A few of you have sent me links to the hilarious confirmation of 24/7 homofixation by the conservative fringe -- the top 10 pages viewed on the "Conservapedia" (the winger "alternative to Wikipedia). A screen shot that should surprise no one:

By the way, the top 10 Wikipedia pages viewed have zero to do with homosexuality, bowels or parasites:

They pretty much came to the conclusion that someone has let loose a spider to infiltrate this wanker of a site and mess with the fundies heads. They have along running battle with the morons at Conservapedia, particularly about creationism vs evolution but the conservapedia trolls are just as stupid as the trolls that occasionally turn up here ( he that shall not be named) and never seem to realise when they've been trumped.

Proof

This is one of the reasons I left the Repblican Party. I have felt for quite some time the new "conservatives" were obsessed with sex. "Goldwater" conservatives like myself have been very uncomfortable with this and find ourselves now being called by the likes of Rush Limbaugh as "left wing wackos". I also noticed when talking to a "new" Republican about same sex marriage the first response I'd get is "I don't care what people do in their bedrooms but.....". This proves that this statement is pure bullshit. I 've forwarded these two pages to my "conservative" friends and are awaiting their comments.

The most often viewed Wiki pages are...

...about TV, movies and video games, along with one book. And it's stuff whose audience is mostly under 18. That suggests that a lot of the folks using Wikipedia are kids, which is interesting. Conservapedia has accused Wikipedia of having a liberal bias, but although the most often viewed choices suggest a liberal lifestyle as far as having a lot of leisure time (liberal just meaning "with an emphasis on individual liberties," as opposed to Medieval serfdom), they're still just entertainment. It's all bland consumer junk-food, and that seems pretty conservative in itself. Wikipedia hasn't made anything countercultural more popular, it's just reflecting the popularity of things that are already popular. Our youth aren't running out and joining militant feminists and Zionists and Communists because of Wikipedia...they aren't doing anything. They're not being indoctrinated, they're idling and being entertained. That's actually their indoctrination vaccine.
