Blend-o-licious endorsements...

The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

Halliburton/KBR employee: I was gang raped by co-workers and there was a cover-up

by: Pam Spaulding

Mon Dec 10, 2007 at 15:00:00 PM EST

Your tax dollars at work.
Jamie Leigh Jones, now 22, says that after she was raped by multiple men at a KBR camp in the Green Zone, the company put her under guard in a shipping container with a bed and warned her that if she left Iraq for medical treatment, she'd be out of a job.

"Don't plan on working back in Iraq. There won't be a position here, and there won't be a position in Houston," Jones says she was told.

In a lawsuit filed in federal court against Halliburton and its then-subsidiary KBR, Jones says she was held in the shipping container for at least 24 hours without food or water by KBR, which posted armed security guards outside her door, who would not let her leave.

And wouldn't you know it, nothing has been done about this heinous crime -- and the government made sure Jones had no evidence to bring her assailants to justice.
Jones told ABCNews.com that an examination by Army doctors showed she had been raped "both vaginally and anally," but that the rape kit disappeared after it was handed over to KBR security officers.

A spokesperson for the State Department's Bureau of Diplomatic Security told ABCNews.com he could not comment on the matter. Over two years later, the Justice Department has brought no criminal charges in the matter. In fact, ABC News could not confirm any federal agency was investigating the case.

Even if they hadn't "lost" the rape kit, our government -- George Bush's government -- has created a giant loophole for these contractors in Iraq that places them beyond the reach of U.S. law. Jones is going to have to settle for KBR's private arbitration. Like that's going to result in justice.
In a statement, KBR said it was "instructed to cease" its own investigation by U.S. government authorities "because they were assuming sole responsibility for the criminal investigations."

I'm so stunned I don't know what to say.
At this point of the game, nothing should surprise me. But this is so heinous! I feel completely helpless and sad.

Some of the comments at the ABC post
are just heinous.  Nasty, hateful stuff.

"If the apocalypse comes... beep me." -- Buffy Summers

Angry, but not surprised
This thoroughly angers and disgusts me. I wish I were surprised but I'm not.

Beyond angry
I am beyond angry. The government is helping the contractors cover up crimes to keep these things from being news. Where are Pelosi, Clinton, Obama and otther "leaders" of the Democratic party when events like this are discovered? Oh, that's right. They are too busy jettisoning Queer safety to fund this war and provide employment for rapists and murderers in the ranks of the "contractors."

I tell you Chica that no greater abomination exists than women denying their spirit of sisterhood and instead becoming the oppressor. -Rebeca, Universidad Complutense de Madrid
