But crazy doesn't mean stupid.

Give me a good reason.

 Come on, really.

Give me the sort of reason you have for supporting it.  A WIIFM kinda reason.

Cause honey, right now, there's less than jack.

No game.  This is *my* life I'm talking about, and I'm goddamned sick and tired of working my ass off to get tossed away because I make people feel freaking icky.

You go read in my diaries here -- read that open latter to Mr Frank.  You tell me how I'm going to be able to deal with this?

I just talked my boyfriend into supporting Hate Crimes (which he's agianst) and marriage -- and he's in freaking tennesee.

My wife marched down there with me in her first time voting ever in her life and helped to stop the amendment from passing here in AZ against marriage.

Both of them thought that I was already covered under federal law.

Most of the country thinks its the right thing to do.

No.  You give me a reason I can stand behind that will promise *me* something in return for my change of heart.

Because otherwise, ya'll can kiss my ass -- this won't make it through the Senate.

[ Parent ]
A Reason

Unless someone can give me a good reason not to, I am going to do everything I can to kill this bill and  to ruin Frank and the HRC.

Killing the bill would be wrong, for the same reasons pulling Ts out was wrong. Because it would hurt people. Yes, it would be "pragmatic", "practical" etc etc as passing it would  certainly delay the granting of basic human rights to T people indefinitely. On past history, at least 20 years, maybe 50 years, maybe much longer. Maybe less though, as in 30 years time, a new generation of politicians will be in power.

I can think of no good reason though for doing everything we can to destroy HRC. The best and most ethical way of doing this is to remind everyone at every opportunity in the future of (to be charitable) their total incompetence, and untrustworthiness. Now no-one, not the politicians they try to influence, not their membership, and not other groups can trust them. Moreover they have been so politically inept at this one that contributors should wonder whether their money is being well-spent on a group who handles things so badly. There are other groups out there, ones far more effective. It would be hard to find anyone less so, in fact.

There is no situation so complex it can't get even worse

[ Parent ]
I can, regarding,
as you said,
I can think of no good reason though for doing everything we can to destroy HRC

I sypported the HRC with time, money, and getting other to join.  I paid them to stab me in the back!!!

If I make sense? it was quite by accident.

[ Parent ]
LOL yeah, thanks.
It should have been I can think of no good reason for not doing everything I can to destroy the HRC.

http://www.dyssonance.com  Breaking all the rules...

[ Parent ]
Why is the solution to ruin the HRC?

Stop supporting them, yes, want them dead, no.  Despite all the mistakes they have made in the past, they have also done a lot of good.  Why not just try to make them see the light, preserve the HRC while forcing it to change directions?  Ask for a change in management.  It seems that right now is a good time to try to do that.  I would in fact not be surprised if there are a couple of resignations coming.

Think, for comparison, about our country.  Would you like to blow it off the face of the earth because of all the awful things that W has done to us and to the rest of the world?

I have spent 30 years of my life marching and demonstrating for the rights of minorities and immigrants.  For what?  So that they can come back and mock me, write me off, work against me because I'm gay--the undeniable truth is that immigrants and minorities are more prejudiced than the national average.  Does that mean I want all minorities and immigrants to lose their rights?  To disappear?  No, I want them to change.

[ Parent ]
Tom, that's the best so far.

Zoe hit me where I live (and she's good at that), but you've actually started to address something.

If They can find two Transfolk who would be willing to join their board and get rid of Joe, and they do this within the next, say, 90 days, then I might give them a chance.

That would get me to calm down.

Publically accepting and apologizing not just for this time, but for the last one as well, and acknoweldgeing the crap they've done, that would help too.

But Donna Rose left because they didn't like her insistence.

HOw willing am I?

Yeah, I'd do it.  And it would cost me my boyfriend, almost certainly.

But whatever they do, they have to do it now.  Not "next year", not "eventually, when you are ready" or "the time is right".

Otherwise, let that next generation go to a better organization.

http://www.dyssonance.com  Breaking all the rules...

[ Parent ]
Why? Here's why

"Why is the solution to ruin the HRC?"

Because it has proven itself to be an ongoing criminal enterprise - one that hae benefited from a continuing pattern of objectively fraudulent activity: conning money from individuals (possibly mostly trans people, but I would assums some non-trans folks as well) based on certain concrete promises (such as to not support non-inclusive legislation) that, unlike the hopes of passing such legislation (or electing candidates), was something entirely within HRC's control and is still within its control.

HRC said 'X', knowing that at least some individuals would donate money based on its 'X' statement, but then, of its own volition, did 'Y'.

