Another hostage, a young man, appears to have jogged out of the Rochester, NH Clinton campaign headquarters.

Apparently the hostage taker has come out also, and is prostrate on the ground.  He is being arrested.  Looks like this is safely over.

I feel badly

An update at CNN said he complained about being unable to receive adequate mental health treatment. Might be a good time for Hillary and the rest to address this issue too. The mental health treatment situation in this country is appalling.

Mental health treatment

The mental health treatment situation in this country is appalling.

It's the same here, too. Canada generally has a great healthcare system IMO, but in the area of mental health treatment they fall completely flat. They will pay for a doctor to write you a prescription, but not much beyond that.

i'm not digging

for that kind of dirt on this guy.  according to everything i've heard, he's just a mentally ill guy facing divorce and legal problems stemming from his abuse of his wife.  i see such emotional problems as independent of personal politics, especially since he wasn;t running for any kind of elected office.  

however, i do agree with the comments above that politics are involved to the extent that since reagan, our country has turned many mentally ill people out onto the streets when instead many of them should be receiving treatment.  whether this explains the hostage guy or not i can't say.  however, i'm more inclined to assume that this event was a human tragedy, not an opportunity for partisan ridicule.  instead of skewering this particular guy, i hope the candidates use this as an opportunity to address the sorry state of community mental health care in this country.  especially with all the veterans returning from the fertile crescent, we need to get serious about rejuvenating our mental health care system.

Yeah, that first post Pollyanna put up was kind of weird, but since then s/he has been has been a good contributor to the discussion here. On the other hand, this aptly named Clownley person shows up and posts 15 comments in 24 hours filled with Republican apologism, misogyny, and juvenile taunting. That sounds more like the Josh we have come to know and... well, know.
