Blend-o-licious endorsements...

The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

Daddy D goes for Huckabee

by: Pam Spaulding

Fri Feb 08, 2008 at 00:00:00 AM EST

Well damn, Dobson, there's no one left with any fundie cred in the clown car (save Alan Keyes). Guess he finally had to break down and do something. Folks, this pretty much signals that Dobson wants Huck on the ticket. Will McCain kneel before Daddy D?
James Dobson, one of the nation's most prominent evangelical Christian leaders, is about to endorse former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, The Associated Press has learned.

Dobson, founder of Colorado Springs, Colo.-based Focus on the Family, talked to the GOP presidential hopeful Thursday and later was to release a statement explaining his choice, said Gary Schneeberger, a spokesman for Dobson.

Huckabee had long sought Dobson's endorsement, believing he is the best fit to advance Dobson's conservative, moral worldview.

...Dobson released a statement Tuesday that criticized McCain for his support of embryonic stem cell research, his opposition to a federal anti-gay marriage amendment and for his temper and use of foul language. He said if McCain were the nominee, he would not cast a ballot for president for the first time in his life.

Yesterday, while bleating in another release he said: "I know the dangers of what (Sens.) Clinton and Obama stand for. I know what they will do to us. And yet, I'm being asked to do something that contradicts my conscience."

Tough Choice
Which would I like more: for Dobson to be impotent to effect change in the primary OR for Huckabee to be the nominee.. so hard to choose.

But I really want a Clinton v. McCain race now, if for no other reason, to see Ann Coulter campaign for a Clinton, as she has promised to do under that scenerio.

Where's a good Cotton Mather type when you need one?
My heart goes out. I'll bet that just like Clinton and Obama, McCain isn't OK with witch dunkings and beating the devil out of the deranged.

Sure is hard to find good help these days, eh Dobson?

Daddy D
Now, Daddy D has built his financial empire on his non-profit, charitable status. Since he's endorsed a presidential candidate will the IRS revoke his charitable tax status?

They should, lord knows (pardon the phrase), he's given them ample evidence.

Good Riddance
To bad rubbish.  I'm glad to see him decide not to vote.  We didn't want him to anyways.  The same goes for the rest of the fringe "right."

This really should be a wake-up call to them that they really are fringe and that their message of hate, fear, and socio-religio-dogma has well worn out it's welcome.  They clearly don't get that the American people as a whole are probably a lot closer to center in thier political/social views.  And that with every new generation of voters moving through the ranks the bass-ackwards Ideology of Church/State being conjoined twins, and that '1984' was a prophecy that needed to be fulfilled will pass like a dying ember.

"I would rather be exposed to the inconveniences attending too much liberty than to those attending too small a degree of it." -- Thomas Jefferson

Poor Dobson
Well, Huck is closest to him on social issues, but Dobson's rich supporters probably have issues with Huck's populism....

:::sigh::

What's a rich, priviledged bigot to do?

I tell you Chica that no greater abomination exists than women denying their spirit of sisterhood and instead becoming the oppressor. -Rebeca, Universidad Complutense de Madrid

may he lead them to stay home
i was delighted to see this quote: "[Dobson] said if McCain were the nominee, he would not cast a ballot for president for the first time in his life."  i hope he persuades his followers to likewise stay home and pray on election day.  we can only hope that he still has a following to influence by then; seeing as he is apparently unable to strong arm policy this cycle, some may decide he has lost his magical powers and abandon him.

why doesn't dobson just
collect his amassed yearly fortune and fund a third party?  clearly they're not able to hijack the republican party and get them to do what they want.  how many times do they have to get played as gullible fools (which they are) before they get wise?

hmmm....maybe even dobson himself should run.

The gays stole my lunch money

because it is easier
to tut tut over other peoples supposed shortcomings than to stand and perform yourself.  and, he might have to spend some of his ill-gotten loot on something other than himself.  the horror!