That is FRAUD!

HRC, has made many mistakes,
No group is perfect, and one hopes that mistakes are used for a positive learning tool. Many had warned me that HRC should not be trusted, and others had told me they are making changes and give them a chance.  I did a bit of homework, but not enough.  I came out in 2005 and wow what a world.  I knew that LGBT people where discriminated against, and that is what kept me locked in the closet, hateing almost every moment of it.  Up until the day I got the guts to come out, after a few unsuccessful suicide attempts. I met new friends and found support and transitioned.

In the begining of my transition, I didn't know all the different ways that LGBT people are discriminated against. I didn't pay that much attention to the political side of LGBT politics, I just shut it all out.

As they say, the new ones on the block can be gullible, and that is me.  I found a support group, and was given the positive things HRC had promised.  At the Same time I was also introduced to other groups, NCLR and Lambda Legal as I was faced with a nasty divorce.  I learned alot about other LGBT groups as well.  NCLR and Lambda Legal helped me keep custody of my daughters, all pro-bono.  And I feel obligated to help them in return, and support those they support.

Barney Frank, with support from HRC, took on Lambda Legal, to out right attack them. But did not speak out against NCLR, who is vocal against a non-inclusive ENDA.

And I have to ask why? Connect the dots so to say. All I can come up with is one difference, Lambda Legal fights for a prisoner's rights to transition in prison.  IMHO, that was a target of Barney Frank, NCLR does more in divorces and custody cases. other than those differences, they have been the same on GLBT issues.  So why did Barney take on LL?

And why did HRC stay silent after Black Wednesday?  My guess, is to keep those on the action lists that send letters to congress, supporting HRC's view while not reading what they were signing, but the trust that HRC supported it, must be OK.

That is what I call being used, which leads to not trusting a group.  HRC lied to me and many many others, took our money to buy a knife and stab us in the back.  No matter what HRC does, I will not trust them, and watch every move and oppose them as well.

If it means That a Democratic Candidate has the support of HRC, I will have to vote for the opponent, the Republican if need be.  HRC, cheated me, and used the money I supported them with, and screwed me.

I say SCREW HRC, and not only by funding, but voting against the elected people they support.  So all politicians, look and see, if you have HRC that equals no vote from me.

If I make sense? it was quite by accident.

[ Parent ]
90 days.

I will give them 90 days.

In those 90 days, they must put two transfolk on the board, and remove Joe Solomonese. Not negotiable.

And I don't care if they can't find two.

I won't oppose the crippled ENDA any longer -- I've got reasons now.

But Frank and HRC are going to have to something *extraordinary* to get me to think about supporting them or ever saying anything positive about them or to stop me from working against them, specifically.

And each day they fail to put a fix up in congress -- in session or not -- I will send off a letter to their offices, and to all the members of congress.

Tomorrow, I go to picket my friends.  And when they ask why I'm picketing the HRC office here, I will tell them.

Zoe, sis...

That's asking me to support something that was intentionally done to hurt me.

I'll still fight for all the things I believe in -- life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness --  and you know how hard I fight and how passionate I am.

To me, it would be better to kill this one and start anew, this time inclusive, and to start now, than to let this one pass. As you noted, it'll be decades.  15 years if we are lucky -- and sorry, I'm a strong and potent student of history and the chances of a friendly set up then are slim to none.

You know I think you are great. Weve partnered on some interesting educational efforts by accident, lol.

All I've been told for two months now is to shut up ya crazy trannie -- this is helping *me*.

Well, it was supposed to help me, too, and no one gave a rat's ass about me.  They want me to care about what's in it for them, now, after I've been cast to the ground, knifed, and left for dead?

Truthfully, I don't know if I can be that good.

God it hurts. It hurts so bad.

http://www.dyssonance.com  Breaking all the rules...

[ Parent ]
Never Forget, Never Let Them Rest

Truthfully, I don't know if I can be that good.

Course you can. You wouldn't be alive now if you couldn't. Being TS is not easy, and only those who refuse to give in to despair, hatred and berserk fury at those who oppress us get to survive. The rest get consumed by bitterness. They die.

Turning the other cheek is a survival skill for us, it's pragmatic, not "goodness".

Of course that doesn't mean keeping quiet, and letting them walk over us without continually pointing out, both to themselves and others that that's what they're doing. We won't give their consciences a rest, nor allow them to deceive themselves that they're acting ethically.

Our main strength is the persistance those of us who transitioned late have had to learn.  Keeping up the boy act for minute after minute, hour after hour, day after day, year after year, decade after decade before finally saying "ENOUGH!" means we have far more obstinacy, stubbornness, pig-headedness, recalcitrance, resolve or just sheer dogged determination than most women.

So we will continue to be the spectre at the feast, making sure that this situation is never forgotten, and will always be "unfinished business" until they put it right. And in order to do *that* we need to hold the moral high ground, as it's their already uneasy consciences that will work for us. And that means doing whatever we can for GLBs, whether they persecute us or not.

Also - and this is where I show my dreadfully old-fashioned sense of morality - because it's the right thing to do. Too many of us are GLB as well as T to punish, we'd be hurting our own. Conscience is a two-edged sword.

Mirror, Mirror

I'm merely reflecting what was already within you, Sis.

As for Rep. Frank, I'll hold off, but only because I'm Australian, and so have no vote. Otherwise I'd be publicising to Massachusetts GLB groups the fact that he won't even marry his partner, as he doesn't want to be seen as too Gay. Something that weakens the same-sex marriage cause considerably.

Then there's other issues whuch have been successfully supressed until now.

August 25, 1989 World News Tonight, Sam Donaldson :

"Massachusetts Representative Barney Frank, an acknowledged homosexual, today confirmed that his Washington apartment had been used as a callboy headquarters by a male prostitute for a year and a half until late 1987. Responding to a story in today's Washington Times, Frank said he had hired the prostitute out of his own funds as a personal aide and fired him when he found out what was going on."

The fact that the GOP hasn't dared pursue this worries me a lot as a RWDB. It means they have even worse behaviour to cover up. And I don't mean Foley, as they still haven't used it against Frank so far. It must be something worse.

At which point does he become a liability, not an asset, to the DNC?

Signorile was great

He didn't let Solomnese off the hook for one second.

There is nothing at all to be pleased about in this mess.  The bill will be submitted at the expense of the T community, with enormous exceptions for religious organizations and business groups - the two groups most likely to discriminate, in fact pretty much the reason this bill is necessary - and its never going to be debated in the Senate or signed by the President.

It's all about laying down a marker?  How cynical and cold and lifeless.

Play that tape again, Mike...lets hear Solomnese's impersonation of Romney again.

We need a third party.

And whats that marker say?
it says that The T isn't worth thinking about.

http://www.dyssonance.com  Breaking all the rules...

[ Parent ]
Damn, Tom, I'm sorry.

I failed to answer your question.

Why is that the solution?

Because they have, thus far, proven that they will never support transinclusive efforts so long as its even the slightest bit more difficult.

THey are utterly ineffective in this area (the PAC -- the other half is actually doing something, but that's the result of DOnna's efforts and the other trans that worked for them for a while) when it comes to trans, and the reason for it is that they don't have any understanding or care about the T.

He said it himself (Joe): look at their actions.  I have. And what they've done is betray and sacrifice the Transgender community for the purpose of making a deal to get a bill passed.

Twice.

Well, here's what Sent:

I will dedicate my efforts to seeing that HRC is ruined for the actions that Joe Solomonese has stated are to be the test of their trustworthiness.

I will picket my local offices.
I will speak out against donating and supporting the HRC in *any* way.
I will Donate to candidates that are running against HRC's choice -- even if they are anti-LGBT
I will speak out against HRC at each and every event I go to.
I will do everything I can to discredit and defame HRC
I will gather petitions to bar the HRC from being acknowledged by law as a lobbyist group.
I will use my effort to expand this effort of mine, until the HRC is gone.

Unless...

within 90 days you can somehow find two transfolk to put on your board of directors *and* Joe Solomonese steps down and leaves HRC.

Nothing else will suffice.  HRC has twice intentionally betrayed the Transgender community, and I will never ever let you forget it, for as long as I live and breath.

I am trans. What you did I take personally.

Joe said it: judge the HRC by its actions.

Well, I have.

Here is what I sent,
As a former supporter of HRC, I can no longer, Please advise every Representative that has support of the HRC, this includes ant marks on their score cards, that gives a Representative a high score for voting for HR 3685 will recive an opposing vote for the candidate, and I will support the candidate running against him.  Bring the Tammy Baldwin ammendment to the floor, and I will support those who voted for it, and oppose those who did not.  Joe, these represtatives listen to you, and you feel for Barney Frank's line of crap.  Have a full vote on the floor with your support, or we will have to support the candidates who opposed 1865 and actively vote against those who opposed it on the democratic side.

hhhmmm...

okay, lets start a company that makes..lets see...cars.

Okay, we make money, things are going great. We have great, safe cars for years. One day a car with a defect gets through our screening process and is sold. It fails to start.

Okay lets close the plant and stop making cars.

No, we improve our process to make sure this does not happen again. (And really 90 days? I can tell you have never worked in a non-profit by that statment, 90 days??)

Too often we in the LGBT community build up organizations and then when they do something we don't like we attack and tear them down. And its not just the organizations, its the people, laws, etc. Read the history of the LGBT movement, there are many times we have gotten to a point that advances the cause.......and then we destroy that advance. (if its Geffen, an organization or just the community as a whole).

While I understand that this is an emotional issue for you, step back, take a breath and think about it a sec.

nothing new at this time.....

Wisconsin

Matt, they've been taking deep breaths in Wisconsin for 22 years. They've been taking deep breaths in Massachusetts for 18. How long must these "deep breathing" exercises go on before we admit that the GLBs there are not now, and not ever "coming back for the T's"?

Okay, let's start a company
that makes cars.  We make money making cars.  We make very good cars for several years, but we only sell our cars to rich white men.  So we make enormous profits.

Then, we start hearing from other folks that they'd like to be able to drive our great cars, too.  So, we start promising to make cars and sell them to everyone.  We take orders for the cars.  We take deposits for the cars.  We promise shipments of the cars.  We give people delivery dates.  But when people show up at the dealer to pick up their new cars, they're told the company just couldn't find a way to make those cars and still make enormous profits.  Sorry.

Okay, suddenly the DA charges the company with fraud and shuts down their plant until they deliver on their promises.  And the DA fines them and gives them oh ... let's see ... ninety days to do what they said they'd do.

----------

This is NOT about one small mistake.  This is about a consistent pattern of failing to not just deliver on promises, but to actually live up to the organization's name:  HUMAN Rights Campaign.

have I liked HRC. Not one bit. Back in the 90s my XX did some work for them as an intern (40 year old intern with a Masters no less--working on his phD in Jesus scholarship at American U. under Gilbert Leap), and while he was extraordinarily articulate on debating the issues, he wasn't a "pretty person". All the while he watched fresh young white males right out of college or working on their bachelors get all the juicy work--worse, they were hired.

Even though we two were on the outs, I still supported him when he got that internship--did a dinky freebie flyer for some AU thing, but they never said thanks or were appreciative in anyway. Gave 'em the finger and never thought of supporting them in anyway ever again.

This whole ENDA issue has made me want to go all Fight Club on them. Bring 'em down, I say. I think I'll start by designing the anti-=. What's that look like? ">" or "<". "Me > ="? Or should it be a "= $". Hmmm.

Curses! My million dollar ideas foiled again: "God Bless Your Brand!" http://www.christvertising.com/

ENDA the line for the HRC.
ENDA the line for the HRC
Joe Solmonese,
David Smith,
HRC Board,
HRC Staff:

Kindly remove the " T " from any statement or location on your web site, from your letter head, from your  "mission statement" and from any other reference material, literature, publications, documents or any other materials you may possess, as quite barney frankly, we don't want a damned thing to do with you any longer.  To keep the " T " on anything you have only further demonstrates your chutzpah, your hypocrisy and your unspeakable act of cowardice.

Do not ever pretend to do anything for the T Community again.  We don't want your kind of "support."

You have lied to us.
You have cheated us.
You have robbed us.
You have sold us out.
You have stolen our safety and our security.
There is not enough vitriol on the planet to describe your duplicity, your level of deceit and your betrayal of the transgendered, so I will simply say to you with utmost sincerity:

God damn the HRC to hell.

At least I can live with myself when I go to sleep at night.  How you can is beyond me.

Most truly sincerely,
Jill Jay, a proud transwoman
Phoenix Arizona

Makes sense

Maybe a class action suit against HRC on behalf of all T's for damages, mental and emotional abuse.

Make alot of noise. Life is short.

I Plan to Continue to Support the HRC
As someone for whom gender identity is most indeed an issue (I can be seen as transgendered), I plan to continue to support the HRC. Why? Because (in my opinion) it's the right thing to do.

Listen Closely
You can actually hear Mike turning the spit as he roasts Solomonese over the coals.  If I sucked at my job as much as Joe does at his I would be so fired, ENDA or no ENDA.

Here we are, trapped in the amber of the moment. There is no why. Vonnegut

It gets better, lol.

I've been creating a transscript (prt one is up on my blog) and the overall result then is even more apalling.

He needs to be removed.
